What scares me switching to small sites, which plan to stay in the US market, is that these sites have many propposition players.
Sites like poker4ever, gamesgrid(naked poker), poker.com(is hiring right now) and there are many more.
Propposition players are usually very experienced players.
For sites that emerge from this that currently have a lot of props, they will also absorb players from other sites. Also, props are probably not as good as you would think. Some of the current small sites that have a lot of props are amoung the loosest sites on the net. | | Static Link |

Also, anybody heard anything from pokerroom? That is the last site that i still have funds at after witdrawing from the other sites. Have about 800 points left to collect my last bonus. Would hate to get shut down before i can get that last bonus. Going to try and finish it this week. Then all my funds will be withdrawn from all accounts and will wait to see how this all pans out.

So my next question is: What sites aren't publicly traded? I know Poker Stars isn't. I think Bodog, WSEX, Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt aren't. Just read Pokerroom(Hollywood) is. Dont know how many Primas are.
Next task for someone: A list of non-publicly traded stocks involving Online Poker.
I think it's actually more relevant to name the ones that are publically traded, since most aren't.
Here's the list of sites AFAIK:
Party Gaming
888 (Pacific Poker)
Sporting Bet (Paradise Poker)
BWin (Ongame)
Cryptologic
Add Empire Online, Mother of Noble poker and I think the own also CD

Was just looking around for info on the gambling ban. Found this site and they had some quotes back from some of the bigger sites with how they are dealing with the ban. it doesnt really clarify anything, still leaves alot up in the air, but just thought it was interesting to see what each sit said.

Forum: Bonus Whores | Nearly every site that has shut out US players so far is a publically traded company. The US government's position is quite clear - if you accept wagers from US residents anywhere in the world, you are in violation of US laws and they intend to charge you criminally. The wildcard is (a) if no executives have, or ever plan on, coming to the US, it basically is a "non issue", and (b) most publically traded companies can't operate a business for their sharedholders based on a strategy that is in clear violation of a law. Too much uncertainity.
Hence, Crypto basically said "see you" when they realized that their executives/managers/board members, etc. would all be criminally liable in the US if they took wagers from the US. There is also the possibility of extradition as well - although a good possibility most EU governments would say "uh...no" to an extradition request because of this law, it is still not a chance most normal sane people would be willing to take.

The Bill says that it will be illegal to transfer money to and from Poker sites or sites like Neteller using wire transfers or credit cards.
Here is my question: What does this have to do with banning U.S. players??
Let's take the Crypto's for example. Why cant I deposit using Neteller(funds that are already there), play, withdraw my profits back to Neteller and have Neteller cut me a check instead of wiring the fund to my Bank Account?? Or have the Poker site cut me a check itself.
Why whould Crypto give a shit about how I got the money there? What trouble would they be in that they wouldn't have been in from day one they started, since online gambling in the U.S. was illegal in the first place. What is U.S. going to do? Just cant have F.B.I. people go over to the U.K. and start arresting people.
Why cant we all just have Neteller or the Poker site cut us a check and get around this stupid ban!!!!!! The only chall... | | Read Entire Entry |
