It's good to see Kahnawake and eCOGRA are in such ethical synchronisation regarding player protection - it warms my heart.
Funnily enough though, Kahnawake do not actually respond to emails. This is a long-established fact, which myself and others can attest to, and rather odd when we note now that Kahnawake are actually keen player advocates, as evinced by the ad copy on this latest corporate love-in with eCOGRA.
How can this be? Why do Kahnawake ignore those they seek so keenly to protect?
I suppose that since Kahnawake are now so busy facilitating this player pathway towards Online Gambling Utopia with eCOGRA, they just can't find the time.
But this is a good thing. Though Kahnawake do not speak to us, we can sleep peacefully in the knowledge that they are speaking to our democratically elected superiors - they who brandish that formidable weapon that all unscrupulous casinos fear and outstanding casinos covet: the "Players' Seal Of Approval".

I would love to get involved with the industry again and promote it as a ehicle for internet entertainment as well as for serious gambling.
But I am not getting involved until they get this randomness issue sorted.
The boards webbies and ecogra can take care of the other issues.

Ecogra were also going to sign up as many top accounting firms as possible.
I guess that idea got dropped when someone asked for a good look at the backend of the tgtr
They want to get this tgtr thing patented and open the doors on it if the really want to be the gold standard logo the players trust.
What good is it to anyone else anyway? Who would want to nick an inhouse gambling data erification system that has been put in the public domain to unpolarise the "random" question.? .. Eek is bang on the money.
I am afraid a few casino managers being sent on a course to clue them up as to who is a problem gambler is superficial. 888 have been turning punters away for years already for overspending.
The longer this goes on, the crazier it gets.

The one and only attempt at proving randomness to the playing public Jet, and avoided by every major software provider in the entire industry I may add.
There's no shortage of these Ecogra clones though is there
There's been a non-stop production line of Ecogra type organisations for the last 5 to 10 years.
You industry guys are all falling over each other to create these trade associations and spit them out like little piglets.

Just another trade association....a promotional ehicle.
We didn't see them flocking around Truegambler like this did we
The Trade had its chance to go mainstream and blew it bigtime.
The multi-billion dollar opportunity of mainstream internet casinos that are random is still out there, waiting for whoever has a big enough nutsack.

Ecogra is not good for gambling "in general".
Ecogra was born out of funds from Cassava and Micro. The wages are paid by these firms on an ongoing basis from what I can tell?
888 put some money into a "let's respect the player" exercise. 888 get some of that money from Scumware. Same for many micro sealed firms. Same for ongame.
A disgrace and a full pint of phlegm in the face of whoever gives a flying Fig.

This is a good thing!!!
The more self regulation I see, the more I like it.
Hopefully more Kahnawake licencees will join eCOGRA and the organization can get stronger and stronger.
Lots of posters have pointed out that eCOGRA is not perfect, but no one can say that it is not good for gambling in general.
The more we support eCOGRA, the harder some of the not-so-wonderful casinos will be pressed to clean up their act.

"There will be more cooperation between the two bodies on player disputes to ensure that these are heard fairly, independently and within a reasonable timeframe."
As a mediator who has had his share of frustration dealing with Kahnawake in the bad old days (they have improved in more recent times) I will take this as a positive influence, given the excellent record to date in dispute resolutions of both Beveridge and the Fair Gaming Advocate, Tex Rees.
"The agreement will apply to a wide range of online gambling casinos and poker rooms, comprising a significant proportion of the available industry business. Kahnawáke numbers approximately 300 online gambling sites as licensees, and there are 56 major Internet enues carrying the eCOGRA "Play It Safe" seal."
Interesting numbers - there are more Kahnawake licensed operations than I thought. What I am trying to figure out here is how this mutual respect for each others' standards is going to wor... | | Read Entire Entry |

The big money bandwagon rolls on.
Atleast Ecogra answer emails, even if they give different answers to the same question from different punters.
Kahnawake are just completely ignorant of the player.
The tgtr was implemented before ecogra, but it was'nt enough to prove anything to the player. Nothing has changed. Without the tgtr, Ecoga is defunct.
& The FGA Tex Rees is simply an ex saleswoman for Beveridges baby, Livebet. Information funnily enough removed from the search engines.
A job for the boys project that have done nothing new of note for the player whatsoever in their whole existance.
I still await anything of substance from this jumped up pr exercise. Will carry on kicking against the pricks until they do.

PLAYER PROTECTION THE GOAL AS MAJOR REGULATING JURISDICTION AND PLAYER ASSURANCE ORGANISATION AGREE TO WORK TOGETHER
Kahnawáke recognizes eCOGRA principles of fair gaming
The industry’s most prominent licencing jurisdiction, the Kahnawáke Gaming Commission and the industry’s independent player assurance organisation eCOGRA have agreed to work together to ensure that player protection measures such as fair gaming and disputes resolution are consistently applied across companies operating under their rules.
The announcement was made at the European Interactive Gaming conference in Nice, France this week.
Subject to certain conditions, the Commission agrees that operators using software supplied by eCOGRA members, and that is subject to eCOGRA’s Generally Accepted Practices (eGAPs) and testing methodologies, will not be required to submit to review and monitoring processes that the Commission employs for other applicants and operators.
