I suspect though that they aren't catering to the professional online poker grinders and could care less. They seem to get more of a recreational type of player. At the low limits I've been playing to get contributed raked hands it doesn't really matter. However, the one time I played their $25 NL ring table for a bit, I noticed the players were very weak for the short time I was there. I may have to go back and give it a hard look. I just hate risking a penny to make 50 bucks. I"d prefer everything I do is risk free.
The qualifying type of free rolls seem to be almost a better way to make money than clearing bonuses now for me. So I've been playing them wherever I can find them. We need to get a thread going to list all the sites that offer decent qualifying types of free rolls, like point buy ins or raked... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: Guacamole at June 8, 2005, 1:13 am | | Topic: Poker.com 30% to $200 Forum: Bonus Whores | The free cashouts to Neteller take up to 48 hours but not more. I received my first one in less than 48 hours, can't remember exactly how much under.
I put in for my second one about 24 hours ago and expect it sometime tonight. I'll let you know.
They also give you the option for an instant cashout to Neteller for a 3% fee.
The free rolls there are starting to get more and more popular and are offering less and less of a value. But still not bad. 200 players now in the daily 3k, where as two weeks ago there were only just over 50. I'm sure there will be 500 players in them before the month is over at this rate, but who knows. The 500 buck free rolls are at such lousy times for most on EST that I don't think they will fill up as much as they should. 4AM and 1PM EST. | | Static Link |

Agreed.. that's why I said I'd rather play at a Party skin without a bonus...
Sites with soft games are good
Sites with a lot of soft games are better (Party)
Sites with a lot of soft games and bonus money are even better (Bodog)
Wow, you are totally missing the boat and I definately don't agree with you.
You just don't clearly understand all that this site offers players in promotional value. I'd say for me, I've never received so much value for so little play.
But to each his own. Some people are Party blinded in the beginning. But us old Primal Whores sniff out what really are the best values, and then we whore the hell out of it for as long as they are offered.
I'll just say, so far in less than two weeks, I have taken out of this site in promotional value 50 times what I'v... | | Read Entire Entry |

| Posted by: ed209 at June 7, 2005, 3:05 pm | | Topic: Poker.com 30% to $200 Forum: Bonus Whores | there doesn't seem to be a way to check your progress on the bonus, and there is no online live support or telephone either. 10x raked contributed is obviously no reason to sign up.
however, the players on there are Pacific-soft and it would be a cinch to make money there in the long run just from the actual games, if you can stand the slow software and playing 4 tables all in the same window (a la iPoker skins). and unlike some better-known upstart poker sites, this one actually has some decent player traffic so far (I believe thanks to some strategic late night TV advertising...or just the simple fact that they have the poker.com domain name).
I messed around there with $200 last month and cashed out a small profit not bothering to check up on the bonus. it's worth at least a trial run if you don't have any other bonuses running (doubtful I know).

Of course, there is always another bonus... Absolute and Bodog always seem to be there to help this whore in dire times... | | Static Link |
| Posted by: WLU_CA at June 7, 2005, 2:36 pm | | Topic: Poker.com 30% to $200 Forum: Bonus Whores | a) The title is a little misleading, it's 30% to a max of $60.
b) I believe it is 10x contributed hands, in which case I'd rather chew my own arm off.
Quote: Each hand that you are involved in (by contributing money to the pot) are hands that you have played. A raked hand is a game in which the house takes a small percentage of the pot. You can see the rake amount on the left hand side of the community cards when playing, if there is no figure present, it means the hand was not raked and is ineligible towards your hand count for freeroll entry.
If you contribute money to a pot and that game is raked, the hand is eligible as part of your play requirements. For a list of house rake amounts, please see the rake chart.
