Dave R you raise an interesting point there regarding the player safeguard history at Cryptologic, Boss and yes, even Starnet casinos. In fact the only member of the BIG FOUR which seems to continually come under fire for this sort of neglect is Microgaming.

That should indicate to them that they need to do something in the way of a portion of their royalties or a casino levy going into a limited liability insurance premium or some other measure to help players ripped off by MGS licencees.

"For those of you who do not reside in United States should know that here in US, big operators NEVER cheat(whether they are in gambling or any other business.) Cheating is the exclusive territory of lowlives, small timers, and FOREIGNERS(like Microgaming)."

Unless they sell tobacco products. Companies, I might add, that are run by Americans of several generations back, to the Revolution.

No, seriously, I know I'm stating the obvious here, but there's plenty of US operators in all kinds of businesses that attempt to cheat in all kinds of ways. That's why we have Gaming Commissions and police forces and the IRS doing audits...I mean, really.

If a BOSS casino went out of business or couldn't pay players, BOSS would make good to the player. Same thing goes for Cryptologic. I am not the biggest fan of Cryptologic casinos, but you have to admit, they always pay players (and ery quickly, I might add). In fact, Crypto is insured for all player deposits, so players are guaranteed thier funds.

When Starnet had its dispute with Claude Levy, and Levy refused to pay the licensing fees, crying fraud on Starnet's behalf, Starnet did the intelligent thing and made good to the players and paid everyone. I am not taking sides in this dispute, as Levy made some ery alid claims against Starnet.
But the whole point is the players were paid, and this shows credibility on Starnet's behalf.

When Golden Palace seized bonuses (literally stole money right out of players accounts crying bonus abuse) Microgaming DID NOTHING to help players get paid. Many of these players still haven't been paid. Microgaming does deserve credit for terminating th...

Jetset -

Your points are ery alid - particularly with regard to any chance of getting a slice of Vegas pie.

Wilhelm -

Unless you played about a million hands or so, I'd tend to discount your theory. Doesn't mean anything either way - you're not wrong, and I'm not right. But I'd assume that your sample is way too small.

That also raises the question - why do a lot of big players win big at MGS casinos - particularly at blackjack?

Croupier - I agree fully. Particularly as Wilhelm is not a typical Anglo-Saxon name.

I, and I'm sure many others, take great offence to this comment. I'm happy to read any agument you have to give, but this kind of bigotry should not be on this board.

As for your comments about MGS BJ cheating players - why continue to play any of their games if you think they cheat?

Boycotting Microgaming card games might be ery wise as they all seem to be rigged. My first six months of online gambling was basically limited to Microgaming casinos. I WRONGLY assumed that due to their size they would be above cheating and rigging the software. For those of you who do not reside in United States should know that here in US, big operators NEVER cheat(whether they are in gambling or any other business.) Cheating is the exclusive territory of lowlives, small timers, and FOREIGNERS(like Microgaming).
Over the past year and thousands and thousands and thousands of hands of blackjack at MGS casinos, it became apparent that either the dealer was the luckiest player on the planet or the software was rigged. But I chose to stay silent as I thought I would be accused of paranoia if I accuse a large operator like MGS of rigging their software. Not until...

Another thought on Microgaming.

If they have ambitions regarding sales to the big US land-based casinos which could well be coming online in the future, shouldn't Microgaming be looking to portray itself as a responsible and honest company with the players' welfare at heart?

For example, regarding the Nevada regulating bodies how would MGS's past history of allowing licencees to continue to operate when they were not paying their gamblers play? Could they excuse that by simply saying protecting the players wasn't in their licencee contract?

It would be something I would be thinking about in their shoes.

Where have I heard this discussion before, I wonder? Oh yes, Golden Palace.

Microgaming did nothing there and will do nothing here until it hits them in the pocket (ie Tropika failing to pay its royalties - that would be a cause for switching them off in MGS' eyes)

BTW have you seen the latest article on Tropika over at RGT Online? Things are hotting up and unless they find the cash to pay the players soon they will get hammered.

Casinos going under and leaving their players holding the bag is becoming far too common these days. Even public companies like Tropika and Dotcom2000 ( Crown City Casino) have to be watched.

BOYCOTT ALL MICROGAMING POWERED CASINOS.

Microgaming has ignored ALL my emails about the Tropika fiasco. They remain completely unconcerened that 4-5 months have gone by and players STILL haven't been paid.

Microgaming, thus far, has knowingly refused to SHUT DOWN Tropika casinos, knowing full well that more players could get ripped off.

SHAME ON MICROGAMING.

Microgaming won't do a thing. We learnt from the Golden Palace issue that they are just a bunch of lyers who don't give a crap about the players.

All they're interested in is profit, and they don't want to end up having to pay for any of their failed licensees.

"Microgaming has refused to issue any comment on this matter. Apparently, Microgaming is not concerned about whether players using their licensed software are being paid." (From the article by Elizabeth May)

Microgaming have the power and responsibility to either stop Tropika’s casinos from operating and taking more money from people. Or at least they can issue a warning against Tropika’s Casino.
