The problem with their calculation is that they took 8,000 players for the final though only 1,000 qualified so far.
If they say that a weekly freeroll has 1/32 chance to get into the final and a monthly 1/8 chance, they have to take the 1,000 already qualified players + 1/32 * # unused weeklys + 1/8 * # unused monthlys, which will be a much smaller number than 8,000 (more like 2,000-3,000).
If they want to use the 8,000 number (which is how many players would have played if the Monster continued), they cant take what is now in the jackpot for their calculation but should have estimated what would have been in the jackpot at the end of the promotion.
But at least we got something from party and they didnt take it all... | | Static Link |

Weekly's = $100 and change
Monthly's = $350 and change
Final = $1800 and change
I only got one monthly out of it, but I guess they did it pretty fairly. Just wish I'd have had another shot at the final. | | Static Link |

All the information regarding these issues that is known is there. They still don't have a structure for breaking down the freerolls, but they are planning on discontinuing the Monster. They are definitely going to cash out the tickets, but the compensation is still unknown.
And I get that same popup about using your freeroll tickets sooner rather than later, since there will be less people, blah blah blah. I'm American, so I don't think they are doing those promos popups on a regional basis. | | Static Link |

i'm not expecting 13K but if they do cancel the final they should payout the prize pool to all the players that earned an entry.Even if they keep the 5mil party seed money that still leaves 9 mil kicked in by the players.If they do run the mega toury without the U.S. they should pay out whatever a seat is worth at the time. | | Static Link |

Forum: Bonus Whores | When i logged into my account (i am european) i got a message that it would be a good idea to use my monster entries now since there would be fewer players than towards the end of the promotion.
So i cant imagine they will completely cancel the Monster. When they compensate the US players for their already won entries i wouldnt expect too much, i think they cant take it out of the current prizepoole and screw the non-US. The weeklys should be not a big deal, because you paid for them, so they should give back the $50. But with the monthly and final i have no idea (but certainly not $13k for the final). | | Static Link |

I got to wondering about my Party Monster entries. I had spent several hundred pursuing them and have a weekly and a monthly in the bank ready for play. I also qualified for the big one in May (along with winning $400 for 825th place in the first monthly)
So I wrote Party a letter asking what they intend to do with these very valuable seats. The final 20 million with 8000 players has a huge value and the monthly million is a good value too. I figured they would just say "screw you... tough.. you lose them" But I will give Party credit. I got this reply:
