I must say AmateurSleuth, when I originally posted back at the beginning of March I never imagined the scale of the problem that's subsequently emerged at Tropika. Since I'd finally managed to get my money after months of waiting, I was assuming that they were going to play fair and pay all those they owed. Sadly, I was wrong.
Needless to say, I haven't darkened Tropika's doors since.

Final thoughts, Mr Wolf.

I believe players who were ripped off will never forget these guys. The next step is to get them off the 'net altogether. They are still accepting wagers, and still ripping off unsuspecting players.

Notice the recent post here from a player who is asking how to get her money from Jetset Casino. She has been waiting a few weeks now. What can you tell her. Welcome to the club?

Can't anything be done to stop them? There must be something? If they are based in Canada, can't they be sued for fraus? Legal minds, give me an answer on this. How about a class action suit on behalf of all players damaged by them. Even if no one ever gets paid, at least more people will not be cheated.

Brian, thanks for the help. I have been including a cc to the OPA of each of my emails to Jetset. Steve is aware of the situation and said he would contact them on my behalf. I have not complained to the IGC, but I will do so.

I'll keep this board posted on any progress (or lack thereof), and will start complaining on other boards, too. 4 months is more than a little ridiculous.

Thanks again,
Gnossos

Gnossos I have received your private email and I have, as I indicated in my response to you, acted upon it.

I reiterate that you need also to maintain pressure on Tropika by registering online complaints with OPA and IGC and continuing the email pressure.

Prosperity it is not a question of a thick skin but one of trying to maintain my personal credibility by doing everything in my power to get this sorted out as fast as possible. Once that has been achieved I will be delighted to remove the cause of this embarrassment from my life.

Mr Wolf pressure does work and that is one of the reasons why message boards are so aluable. The end of March deadline for Tropika to meet its outstanding player obligations is now at hand and I suspect that this issue is going to radically heat up for them.

I'd just like to quickly say that I appreciate Jetset's input on this matter. It's understandable that players are upset by Crapika's shady dealings. I started these posts to highlight the problems associated with them because I've suffered at their hands. It seems obviously that I wasn't alone, and many others are out of pocket. However, I feel that Jetset has been on the players' side throughout, and I don't think he deserves the hard time he's received so far. He's suffered because - unlike Trappedika - he's had the guts to speak on this board. Read through the threads and you'll realise he's not the bad guy - let's save our ire for those who deserve it!

I have to say that Jetset, the person who posts here, has always been a reliable and good person from all his/her posts. I definitelyknow he has a tougher skin than most and definitely thicker than mine. I would completely and totaly disassociate meself (sell my share) from a company which has acted the way Jet Set Casino has.

I do not think he stays with the company for the profits at least I hope not. I believe he wants to get people paid. I personally would be embarresed to post here under that name. I am surprised there is not a warning about this casino at the OPA cosidering the nonpayment of SOME players. I trust in Jetset the poster NOT in Jet Set the casino.

I'm the player who Sirius quoted above, who is still owed 7K from Jetset.

I cashed in my Jetset account on Dec 7. On December 15 I received an email from Jetset indicating that $7,036 would be sent by wire.

On Dec 20, I received this email: "Your cash-in has been processed but all our wires and drafts are being reviewed
by management. these will be sent by the end of the week. We apologise for the
delay caused by us and will continue with our excellent service."

Every few weeks since then, I have received repeated assurances that my wire would be sent by "the end of the week". My wire has still not arrived. It is now one week short of 4 months since my cash-in. My most recent email to Jetset went unanswered.

Brian, I hope I am the sole "big winner" that you mentioned above. Please contact me at Gnossos21@hotmail.com. I'd certainly appreciate any help you can offer to speed my payment along.

Gnossos

Sirius, thanks...

Freddy do not include me in Tropika's behaviour. I do not agree or subscribe to the way they are handling this as a member of the gambling public or as a ten percent shareholder in a casino which they manage.

Jetset, Tropika is already guilty of theft. They have owed me this money since December 21 and have not payed for over one fiscal quarter. When do YOU think it becomes theft? When you run out of excuses? Please.

Somebody tried to do you a FAVOR by suggesting the hand in the till excuse. You don't like that excuse?

10 days I can accept. 30 days I can swallow if I have to. 90 days? Theft.

Then I remain out of step with you folks.

I do not in any way condone Tropika's treatment of players, in fact I am on record as condemning it as appalling. But I cannot believe that it can be just or fair to level totally unsubstantiated allegations of criminal conduct such as theft (which AS has done on two threads here) at operational staff when there is no indication that this is the case.

I understand your frustration at the incompetent way the operations people have handled this situation, but I baulk at accusations of theft and fraud within the company and statements like "hands in the till"

I therefore think I must agree to differ with you all!

