The BS chart you have posted is accurate for single deck, hit soft 17, double after splitting, double on anything and with the dealer peeking. I know of only one casino which has those rules and it's land based. My suggestion would be to select a BS chart for the casino you most recommend or the software you think your iewers will most likely play. A link to the Wizard's site couldn't hurt. Whatever you end up doing, you should post the rules for which the BS chart applies. BS charts are also available at bjmath.com although my personal favorites are at Ken's Smith Basic Strategy Engine (blackjackinfo.com). I find it quite weird your chart has some composition dependant plays(5,3 & 6,2) but not all of them. CD BS is useless for your isitors.

To begin with, in reference to the books, I think that it has already been covered, so I won't waste my time repeating things that have already been stated in a previous post. I can see how it was confusing to you by clicking in from the blackjack section. In fact, if you still click in from those links you will be taken to the same pages (which I have already explained were skeletal remnants of previous pages). I will try to get those links updated tomorrow.
In reference to the BJ Strategy, I have posted a new strategy chart to replace the old one. If you (or anyone else) have any suggestions for amendments or additional comments to be added to it, I would be more than happy to hear them.
Also, I look forward to seeing your post in the Playing Strategies section. I am intrigued to see what you consider to be aluable sources of information in reference to blackjack related material.

I'll reply to this one first since it is the shorter post and the quickest to reply to. To begin with, my post was not meant as an endorsement to either Patterson or his book. I merely stated that I had been reading the book, that it was interesting, and summarized the contents of what I had read so far. What I was hoping was that someone with more knowledge about it could provide some additional insight, and it appears that you have.
I think that what you said about JP was ery interesting. I have no idea how true it is, but I don't see why you would have any reason to make it up, so I will take you at your word on it. To be perfectly fair, JP did provide me with both his book and his Target 21 system for free (so I can't really say that he has ripped me off for anything). All I have to say about the book has already been said, and can't really comment further until I have finished it.
In reference to the target 21 system, I do tend to believe you on that. I have not read a word of it ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Oh my god, Jerry now endorses Patterson. Ok Jerry, you seem like a nice guy so I'll tell you the Jerry Patterson story. JP was once a respected card counter who ran card counting schools following the opening of AC casinos. As his customer base dried up and most people weren't prepared to go through the hard work that counting entails, he started closing schools. In an attempt to make a quick buck, he started trumpeting Olsen's TARGET system, a useless get rich scheme which has absolutely no mathematical foundation and has since been abandoned as worthless by Olsen himself. The thing about Patterson is he's not just an idiot who thinks he found the perfect system, it is believed he knows TARGET is crap but still promotes it in true huckster fashion. One of blackjack's most respected authors, Don Schlesinger, use to run one of his counting schools. The simple mention of his name is enough to get Don's blood boiling.

Another good book I have been reading is "Casino Gambling: A Winner's Guide To Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, and Casino Poker" by Jerry Patternson. I have only had the chance to read about half the book, but so far it looks ery interesting. It is written, as most are, for the beginning player, but because of the nature of the book it could also benefit experienced players.
The subject of the book is how to become, as JP terms it, and Advantage Player, by taking advantage of aspects of the games that could benefit the player better than traditional strategy. The main thing I found interesting is that he says card counting is useless in most multi-deck shoe games, due to card clumping (which can ary depending on the pick up procedures of the casino). Another example would be what he calls a Controlled Throw in Craps to help the probability of some numbers being more dominant than others. I can not say one way or another how accurate the things discussed in the book are, but alot... | | Read Entire Entry |

Since we were talking about gambling books...
For an excellent, well-organized selection of the best gambling books (at ery good prices), I highly recommend Conjelco.
Chuck sells every good book on gambling I have read (that's still in print), and none of the awful ones I see clogging bookstore shelves. He has offered good deals and good advice to wired gamblers since the early days of rec.gambling, long before amazon.com became a household name.

In reference to the books section, at the moment it is basicly just a bare skeleton. There use to be many more pages there, and in fact, at one time I had an entire catalog of every gambling related book carried by B&N. I had removed the ast majority of the files because I am building a new structure for the books section, but because of more important projects that came up, had to put that on the back burner (so to speak). As I have said countless times before, my site is only ran as a hobby, and I therefore do not have the resources to get everything done overnight.
In reference to your comments about the tips and strategies section, I will wait before I comment entirely. The reason being that it has been a while since I have read those documents, and it is a little late too now, so I will read them tomorrow and then comment appropriately.
For now I will just say that I am only one person. I have never professed to be an expert in any form of gambling, much less all forms. In add... | | Read Entire Entry |

P.S. Here's a little tip, since you didn't figure it out on your own. Don't close the window. If you do that it'll just come up again when you go to a different page. Minimize it instead, and then you only have to deal with it once. If that's too much to deal with then simply don't return until I have gotten around to changing hosts.

Wow. Just went through the site despite the above mentioned annoyances. Have you ever in your life played a single hand of blackjack? I can't believe the crap you have on your site.
Your "Books and Publications" section is filled with hucksters and "system" sellers. I don't see a single book there which I could recommend.
Your "Tips and Strategies" section is straight out of a horror novel, with so many mistakes I can't believe they could all be unintentional. Double a 7 against 3-6??? Are you on drugs or something?
Methinks all casinos around the world love Jerry, both for his play and the advice he gives on his site.
Is this a case of not biting the hand that feeds him or simply ignorance, I'll let you guys debate.
Very disapointed and disilusioned by this little isit to the casinow.net site.

Another group in which I am a member has contacts at the Hard Rock in Vegas - I have names there, and they will usually comp the first night (for that group) and host a welcome ****tail party, and then a brunch the next day. Of course, that group has proven play in the past, and I'm certain that makes a huge difference. I would imagine that one could call a host at any casino (I could ask around) and inquire...
