Forum: Bonus Whores | To clarify....the two 10k tourneys i play a week are comps that I get for placing large money bets at a poker/sportsbook site. So they are not open to the general public. Just wanted to mention them because they are whored. I pay nothing to enter. The 5k i jack off PR and its skins...they all have one based on player pts which you need to clear em out anyways. Cool.

You boost me into a fishtank 10k freeroll...I'll make a pass at it. I am playin 3 freerolls a week now...one 5k and two 10ks. Over the last 12 mos ive made over 3k off of them. Best one was 1st in the 6k Pokerroom player points freeroll which is not a regular. 500 bux and 1k freerolls? have a nice day...but you start talkin about 10k...well then we go. If you are a shorty with less than 2 or 3k....id consider multitabling one or two of the best into your schedule....they take hours upon hours if you do well. Pls post big freeroll win stories here if you get one. PEACE.

| Posted by: anabolicaces at October 2, 2005, 7:09 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | I got started with free rolls on pacfic. I won 2 of their $100 ones.
I think they're a great way for new people to learn without the risk of losing anything but with chance they may win.
Can't say i bother with them now, but i did like Empires $500 freerolls aside from the 20minute levels. If they had changed them to 8-12 mins and kept the raked hand requirements it would of been good but now you get tons of people playing etc. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: timbrux at September 29, 2005, 5:03 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | Freerolls are a great way for a new player to get learn the ropes. But some new sites offer huge freerolls that can keep even the best player in the money. I've heard of a new site that's coming out next week that's going to offer cash and prizes in the amount of $155K a month.
But the problem is finding the sites. I found a site that lists freerolls but only the major sites. Anyone else know of a good site?

Forum: Bonus Whores | I started out with 25 dollars on PokerRoom.scam and turned it into 14k to launch my career as a professional scammer. Freerolls played a large part in my initial bankroll building. PokerRoom offers 500 dollar freerolls 3x per day with max entrants at 2400. In my opinion it is an utter waste of time unless you are a shorty. Its the small buy-in "add-on" tournaments that are very profitable. On PokerRoom for instance they offer a 2 dollar buy in A+Rebuys 4k guarantee prize pool. If you took first you are making 600 to 1 on your money. The play is an utter joke with level II hands constantly going all in. Tournaments like this all over the place. Also Bodog has some sick overlays if you can afford the higher buy ins. Peace.

| Posted by: Guacamole at September 16, 2005, 5:36 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | Pokerdogg. If you play in the big free rolls its pretty much like a 10 buck buy in sometimes.
But the difference is, most of the players in it are not MTT quality players. The good players don't usually waste their valuable time in free rolls, right? So this makes the free roll actually worth more than what it would cost to buy in. Since you are playing the weakest competition a good player will make more per tournament on average.
However, that being said, I've noticed an increase in regular good tourney players in the free rolls that I play regularly. But they are still less than 5% of the total players.
So to recap. Free rolls have mostly bad players. Some free rolls have several thousand dollar prize pools. Free rolls have no risk. Free rolls are GooT.
Plus when you lose in free rolls who cares? Nothing lost. When you lose in a buy in that 3 outer on the river pisses you off when you lose. No stress no worries. No risk no losses. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Pokerdogg at September 16, 2005, 3:30 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | I am curious as to the benefit of playing freeroll versus regular MTT tourneys. I don't mean this as disrespect, but I was wondering if you can do well regularly in MTT tourneys, wouldn't the pay off be better for the regular (paid) tourneys than the freerolls? With the exceptions of freerolls with few players, most freerolls I see have hugh number of players splitting relatively small prize pool. The same number of hours invested in a regular tourney, assuming the same placement, would net a much higher real dollars return. Of course, nothing can beat the infinite rate of return in a free roll, but only if you consider the worth of time as zero.
Having said that, I have played in a number of free rolls. I've never placed in money for them, and use them as a training ground and for fun more than anything. I imagine if I start doing well in them, I would move to regular tourneys. Thoughts?
Thanks,

| Posted by: ThatDarnCat at September 16, 2005, 12:15 am | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | | I guess I'll add a freeroll now that I've whored them and made some bank on it. Betfred offers a couple of retarded freerolls on Saturday. One is the $500 PL Omaha freeroll for people who have played 50 raked hands of omaha in the previous week. 28 people entered this tournament last week and it was glorious. Theres a couple more on betfred that are semi easy to get into and always have under 40 people registered. I will let you find those on your own. | | Static Link |