I find it hard to believe they didn't realise that their November/December promotion was going to cost them at least a few hundred thousand dollars. I calculated they must have lost about 30% on top of all deposits on that promotion and that isn't including the percentage they paid to accept and refund the credit card deposits.

I don't think they can be so mathematically challenged that they offer a promotion without realising the costs. Since they didn't seem to have a limit to the amount that could be deposited by players (some depositing $800 each day in the same casino) I can only assume it's deliberate for some reason (I think they would have taken a million at least in deposits for that promotion) or they were totally incompetent.

I don't know what ya'll are waiting for...this company is broke. Spend a minute at http://www.tropika.com/scripts/trop...ArtDet&item=182

If the #'s reported here are correct they are f*cked. They've extended their bank loans as far as they can go, the stock is worthless so they can't raise more money. And they quite obviously don't know how to manage a casino succesfully (despite using a great software package). Again my remarks strickly based upon what is in their financial statements.

I have to agree with AS. I'm not one to come on boards and bad mouth casinos, but there has to be a reason why Tropika isn't paying. They won't tell us why, so we speculate--it's just human nature.

First, it was the audit. Now the audit is over and people still aren't being paid. I know I've been waiting for a significant amount of money--both deposit credits and winnings. I am really losing out on this. I could be collecting interest on all the money they owe me--and my tax bill is looming on the horizon.

They give us no other option but to speculate. Anyone involved with online gambling for any length of time knows that something is seriously wrong here.

Even worse, is that I feel we have all been more than patient with these people. We've given them time to sort out the problems and have gone above and beyond what any consumer should be expected to do.

For that, we are treated as if "we" are the ones who did something wrong.

Every day we go unpai...

Still waiting for money...bottom line.

For exambple:

A computer company I'll call "Doorway", offers a sale where I pay for the product and I will get a scanner for 'free'.

Well, Doorway, decided to have an audit, and can't send out any computers until they have completed it. This is an internal audit, conducted for their own reasons.

I am told, that, when they do decide to send my computer, I will not be entitled to the free scanner because I did not follow all of their rules, even though they have kept my money. What am I supposed to think?

Say, I pull into the McBurger drive-thru and use a coupon to order the special. After I pay for it, I am told that I cannot have my food because they have run out of food, so they are going to close. But I can't have my money back. What am I supposed to think?

Speculation? Editorial comment? You do not consider the unfairness of accusing individuals of criminal conduct without a estige of proof? And please do not tell me that such allegations are justified simply because Tropika have ignored my advice to post here in response to your accusations.

No matter what country you happen to live in the morality of unsubstantiated accusations like this is questionable.

Excuse me!!

In this country, their conduct to this point is actionable, if not actually "criminal". They owe a debt, which, were it not an online gambling debt, they could be sued for nonperformance.

As to why, it is perfectly legitimate for me to speculate on this board about why this is the case. This is a place for "editorial comment". This is not exactly the "Congressional Record", and even if it were, the same would still apply. (The Congressional Record is the official record for the United State Congress).

Would it be remiss for me to say that there has still been no official (or unofficial) comment from Tropika. Apparently, they do not care what I, or anyone else thinks about what's going on with them.

In the face of this attitude there is little I can say, I'm afraid. But I do believe it is unreasonable for you to make unsubstantiated accusations of criminal conduct when you have no pertinent knowledge of the accused organization, and simply because you have a personal hunch and "live in the REAL WORLD".

I have never mentioned Jetset, or his casino. My understanding is that Tropika is in charge of all payouts.

However, I trust my own instincts more than I trust the protests of any one else posting out of the same lack of knowledge that I have. Apparently, all Jetset know is what he is told, which isn't much.

I have not accused you of any wrongdoing, because I believe you to be an honest man. However, that does not mean that everyone in the Tropika is as honest as you are. I live in the REAL WORLD, and I am not swayed by a lot of words that are not backed up by action. All over the world people are scammed every day by a lot of words. Over the internet, words are cheap.

Let's see some action by Tropika. Then I will have nothing more to say, and everyone will see how wrong I am.

First off, please note that I did not use the words "shocked" and "outraged" which you place in quotation marks, 'Sleuth, and I do not believe you or anyone else is justified in accusing Tropika staff of criminal behaviour simply because you have drawn the personal conclusion that they have a "cashflow" problem.

I do not know what the internal situation is there and neither do you, but let's keep a sense of reason unless and until events prove you right or wrong.

As I said before, Jetset, I am guessing, just as Sirius is. But you cannot blame players for speculating on why they have not been payed.

You have to be on the side of "right" to call someone to task about what they say. It is not beyond the realm of possibility for what I have said to be true. The casinos "gambled" and lost. Now they can't pay up.

The idea that "someone" may have had their hand in the till is not unreasonable either. After all, its not like it hasn't happened before. And considering that Tropika is not paying, and has not spoken about why they are not paying, they have not basis for getting upset about what unpaid players may guess to be the problem.

