What Absolute is for $1/2 & $2/4 6max (tougher than normal, but still beatable games coupled with endless bonuses that clear quickly), Pokerroom is for $3/6 & $5/10 full ring.
If you can handle the competition, those are the best sites out there for whoring bonii. When I played mainly cash games, they were virtually all I played.

Buy a copy of Kill Phil.
It does a great job of explaining the logic behind pushing different hands vs calling pushes. Broke me of my attachment to the aforementioned Ace-rag hands.
Ace-rag does great against a "random hand', but not against the range of hands likely to call your all in (obviously, your cards are irrelevant if not called).
For instance, J10s is a much better hand to push all in than something like A5o even though A5o is the favorite heads up. This is because of the kinds of hands that are likely to call you, mostly pocket pairs or an Ace with a good kicker ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Since I have no illusions about being the best player at the WSOP I'm planning on employing the all-in move quite a bit myself if I have a pro trying to slap me around. I notice Helmuth just HATES that.

I was in last place for so much of tourney #1 that I never had the opportunity to do something stupid (something ELSE stupid since I'd donked off about half my chips early, thank god for the bigger starting stack). Being forced to play conservatively is probably what let me make it so far into the tournement. I chose my confrontations carefully from then on and I had the good fortune to be ahead or a coin flip (with chips to spare) every hand except the last one in #1 when I spiked a set with A2s against the other guy's 44. I actually folded AK when it was down to 4 when the tightest guy at the table suddenly went all-in UTG and I was virtually certain he had AA or KK (honestly the best move I made all tournament and I'm convinced that's what allowed me to win it all). With a big stack, I just bully people around and take the pots no one else seems too interested in. I find that I can chip up pretty safely without risk of giving it all back. Will still push with AK/QQ+, but otherwise don't want to take big risks.
That ultra-aggressive donk who finished 3rd in the one I won just loved his Ace-rag hands. To him, A6o was the stone cold nuts. I guarantee that I folded to his reraises at least once or twice when I had him dominated (once I had AJo, once A10s), but I preferred just to play smallball and wear people down postflop.

That three way AK hand was brutal. Splitting that 11k would have been sweet. The costs for hotel reservations seem pretty steep and that extra cash would have helped. I guess we don't get free accomodations so I might try to book someplace cheaper that's still nearby.
The third winner is the women/man who made that horrible play by calling my all in reraise with A9o (hitting that 3 outer against my AKs). She overbet her hand badly to begin with and called off the remaining 2/3 of her chips when she still had plenty to work with. Forum: Bonus Whores | I spent Friday and Saturday playing nothing but heads up SNGs on Pokerstars....and I'm actually below .500 right now; but I think the experience in grinding people down came in very handy.
Notice how I just chipped away at him but never gave him a chance to double up? That's something I learned the hard way. Once you get someone down, use your stack to keep pressure on them at all times but never call an all in unless you've got a monster. Loose calls can let them right back into the game.
