I am far from the most skilfull whore out there.
If your not good enough to show a profit from there on a monthly basis you need to find somthing else to do.

I've been playing the ring games because I can play them on auto pilot. From your's and monger's post I'm going to have to clear some of my monthly bonuses at these. Nice win m0nger.

The only time I see lots of pre-flop raising is when there is an obvious LAG or two.
I also agree they are the softest games around -- I have only been playing Poker since Feb 04 and basically suck but still manage about 1.5 BB/hr on £1/2 tables which makes it v. profitable with the generous monthly bonuses. | | Static Link |

There must be a way to be successful here, do you just hang in there and tighten up or what?
The key here isn't just to play tighter, it's to play hands that do well in raised multiway pots. Hands like suited aces and smaller suited connectors don't do well in this game, because a suited ace is difficult to play in a raised pot as you won't know where you stand when you flop an ace, and suited connectors wont get the implied odds needed and will have to pay when the flop a draw.
However in this game you should play all pairs often even if the pot is raised because my experience in this game is that these players not only a... | | Read Entire Entry |

I just play a tighter version (flop pct betweeen 17-19%) and concentrate more on position. In early pos, I only play AA-TT, AK, AQ, KQs. That way, if it's raised, I don't mind paying 2 to see it. I actually like these tables, I always seem to do well on them. So my advice is tighten up, be patient and steamroller them when you have the best of it.

As far as the getting sucked out on thing, I know it blows, but I think it has nothing to do with the site. I was on paradise recently and had the exact same thing happen to me. I'd have AA, flop a set, there'd be nothing else on the board, and 5 people would stay in with me ALL THE WAY TO THE RIVER, where one would pull out some ridiculous straight draw and everybody else would turn out to have nothing. I had a session there that was my worst of all time, 300 hands, 4% win rate, really just horrible. Over all my required 2000+ hands it turned out okay though. People would repeatedly just call and raise me with nothing, and then at the end they'd have nothing, I'd have top pair or whatever, and I'd win a $30 pot (at 0.5/1).
BTW maybe I should start a seperate paradise thread. I seem to remember hearing it's tight there, but that is not true at all, at least at the 0.5/1 and 1/... | | Read Entire Entry |

| Posted by: m0nger at August 2, 2004, 8:53 pm | | Topic: Interpoker sucks Forum: Bonus Whores | This sunday/monday morning, after clearing a crypto casino bonus, I went to the poker room (another crypto/wagerlock skin ... same poker tables as interpoker except for the tournaments) to work on that bonus, and ran it up to 1,700 HUNDRED playing a 1/2 6-handed NL game. People were going allin left and right with $100-200 stacks like it was a freeroll tournament, and I didn't get burned often on any of my good starting cards, so I made a mint. Between that win, and another big crypto win (1K in the casino) this weekend, I can't think of a bad thing to say about crypto sites at the moment.

I cannot believe my day on Will Hill. 15/20 hands I took to the end, I took impossible beats on the river. I mean 10:1 or worse odds and ppl just kept sucking out with these horrible draws. Such as the hand that I just racked out on where the dude caught perfect to make 3kind with his bottom pair when I had top 2 pair. I'm running the hand thru a simulator and I'm 20:1 in favor before the river. And the dude was calling raises with that garbage.
