Never mind how few of us actually have that much bankroll to play that limit, along with lack of experience at mid-level hold'em, you also have to figure in how difficult it is getting into one of those games. I've seen a table fill-up and stay full at 10/20 & 15/30 on party for hours with no one leaving, along a waiting list 9-10 players deep.
My guess is Party figures most of their players won't realize how difficult it is to attain this goal, and will play like mad to get there. Party takes in a lot of rake from looser than usual players trying to make sure as many pots as possible are raked.
That would explain why I did so well at the $3/6 LHE jackpot tables this past weekend. But it would not explain why I got my ass kicked at a 5/10 jackpot table (No variance would explain that, some fish call my AA 3 bet pre-flop with 5,2 offsu... | | Read Entire Entry |
