Nonsense. This isn't the US doing this...it's some corporations that happen to be in the US. If you think Harrah's cares about something other than making money for Harrah's, well I have some $4 casino chips to sell you.

The cover actually sports a small headline (above the cover story) "Can you really stop online gambling?"
I won't go into all the detail, but the article makes some interesting observations. One of them is that now that all the UK online casino shares have plummeted, they're ripe for takeover by US landbased casinos looking to get into the European online market. And, if this happens they will then (with their REAL lobbies) petition Congress to throw out the ban:
