Yeah, I know. I've BEEN grinding. It ain't no fun, but I'm used to it.
But what's really nice is I really think I'm playing well right now. I'm seeing the cards in a completely different way. I've won quite consistently, and not with the best cards -- much more consistently than I ever have, basically making about $35 a day playing 50-1 for a couple of hours. If things keep going this way, I'll have enough bankroll to move up to 1-2, and although that will probably still be a grind, it won't be as much of a grind as 50-1.
I've tried playing NL and am not at all comfortable with it. I haven't read much about it and, while I've played it some and have gotten more comfortable than I was at first, I'm still not comfortable enough to take the kinds of risks it entails. Once I feel I'm a very solid limit player, then I'll start researching NL.

I've read a good part of the 101 guide as well as messages on the forums and the bonus grid and a lot of it's starting to make sense to me. But I don't get the Poker Stars recommendation at the beginning of 101 guide because Poker Stars doesn't offer a sign-up bonus. I mean, I want to start being a whore, but I can't if I put my money in Poker Stars. All I can do is play poker, which I'm already doing. Do a search for it to find some good threads. However, those sites are contributed hands so it encouarages you to see tons of flops that you would normally not see. When you read the post on the forum you read about people making hundreds and thousands of dollars and you think to yourself "i want some f that it sounds easy, free money for just playing". but what you have to remember most of these guy's are skilled solid winning players. You'll encounter situauas during your whoring career where you wont know how to handle it if you haven't got a solid skill base , and this will lead to you losing money
e.g. I've always had problems playing against call stations. They'll constantly suck me out which will tilt me and i'll lose even more money. So yesterday i had a 12 hour session, for most of that time i had at leat 1 if not 2 call stations in the game with me so i decided to learn to play agaisnt them cuz i'm only playind 0.15/.30c so little risk with experimentation. If you can, i highly recommend starting at ladbrokes (not too sure about whether americans can play there, i'm a Uk resident so can and therefore havent investigated this but there's plenty info for if you do a search on these forums). My own plan is as follows from Ladbroke-goldenriviera-bet365-betfred. this should get me up to $600 from $100. from my own researches the sites ive chosen seem to be the easiest to clear (defo recommend ladbokes ) Then im gonna whore my way around the prima network ( i think-more research needed about this)
Definately take it at your own pace. i personally dont have the bank roll to go higher than 1/.50. My own recommendation is dont multi-table until you have good skill level. My own experiences have made me realize its quite hard for a begining playerto build skill if your constantly thinking ablout other tables and multi-talbling errodes the little skill i have.
