Sadly it doesn't work that way. When I won the Binion's tourney last month they filled out a W2 right there for me so the IRS knows about that money.
JP, did the Nugget have you do the same for your win? | | Static Link |

A few of my friends and I are entering some of the smaller ($1,000 - $2,500) events and I wanted to take a shot at winning my way in first. Only online satellites that I recall seeing are for the $10k event.
Two words about tournaments: tax ramifications. Also: paper trail.

JM, you can actually check out our tournament database for the WSOP satellites that you desire. Chris has set up a function in which you can specifically search for WSOP events. Be careful though, many of them are satellites to the qualifiers.

I've taken a shot at 2 WSOP qualifiers on Will Hill and with only like 80 entrants I've failed miserably. I'm hoping thats because I'm gonna rape the sat. I won into at the B&M in april. Top 3 outta 50......if I can't do that I don't deserve to be in the WSOP yet. Trying to get back into some tournies it's been a long 6 months prolly without any play in'em | | Static Link |

Cool, thanks for the info. That 6Pak tournament is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. | | Static Link |
