(contributed hands) Forum: Bonus Whores | | Question: If I want to ignore the signup bonus, and just play the reloads, can I just do that? Or do I have to do something strange like I read in another thread, like set up a casino account first in order to disqualify myself for the signup bonus? | | Static Link |

In a word? Non-existent. It's the only reason I play Pot Limit - I'd jump on a limit game in a heartbeat. I have only seen a $1/$2 limit stud game running twice in the last 6 months, if that gives you any idea.
Pot Limit isn't bad, but unless you do a full buyin ($200), you will be up against opponents who just don't seem to care about short buyins ($60 and lower), and will call you with pretty trashy hands. The swings are brutal. I've had guys call my $25 all-in bets (into a pot of $50) when they *knew* I had a flush, and they were sitting on a two-pair with two of the cards already dead.... on 6th street. (They told me as much in chat.) It can be profitable, obviously, if you can dodge the variance bullet. (I haven't yet, but I'm still waiting! *grin*)
So, fair warning. | | Static Link |

Wouldn't recommend it unless you're comfortable with the swings, though.
Takes about 3-4 hours of $1/$2 LHE to clear each week... 3 if the tables are loose, 4 if they are tight.

How long has everyone been doing this weekly reload?
Is it at min. $1/$2 like the deposit bonus?
I usually play .25/.50 - .50/1NL but was thinking about doing this promo to improve my pathetic limit skills. | | Static Link |
