I've heard BetFred has now changed their bonus. No more 250 bonus for 2500 raked hands. It's like $10 for 500 points, so you need 12,500 points.

Uhm... I'm going to make a wild suggestion that it might not be a super good idea to provide a direct link to one of BW's biggest competitors.

[edit] Looks like someone agreed with me. I didn't hit the button, just figured it was an honest mistake and everyone likes to get the best deal.

I can now "not lose" at low levels on pokerstars.

I'll look into paradise. I suppose you have to bet in the hand for it to count?[/img]

I found it harder to play on stars than other sites so not losing may be a good sign (though I usually played 2/4 and up where the players may be a bit better). Paradise players are definitely worse.

No, you only have to be dealt cards on Paradise. The only catch is that the pot must reach $5 for it to be raked at the required .25.

Oh, and if you don't have money to spend on poker books, I found some decent advice at http://www.lowlimitholdem.com/ They don't really explain when you should fold certain hands (like AJo when facing an early position raise) but their starting hand charts work well for the loose games that you are likely to run into at Paradise.

If your going to Paradise, go here first:

Thanks for the replies

I have $200 to play with. I've lost $300 in my first 6 months of playing, due to not having a clue.

ChawkDee,

Every poker room takes a small fee from each pot people play for. Typically this is from 5%-10% of the total pot. For example, if a pot reaches $5 on Party Poker at the 5./1 tables, Party gets paid .50, leaving only $4.50 in the pot for the players to play for.

You can clear bonuses on the ongame network (Poker Room, Hollywood, Holdem Poker, and others) at the .25/.50 level and you should win a good bit just by playing good poker against bad players. However the clearance rate would be fairly slow. Paradise poker might be a good place to start because I think you get a $10 bonus for every 100 hands that are raked at .25 or more. But the pots need to reach $5, so this might also be fairly slow.

How much money do you have to start with by the way? Party Poker and BetFred both offer good bonuses that can be cleared at the .5/1 levels but you'd generally want $500 or $250 to start with there. I think Party even offers beginner's tables where you can play at very l...

I'm a new whore too - Ladbrokes i cashed out yesterday and am half way through golden riviera today. They are two v.easy sites (especially G.riv) to whore at and great for a newbie at .25/.50

I think ive read there can be trouble for thai whores with neteller accounts but this can be gotten around. Do some searches on the forum

Which site is best for me. I'm new to whoring. I live in a poor part of the world (NE Thailand) and would be happy earning $5 an hour.

I'd want to play low limits(.25/.50 and below)

I don't really understand the raking system yet.

Which site pays out for playing this level.

Cheers my fellow whores.