"Money Psychosis" is a serious problem for businesses where employees, and owners, who have access to large quantities of money. Temptation is a terrible thing. I think the Bible even mentions it once or twice.

So don't be "shocked" or "outraged"...

Someone on that message board I quoted from earlier has said he's owed $35k by Tropika casinos. I think the casinos are broke.

It seems like all the casinos using Tropika for payments are basically finished if they can't pay winners from months ago or even return some deposits. It's ridiculous that they continue to send promotions.

Jetset, you say that you are working on paying a big winner. $7k isn't even a big win. If a high roller hit a couple of lucky royal flushes on $25 bets you'd be having to pay out $20k on each. Even the slots jackpot is $12k at $15 a spin. Someone playing a few hours on blackjack at $200 a hand could easily win $10k because your deposit limits (according to your software) are high enough to hold off normal losing runs. $10k is only 50 bet units at the maximum bet.

Your deposit limits are ridiculously huge now. They are $6000 per credit card according to the software!!! I've mentioned this to you before, but the deposit limits on the jetset website still say that the limit is $1500 a week and $500 daily (even though I think I purchased $800 per credit card when I played so that is wro...

'Sleuth - it is a big leap of logic from "cash flow problems" to the allegations of malpractice and theft made above. If that is the sole basis for your earlier post I would say that the perspective is distorted.

I do agree however that Tropika needs to respond to the current situation and as I said before I have suggested to their senior management that they should do this. I hope they see the alue in that.

From my experience, the hard lessons are the best ones. If Tropika had tons of backup cash, and all the money they needed, everyone would have been paid long ago.

Common sense tells me that they have a "cash flow" problem. Why do they have a cash flow problem. They owe more than they have. Go from there.

These are my speculations, but probably not far off.

And yes, it would be best for Tropika to make a public statment. To this point they have been "hiding in the bushes". Until they come out and speak (as Unified Gaming did) there will continue to be speculations and bad blood from all the people they haven't paid. And in the future, their reputations will continue to follow them.

I'll be damned if I answer this and damned if I don't, so I am going to try anyway.

I can't speak for Tropika and I have no contact with them other than trying to assist players with problems here, but some ery serious allegations have just been made against them here which as far as I know from my extensive news travels on the internet have not been made elsewhere.

I have therefore recommended that they have a representative isit this board and answer those allegations as a matter of urgency.

Regarding Jetset I confirm that we have a large winner outstanding whom we are focused on paying out. We have been steadily paying off our players and we will continue to do that. I speak personally as a ten percent minority shareholder in Jetset but I know my associates share my intention to fulfil our obligations towards the players regardless of the Tropika situation.

Sirius, when did you get your check? Looks like they are sending out checks one by one...lol

Apparently they took a big hit from someone with a hand in the till. Either an ecash provider, or one of their own geeked up the money. Maybe living large during the good times, and not leaving a large enough cash reserve for the bad. I believe the audit was for their own people, and not on the players' accounts, unless it was to squeeze every extra dime they could from player winnings.

They are gambling as well. The cash reserve requirement is a minimum requirement, and if the software gets in a streak, that reserve can get gone in a hurry. With the number of casinos they are managing, this can get real bad real quick. Taking money from a player's account in one casino, to "supposedly" settle a dispute with another casino sends up big red flags.

My friend, whom I introduced to online casinos, is STILL owed $700 by Fairplay. She cashed out on Jan 7. This is outrageous conduct on the part of this operation. If this were surgery, the patient would be dead!!

Yes, Brian C, I do commend you for being frank and open about the entire situation, not only on your (Mike's) radio show, but on the article you published regarding bonuses on the Winneronline front page. So it is clear to me that you are on top of the situation.

My problem is that payments were supposed to be taken care of after the audit of Feb 15, and its now a whole month later, and I'm still seeing a few players that are complaining of nonpayment by Mr. Holmes.
(After direct correspondence with him).

I am beginning to wonder how "honest" the folks at Tropika really are. Either there is something deliberate going on, or if these mistakes are truly "honest mistakes" then the Tropika folks are complete and utter fools. It smacks of complete negligence. Total lack of caring about the people who keep them in business. THE PLAYERS.

I have no intention of changing my nom-de-plume, Dave - even to "regain" my credibility as you put it. I think that suggestion is over the top, in fact.

Jetset has almost overcome the slow payments backlog and continues to honor its obligations at a cost to the partners which we have accepted. We have been unacceptably slow and we have apologized for that and realize it has cost us business. But we have kept payments going and we are now almost over the hump.

Sirius, email me privately with your account number and I will investigate further - as far as I am aware we have no outstanding payments as old as three or four months.

If it really makes you feel better Dave I shall ask RadioBoy to remove the Jetset advert, which is a commercial arrangement between him and myself until we have sorted the remaining hassles out.

I will not consider relinquishing my ten per cent interest in Jetset casino until such time as we are back on a level footing with our players...
