I truly believe that the major software companies (MG,RTG,UG,GSS,CR,BM) DO have random games. I have had really bad runs at some of these sites, but I have also had really good ones. The rules make a difference, I generally don't like the rules at Microgaming casinos , so I don't play them as much. For a while I had bad luck on several Realtime Gaming sites that had me wondering. Now they are my favorite ones due to their speed and nice graphics and fast payments.
I definetly believe that there are unfair (nonrandom) games to be found (playboys, starluck), but I feel ery safe with the major software companies. As long as GSS sites pay, they seem to have a problem there right now.

Dirk, while I'm sure it happens from time to time, I dont think the software places are "intentionally" dealing a non-random blackjack game. They really dont need to. I think what these ridiculously bad runs can be attributed to is more of "bad random number generator" software. Having dealt a lot with random number "seeds", I've seen some runs of 1000's of numbers that are in no way random. After all, its not truly "random" if a computer is using something to generate the number (usually a seed based on a time-stamp or whatnot).
About a year ago at planetpoker someone was able to crack the "seed" and could tell exactly what cards were coming out next. They've sinced tried to make the seeds more "intelligent" by making them 32bit rather than the standard 16bit. I'm guessing these software places still have the 16 bit. Then again, I could be totally way off base.
Its just that in no way could you ever expect some of the runs in... | | Read Entire Entry |

On Microgaming sites, I've switched from blackjack to baccarat. Blackjack isn't a 50/50 game in terms of hands won--you should expect to lose more hands than you win; that should be offset somewhat in the long-term with good splits and double-downs.
My best runs in blackjack online historically have been on Unified Gaming sites, from before they changed their rules set on many sites.

I've played at both Golden Riviera and Fairplay. My results have been mediocre.
I really am starting to doubt that these major software suppliers are dealing a truly random blackjack game. Starnet, Microgaming & GSS all seem to have fixed odds on their card games as opposed to offering an unbiased and randomly shuffled game.
As I've said before, if a bonus wasn't offered, I would never play at an online casino. I simply don't trust any of them to be truly fair.

Sirius, I was able to win slightly (a little over $100) at both casinos playing blackjack the first time around. After that I got totally KILLED at both of these at blackjack. Could just be bad karma. Or I could just be one of those crappy blackjack players like Rainmaker said.

I managed to win something at last although it was with ery few blackjack hands. I'd just got the 15% + $25 new player bonus at Fairplay casino and just managed to cash in what I deposited after wagering enough. I had $2 left so I put a few 50 cents in the double magic slots. I got to $6.50 after a minute or so. Then I went to the blackjack table. In a couple of minutes I'd made $100 and cashed in.

They had technical problems that Friday. My main problem with these casinos is that I can't win at blackjack. It's probably just my bad luck, but if I bother to add up the number of hands and the loss rate I'm sure it's ery unlikely to happen. They are both Microgaming and have the same support phone number.
So has anyone had any luck with the blackjack at these casinos recently?

Both smooth downloads/installations. Golden Riviera haven't deposited the promised $20 in several days. Fairplay wrongly named: they won every hand in BJ (I never got one good hand on first cards) and even when I drew several cards to get 2l, they got blackjack. So both really a waste of time for me anyway - so you may not be missing much!