Quote: Big Fat Weekly Freerolls for WPT seats!
Dear Buffeto,
Now you can FREEROLL EVERY WEEK against a ridiculously small number of players to win a $10,000 WPT or WSOP seat, including travel!
PokerBlue has already given away FIVE WPT seats in freeroll tournaments so small that they redefine the term overlay ? featuring a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 135 players.
Now, every week you too can qualify for PokerBlue's "Big Fat Weekly Freerolls".
To be eligible, simply play four hours on PokerBlue.com at $1/$2 limit or higher ? or any no-limit game. Once you?ve played your four hours, we?ll send you an invitation to play in the following Sunday?s freeroll tournament.
Better still, every week you play four hours qualifies you for another free shot at a WPT or WSOP seat.
Now through October 16, PokerBlue?s ?Big Fat Weekly Freeroll? qualifiers will compete for t... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: Guacamole at September 15, 2005, 6:30 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | For sure they are out there. Would take a dozen people to keep checking up on all the sites so you'd have them all covered when they are offered. I can't keep checking all the sites every week. Theres like 300 friggin sites or more now. The skins of the networks often offer site specific free rolls too, and those can be the best.
But not only that, theres numerous buy in tourneys with some nice add on prizes too. Sometimes giving you a free wpt seat and expense money. Just saw one of those for a 30 buck buy in, 180 entries and they paid out the prize pool on top of giving out the winner the wpt seat.
I just wish I had an assistant who would check all the sites for me everyday.
The free roll sites that have listings only list the ones they are affiliates with, so you would end up missing most all the really good ones that way. Theres just no shortcuts other than taking a day a month and begin the process of downloading and checking each site. Just checking their homepage doe... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: todd at September 15, 2005, 6:18 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | | I stand corrected! I didn't know there were that many good opportunities out there. I stopped putting in the research time after about half an hour, because I wasn't finding much. It sounds like I wasn't looking in the right places. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Guacamole at September 15, 2005, 12:43 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | Small, newer sites offer the best opportunities on the most part. Fewer numbers enter which makes it more valuable.
Also been seeing many many more WPT or WSOP package offers coming about for free rolls and extras for small buyins on top of the prize pools.
The sites are getting aggressive in their free roll tourney marketing.
I myself am not finding all the good offerings I'm sure. I usually search sites only when my present dailies dropout and I need replacements. Whenever I do go searching I find some I wish I had known about before. But right now I got some pretty good dailies and weeklies that keep me busy. Then there are the qualifiers for special events I got to keep up with, etc.
Optimally, I'd be going through each of the hundreds of sites listed on a weekly basis searchiing for new offerings. Sometimes I check out a site, it doesn't look promising but later they begin offering good free rolls. So it's a tough task. Since these are small new sites it's... | | Read Entire Entry |

Okay, a success story.
Now seeing as you've been around a bit, do you find that your more commercial (Party skins, etc) sites offer better freerolls than the less well known sites? Or vice versa? Any you'd recommend for a new guy starting something a little different from whoring? | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Guacamole at September 14, 2005, 8:20 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | You can make money in free rolls, mostly the restricted ones that require raked hands to enter. If you can find the good ones and concentrate on the higher paying ones, it's pretty good money. I just won one two days ago that paid 750, and that's the second time I've won that daily. I've won others that paid 1k. I've won dozens of others with payoffs between 90-250. I've made the final table often in big ones that paid between 350-580 Even if you don't win though you get paid off often enough so it adds up.
I make much more per month free rolling than I do clearing bonuses now, and I enjoy it much more. But like I say, you got to find the good free rolls.
They come in all forms, daily, weekly, monthly, special offerings, private offerings, even qualifiers to the big one. For instance, I'm plaing in password protected qualifiers right now to get into a 50k free roll.
It's just boundless what is being currently offered. It's only getting better and better each week. Daily 3k... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: todd at September 14, 2005, 12:24 am | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | A few people started their whoring careers with freerolls, but the EV/hour of clearing bonuses is significantly higher. Even rakeback provides a better rate of return for a break-even player.
The very best freerolls provide a reasonable hourly rate, but they are few and far between or they're only open to qualified players (usually those who have played a lot of poker). | | Static Link |
| Posted by: maxcavsm at September 13, 2005, 11:01 pm | | Topic: Freerolls vs. Whoring? Forum: Bonus Whores | I tried to do a search on "freerolls" and got inundated, so I'm going to have to ask the question.
This is just out of general curiousity, but given all the sites out there, and almost every one of them has several freeroll tournaments over the course of a day, I'm sure that the enterprising individual could spend 12-14 hours a day doing nothing but freerolls. I know they're not great money for the most part....anyone out there doing this? Does anyone do daily freerolls on certain sites?
Of course, I could be wrong here. | | Static Link |
