Dear Wonderwall,
I apologize for the typo, you are correct in stating that the erbal agreement was for the end of February. As you have posted elsewhere in the forum, this case also has me sick in the stomach. I had posted the reply about the erbal agreement yesterday morning from my home early in the morning before getting to work! (With my bedsheets still clinging, eyes half shut ...)
I will continue keep you posted about the status of your withdrawal.
At your service,
Amanda Vanderbilt

Well, Dave, I am sorry, but you did not listen in on the conversation that I had with Wonderwall. I had informed him that an audit is taking place and we had arrived to a VERBAL AGREEMENT that he would not place complaints against us if he were to be paid by the end of March. I have upheld my end of the contract by doing everthing possible to have his funds sent to him A.S.A.P.
Amanda, I appreciate any help by management at Ascot to see my funds returned to me.
We do indeed have a erbal agreement as you mentioned, but this is for funds being returned by the end of FEBRUARY, not March. Just wanted to clarify that.

Dear sliebe1,

Here you are referring to Prosperity9035. The only reason that I had posted any information at all is due to the fact that she has posted the outright false statement of, "Ascot Casino took all my money locked my account killed my dog." This individual played with us last year, cashed in her winnings and received her monies in full. Furthermore, we have never "locked her account". I imagined that she must have us confused with another casino. If she had lost her account number, all she has to do is contact me and I will send it to her. I added information to the post in order to back my statements and in order to refresh her memory.

My opinions on Ascot:
Customer service is good. Robin Hemingway is excellent.
Promotions are good although quite often they are not clear. I would email asking some questions about a specific promo and the reply just wouldn't answer the questions that I was actually asking.
Payouts are slow. Two to 4 weeks to get credit back to a card. Original deposit should never take that long.

A couple of weeks ago Julie at Gambling Grumbles told me she was awaiting your response to her last proposed solution (I have no idea what the proposed solution was) and would get back to me as soon as she heard from you. Well I am assuming now that you haven't responded to her because I haven't heard anything back. I don't know if you are aware, but I still a few months to issue a chargeback. It is six months in the UK (I think it's something like 60 days in US). Today my card issuer wrote in an email after I told them that I am giving it another month to try and sort out: "If your own attempts to resolve this situation are unsuccessful and you
decide that you would like our Chargebacks team to investigate, please
let me know and I will be happy to send a form out".
I probably brought you hundreds of customers from my first post about you at Casinomeister and I have also referred quite a few.

Wow, it is war....
Let me add that I received my winnings promptly on my credit card. Furthermore, if you do not understand promos, you should not play.
A friend of mine will cash in shortly, so I await his email when he gets the money (some extra info, on average he and I beat the house, so (given a ery small sample), it seemed fair enough).
But has anybody the final answer:
CAN WE STILL PLAY CONFIDENTLY AT ASCOT??

Let's be perfectly clear about this. I was asked to remove specifics of a player's financial transactions, as in amounts played, etc. That's all that was edited.

Dear Dave R,
In the past, I have tried to stay away from answering posts due to the fact that in the end, this is all heresay. You never really know who is telling the truth, exaggerating or outright lying. An example of what I am saying is the time of McCarthyism during the cold war, if a neighbor did not like you, they would cry, "Communist!" and many innocent people (not affiliated with the Communist part) went to jail. During this time, Arthur Miller, wrote the play, "The Crucible, paralleling this with the Salem Witch Trials in which many innocent people were burned at the stake based on hearsay. If someone called you a witch, you had no way of proving that you weren't.
However, I do have faith in the gambling community's sensibility. For this reason, inspite of the circumstances, I have taken our case to the boards.
All I can say to you is that we are doing everything possible and impossible to credit everyone their credit's due. If an added compesation ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Generally speaking, that's true. But that doesn't include the freedom to make excessively crude personal insults, nor the freedom to spam, nor the freedom to iolate someone's privacy by posting personal --as opposed to business-- information.
It general we bend over backwards trying to leave the floor open for our readers to go about their business. And we've taken no small amount of heat for it in the past. I think our efforts have been worthwhile and successful. We hope the readers think so too.

IT IS IMPORTANT that all players know the following statement from Goldplay software, Ascot's software provider, dated yesterday:
"We entirely ceased our business relationship with Ascot last fall and are in
no way involved with their business operationally or financially. We had
many of the same issues with them as raised in the below email. [Gambling Grumble Above]
Unfortunately, we have no ability to cause them to act responsibly towards
their customers and this was one of the issues leading to our cessation of
business dealings with Ascot."
Anyone who doubts this is true, please email:

Sorry, I have to mention this one. I remember playing these slots. They had a promo where you had to wager the $2 a spin for 300 spins to get a $75 bonus. Well I had $300 in my account and after wagering the $600 (300 spins) I had irtually nothing in my account (I almost didn't make 300 spins). So that was a 50% payback!!

That reminds me, when I made the $7k profit a year ago, for some reason you made the mistake of removing about $5k from my card instead of making a credit (although you blamed your processors). This was refunded immediately by the processors on the same day (although it took a few days to hit my account) but they didn't put it through as a reversal so I ended up being out about $270 as it was put through as a refund instead of reversal. As my account isn't in US$ I get charged around 6% of the amount on a full refund in foreign transaction fees. You did say you'd pay this difference back but you never did. Anyway, that's a different issue.
You have a habit of ignoring emails sometimes. The message board I posted in about the suspicious baccarat wasn't exactly popular and it was surprising that after you found out about it my baccarat results for the final 1000 hands or so weren't too bad but that was probably coincidence (I think I just got luckier and I doubt you changed anything). Part A was almost all Blackjack (notice the percentages don't quite add up to close to 100% so something's wrong there). Part B was totally Bacarrat. For some reason they combined these two totally different games in part C !?? Blackjack has double and split opportunities which would increase the return.
BTW I was randomly betting between player and banker in part B (during the Haloween Promotion), so on average the win % should be equal to the loss %.
I only played this promotion after reading in a message board how someone claimed the bacarrat promotion three times. ... | | Read Entire Entry |

I played at Ascot quite a few times amd always did well. I haven't played there in many months because the last few times they took way too long to credit my card with my balance. However I've always gotten paid and customer service was always great. I've spoken with Amanda a few times and she was always ery professional and helpful. She even offered to pay for my costs to fax info from Kinkos, so I do believe they will make good on compensation for interset charges for people waiting for withdrawals.
That said, in the case above, I too would have interpreted the promo to mean $50 for each time it happened. I believe that Ascot should have been more specific with their rules. I would have been upset if I expected $2900 in bonuses and was denied.

I've also won at Ascot but since the beginning of November they didn't give me a bonus and didn't reply to my emails. They are basically doing me out of $3k at the moment but there is a lot more to it. The baccarat I was playing seemed rigged and I played about 6000 hands testing it. I stopped when it was impossible to prove anything either way without thousands more hands (it was less than 1% chance of the loss happening in a fair games in the end but it was a few thousand to one chance after 5000 hands). Gambling Grumbles have been trying to deal with it but I don't think they'll have much success judging by the recent grumble there about Ascot.

I won quite a lot at Ascot and was paid promptly, but that doesn't mean I do not believe the people now who say they're being ripped off. My experience was awhile ago and the recent reports are consistent and even-tempered. It's the attacks on these public-spirited warnings that are dumber than a pail of worms. We've repeatedly seen places that used to pay turn into scum sucking ampires. The industry is so corrupt, why would anyone doubt reasonable sounding complaints?
