It is based on "theoretical rake" as they call it, which basically is the percentage of the rake which you personally contributed to the pot, which is calculated as the amount of money you personally contribute to the pot divided by the total pot size times the rake that they collected. They give you back 1/2 of that amount.
After having played about 2000 hands there, many short handed, I had cleared $50. If I knew the percentage of the hands played that were raked, you could get a relative comparison to other sites, but suffice it to say that it is obviously much harder than playing 5 times the number of raked to clear. The money does clear in $10 increments, so you can always try it out and quit if it doesn't meet expectations. | | Static Link |

A word of caution. Poker World uses props, and their prop program was stolen by "Anaconda." A couple friends of mine wrote the prop program for use at another site where Anaconda propped, and he stole it, word for word, and is using it as his own. I have notified Poker World management of this, and they don't seem to care. I personally will not deposit into a site that condones theft on any level. If they're willing to allow this, what other shady practices do they allow? | | Static Link |
