Dave, I called them back after another hour and have webcast it all together this will make interesting listening, to summise, I bought in for $500 it was pending I called after an hour and spoke to a man who said he would email me real soon I called again after another half hour (via Hitmob recording studio hehe ) the first man I spoke to had gone home I explained who I was and what was up he said dur the emails keep bouncing back dur on your first deposit we have to call your bank (it was 11 pm ish over here0 he said he couldnt find the number for my bank and isa international arent 24/7 (bollocks) basically I let him talk I then said do Stanley own you he said yes I then said should I call into my local land based stanley casino and try to spaek to someone who knows what they are talking about he sounded well stupid but he then blamed Malta and their new office

LVHM, Please update me with the final result.
You would think after this company spent 12.8 million dollars for these casinos, the least they could do is offer good service.
I think what happened to you was disgraceful, and if they don't get thier act together soon, noone will ever go there.
I have researched Stanley Leisure PLC, and from everything I've read, they are a reputable company.
Thier baccarat game is the only one around that pays 9:1 on ties instead of the usual 8:1. Also, the cards in the blackjack game are not shuffled every hand, SO you can count down 1/3 of 6 decks before the shuffle.
At one time, I was a regular cust at this casino. Two others that I know have recently been extemely successful there. This is one reason I was about to come back.

Dave R I have just signed up at Acropolis casino in my quest to find the perfect casino (hehe) unfortunatly my deposit has been pending for half an hour now I then rang the customer support line listed on their web page (why I did this I dont know as 0171 numbers have been replaced in the UK recently I evetually got a Malta number and phone what I can only describe as a farm yard (I say this due to the sound of a ****eral squaling intermittently in the back ground) The person who answered the phone was bordering on obnocsious git territory and he insists he will now email me when my deposit goes through GOD

I wasn't expecting much from Dr. Ho, as his site would seem to be similar in many ways to the old First Live - with real live dealers. Notwithstanding the bandwidth this would require, there might have been other problems - such as lack of a license from HGN, perhaps... or dispute as to how much in licensing or management fees Dr. Ho would have to pay... who knows.
He has indeed lost his monopoly - but he has no real good reason to continue on the Internet, with what would apparently be minute compared to what his brick-and-mortar casinos took.

No problem, Jetset. The downloadable software for www.acropoliscasinos.com is completely unique (proprietary) to the internet. It is one of my all time favorite software packages.
Now that it's owned by widely known company, which is regarded as being reputable, I will start playing there again. I have recently downloaded thier software, and as far as I can tell the games are fair, with the single exception of the blackjack game. I believe there is something ery wrong with it. My results were similar to that of Planet Luck/Zantana. Perhaps its just bad luck. But it could be a programming error in the shuffling of the cards. One things for sure, is that if you play BJ there, do it in practice mode first, and TRACK YOUR PLAY. Having said that, I would love to know the experiences of others at this casino. If anyone has any unusual streaks of bad luck, please post it here.

Thanks for posting that Dave - ery interesting to see yet another land-based casino operation looking to the internet for future action. There are increasing numbers of terrestrial casinos following this strategy and it makes for an interesting and competitive industry. Stressful, too!
BTW anyone heard anything more on Dr Ho's move into internet casino operation? There was a big publicity splurge about it a few months back but I've seen nothing since then. Crockfords casino to operate online from Malta

The Liverpool based Stanley Leisure gaming group, which owns the well known Crockfords casino, is in talks with Maltese financial authorities to acquire a licence to operate online out of Malta, The Sunday Times (of London) has reported.
The operation out of Malta would mean that the company would bypass the British gaming duty tax. The Maltese government will only be charging a 0.5 per cent tax on each individual online bet.
Last week The Malta Business Weekly reported that Malta's betting regulatory authorities were processing a large number of applications from major international betting companies to set up international trading companies in Malta and offer their services online to non-Maltese residents.

Stanley Leisure Organisation bought 2 on-line offshore Internet casino for $12.8 million. Acropoliscasinos.com and Avaloncasinos.com are expected to spearhead an e-commerce gaming and betting strategy which will take their Crockfords casino in England to the Internet. Crockfords will be the first Internet casino in the U.K. The 2 sites purchased will only have a high limit of $1,000 but that is expected to change when Crockfords opens on the Internet in about 3 months.
