I am the one that benefits from this!
And I didn?t know that there was Spam on this site before "Jek" from 2+2 told me!

I am an affiliate for Party/Empire and I never Spam. I only PM people on 2+2 that are asking for an affiliate deals. I never post any Spam! I hate it!
I have signed up Mark for an affiliate deal. That?s is. I don't pay him to "promote" me or anything..

And I don't think Mark thought it was Spam because it didn?t benefit him. But of course it is Spam! And I?m sorry.

I hope we have sorted this out now!

I deleted the part of the post that was advertisement, and left everything else up there, including the answer to the question.

This is good. You may also like to note that you have not been dealt with any stricter than anyone else. In fact, the other spammers had their collective works deleted and were banned. So, I do think there is potential from quality posts from you. And now we know where we stand on this issue. Game on.

Jek:

Well it's your site, so your definition of spam is the one that applies. For instance, if someone were to post requesting information and received PM's back, that would not qualify as spam.

However, IMO information was requested about what kind of affiliate deals are out there.

Also, can anyone give a rundown of the "rough value" of an affiliate bonus at the various poker sites? This would be helpful in negotiating how much of a bonus I should be able to get.

I thought I was answering a question that was posted. Perhaps I went to far in telling where I got the deal, but then you go on to tell people the best way to find a deal? I know how difficult it is to run a site like this. Nobody wants good information buried under a bunch of advertisements, so I don't begrudge you your interpretation.

Best

Once again, I'm going to mention here that rake rebates at Party/Empire are illegal. Tracking at other sites can also be difficult. It is this comination of factors which make legit rebates from honest affiliates hard to come by.

If this is something you want to pursue, go to 2+2's internet gambling forum, and making a post saying "I'm looking for an affiliate for Site X, please PM me with your best offer." Then you can look through all the spam and find the best deal.

As for the post in this thread. I am not going to allow promotion of this stuff on these boards. If you want info, you can ask about it. But people trying to get free advertising by stealing other people's time is what gives affiliates a bad name. I have no tolerance for this crap.

It depends on how the affiliate is paid. Some are paid based on the signup and others are paid based on a percent of rake contributed by the player.

For instance, Party and Empire will pay $65 for a signup OR 20-25% of players rakes. *section deleted by Admin because it was spam*

This topic came up in a different thread, but I think it deserves special attention.

It is well known that affiliates--(web sites that refer you to an online poker room) get pretty good bonus money when you sign up to play for real money through said affiliate. Some of these affiliates can get $200 and up for referring a single poker player.

So, since "we" as poker players are making these affiliates money, it was stated that we should bargain with the various "affiliates" to get as much of the "affiliate bonus" as we can. Sounds like another lucrative "bonus whore" tactic.

I have already tried this tactic and been successful, which leads me to think that I can ask for much more of the "affiliate bonus" than I did. I basically asked for 1/3 of the affiliate bonus, and got an agreement immediately. Now, I think I should try for more like 1/2. How much success have you guys had in trying this approach to maxxing out your bonus?

Also, can anyone give a rundown ...
