I'll have to give the 1 Mil guaranteed a shot a couple of times since it looks like a practice B&M tourney probably aint happenin for me (if a bunch of people get into the guaranteed for $20, I figure that should simulate the dead money players like me who get into the WSOP cheaply ). They have a local B&M NL tourney each weekend at the two casinos near me but they're only $50 or so to buy in, capped at 250 players, and would be full of chain smoking cubans.

i would say that it is a good mix of pros, good players, and idiots. also after the first hour or 2 of those sats it takes acyual poker skill to make top 20

i would say that it is a good mix of pros, good players, and idiots. also after the first hour or 2 of those sats it takes acyual poker skill to make top 20

Stars has a lower percentage of good players, but a higher total number of them; and you also have to wade through a huge number of players.
I think Stars is the best prep for the WSOP both because of the massive fields and the mixture of pros, solid amateurs, and total donkeys.

Forum: Bonus Whores | i don't think there is that big of a difference ecxept that the tournaments on Stars have so many f-ing people in them. i guess party has some pretty big ones too, but the best thing about Stars is that u get the 100% rebate on your buy-in if u have a pending bonus and i have 4 of them now.
i have recently started playing on Bodog b/c they have the same sort of rebate and have been playing some tournaments there just to play in some with less than 500 people.
if you want to play tournaments, to me, there's no reason to pay any tournament fees whatsover b/c of how Stars and Bodog refund them to you

Forum: Bonus Whores | I assume as the buy in amount goes up the skill level of the participants goes up too (to some extent at least) but I was wondering if Stars had the toughest tourneys on average, some other site, or if there really isn't much of a difference across tourneys with the same buy in amounts.
