I have been whoring for 3 months and played .5/1 to clear these bonuses. It became impossible on Empire since the split. I moved to 1/2 and it is raking at a 70% rate. I can clearly see the players are better and I got killed during the 1st half of the bonus by playing to loose. I tightened up and played much smarter (not calling raises on draws, not calling raises in the BB, even folding top pair at times when it looks like it's getting scary) the second half and broke even. So I got my free $100. I also feel like my game is improving and moving to 1/2 is a step in the right direction.

I know it will sound like I'm being a smartass but I'm not when I say, everyone here probably ISN'T likely looking to get better. Most are here to find bonuses because they are poor or mediocre players, which the majority of us are, and bonuses provide their income. While I am always looking to get better and hate clearing any bonus with less than the full amount, I imagine many folks here play ABC poker on as many tables as they can to clear the bonus as quick as they can to move on to the next bonus. Personally however, I appreciate the advice and hope you continue to give it.

I would think that this advice would be obvious (it was to me) but the fact that someone took you to task for this is proof that not all whores are necessarily decent players.
As for the tightening of the skins, I have been playing nearly every day since the split and I have found that about 60% of the players there are now the weak-tight variety. In fact, I have in the past and shared stories to illustrate some flaws in my game at the time. I have them just like everyone else. I'm simply pointing out (which you seemed to miss somehow) that if you are going to clear a bonus at a site with tight tables (and guess what, if you want to clear alot of bonuses...this will happen often), then you have to adjust to the table play. If people are folding to alot of raises preflop and postflop, then YOU be the one raising all the time. Obviously don't play reckless, but cmon, use common sense. Bet the flop when you get any piece of it, raise with draws, raise first in ALL the time, reraise a first in raise with ANY decent styarting hand. These are just some examples.
