Bayou gets you almost half your rake back, but every Pokerroom bonus better than 20x does even better than that unless you play 5max. I'd never play shorthanded at Pokerroom unless through Bayou.

Yes, I think that Pokertracker results would be skewed by the tightness of the players.

My charts page has current rake %% for 1/2 and 2/4 taken over the past 3 months (not counting December)

Does the quality of the players have any effect on the rake?

It seems like a site with tight players would have less rake. If there are a lot of hands that do not see a flop and no rake is taken, could that mess up the result of a study like that?

IF 8 players are seeing a flop and the rake is getting capped each hand..wouldn't that make the rake more for each player?

I'm just wondering.

Edit:

$5/$10 Full Ring rake comparison
Code:
Absolute $19.24 per 100 hands, 2.99% of the pot, 2k hands
Party $19.87 per 100 hands, 2.71% of the pot, 26k hands
PokerRoom(new) $21.40 per 100 hands, 2.88% of the pot, 16k hands
PokerStars $22.59 per 100 hands, 2.50% of the pot, 8k hands
Crypto $22.66 per 100 hands, 3.18% of the pot, 1k hands
Paradise $22.86 per 100 hands, 2.84% of the pot, 1k hands
Pacific $24.97 per 100 hands, 2.92% of the pot, 1k hands

i can pay only $10...

Found this thread on another site:

Seems that Stars has the lowest rake at almost every level, with Party and Pacific usually the highest.

You can compare the rake in Poker Tracker. Check rake % of pot on the Summary tab. I don't have PR in my data base, but my numbers show Party has the highest rake at $.50/1 and $1/2, while Crypto and Absolute are highest at $2/4. Poker Stars has the lowest rake. Paradise and Prima have comparatively low rake as well at these limits.

Virtually every online poker site has a web page that will explain their rake structure.

Poker starts with p. I wonder what the coincidence is.

I was playing some $1/2 at Pokerroom trying to fix a couple leaks that had developed from playing too passively before I moved back up.

Was shocked to see that a $10 pot was raked $1, as I didn't know any site had the gall to rake 10%.

Does anyone have a breakdown of the rake for different levels of play at different sites?

I have accounts with Pacific, Paradise, Prima, Pokerroom, Party, Stars, Absolute, and B2B.

Thanks
