And the reason I figured that was a good bet was because by that point patient was getting pushy with hands, and you were playing tight...so it was likely that he was going to have several chances to go bust before you got decisively involved in a hand.
But mostly I offered the bet for two reasons: 1. Anything is better if you bet on it, and 2. I have a healthy disregard for the value of money.
