Ceasar I think you are getting a little confused here.
Are you talking about the Interactive Gaming Council (whose non-linking logo you display on your site) or the self-appointed watchdog site Internet Gaming Commission?
The former CEO of Starnet Meldon Ellis did not found the Interactive Gaming Council - it was already in operation prior to his appointment at Starnet. After he left Fred Hazell ran his job until the present CEO took over just recently.
Gynneth McAllister has not been director of offshore gaming in Antigua for at least a year.
IGC members' sub-licencees not wholly owned by the member are not permitted to use the logo. There were a little over 100 IGC members owning a large number of online casinos, last I heard. IGC is chaired by Sue Schneider of River City Group and the Chief Exec based in Vancouver is Rick Smith.

OK, this is enough playtime. Grant, you are trying to spam this *section* for your Starnet operations. You have made false statements. Period. Get lost.
If you want to publicize your casinos, there are sections on this board where you are welcome, invited to do it, encouraged to do it, beseeched to do it to do it. This is not the section.
They are sections where readers go to look for offers just as you are making. Stop wasting your time and ours.
Do not bother replying to this post.

I enjoy disussing these issues with you guys. When your come backs don't answer the question it just reassures me again at how right I am. Croupier I'm thinging of retiring soon by making money online but it will no doubt be 0.01 after you do. Hey Croiupier leave some money behind for the rest of us. You just lose your money more systematically than the rest of us.

trouble is grantt, the ast majority of gamblers that are looking for the big win for their buck are standing in line at 7-11 to play lotto, not reading these boards. Maybe you would be wise to spam there.
Losing $14/hr playing $5 bj at starnet casino is not my idea of an exciting time.
again, starnet has the worst odds and the largest presence

Sensible gamblers isn't that an oxymoron like postal workers, war games, friendly fire or microsoft works. Call me wacked but no I would still classify them all as basically equal and if one gives you a $25 bonus using your logic that would put you 400% ahead on your first grand up $20.70. That's what I would take over your 0.01 advantage and I am sure you realize if you catch just one extra blackjack or win at any other site playing 200 hands at $5.00 per hand that also blows your theory out of the water.I guess it's safe to say no keno or two game parlays for you. Your missing out on the exciting world of big payoffs for little cash that most gamblers can't resist. The ast majority of gamblers are into that not what your talking about. The average guy wants to know who has the biggest jackpot for a buck regardless of the odds, not who has a 0.01 advantage at BJ.

.63% better than Starnet BossMedia single player -0.07%
.43% better than Starnet Microgaming +0.13%
.16% better than Starnet Real Time Gaming +0.40%

.10% better than Starnet GamblingSoftware.com +0.46%
.07% better than Starnet Cryptologic +0.49%
Bottom - worst of them all Starnet +0.56%
All other things being equal, I would take a 0.01% advantage anytime I could get it.
The difference between Starnet & microgaming (not the best on the list) would be worth $4.30 for every $1000 bet. You might be able to throw away money, but sensible gamblers don't.

grantt,
I daresay you are a bit misguided and misinformed. Video Poker, like blackjack can be analyzed and the exact return determined.
Therefore, if a casino like, say, Global Player offer games in the 99.+%range and starnet offers games in the 96% range, where should the player play? It would have to be some kind of bonus to bring the e up to anywhere close to positive.
Personally, I just make field bets and a $5 horn once in awhile. I have a system where the 7 cannot hurt me.

I wouldn't touch ANY Starnet casino right now with a UK-to-Antigua-long barge pole! My previous post about fraud at Crystal Casino's the reason. Someone illegally made two deposits, played and lost on my account there (even though I stopped playing Starnet sites last year). I asked for a fraud investigation, and EFS Caribbean, Starnet's ecash provider, duly refunded the monies owed. A customer services rep indicated to me that I wasn't the only who had suffered at Crystal Casino, and there were three or four others in the same boat.
Glad that the money has been refunded, I am unhappy that I still have not been provided with an explanation of what happened ie the findings of their fraud investigation, even though I've asked for one. Was it a disgruntled ex-employee Crystal Casino employee who stole customer's details, fraud by the casino itself, or has EFS' data base been compromised?
Until such time as EFS are able to provide an explanation of how this fraud came about and what steps they have... | | Read Entire Entry |

According to the wizard of odds - http://www.thewizardofodds.com/game...ecasinoapx.html - StarNet has one of the worst BJ games around.
In fact, a full pay Jacks or Better Video Poker game will give a better %return.

Jondo thats interesting because most people could care less about ideo poker and only care about blackjack. Starnet in my opinion as do most sites have great blackjack. Most people I know who gamble and rightly so only care about the game with there best chance of winning blackjack. You don't play 10 number keno do you?

at every starnet site I have ever seen they show a deuces wild game in their preview with a good pay schedule, but of course the actual game is $h1t. I always maintain you can judge a casino by their ideo poker and starnet is about the worst. Of course, if you play to win bonus money it is a different game but I believe their BJ and other games aint too great either.MHO
Too me they're like casino on the net, everywhere.

jondo I would have to say a big yes to all of the above. The sites I recommend have ZERO customer complaints and Hall of Fame Casino and Oddz have great bonus compared to irtually any site I have seen. Come to think of it I have never seen a better offer than what these guys offer and deliver on, hence there impecable record.

Nice job, Craig.
Not a member of the IGC.
Not registered in Antigua, although clearly the Starnet servers are there.
Grantt - you've been had.
James - This was the case in the past, and I fully agree with you; however, the IGC is now starting to list casinos under the member's registrations in some of the cases.
Had Grantt's organization been a proper member I'm sure he would have taken pains to point out exactly who the membership is through.
Still, there is another alternative - send the IGC and email and simply ask.
I'm not saying that the IGC or AntiguaGaming seals guarantee safe and honest sites - but sites which falsely display them are definitely not on my list of places to play - and they shouldn't be on yours, either.

Fair do, James - you're right about the holding companies being listed at IGC but not their casinos.
I guess it is because there are so many directly owned casinos under each of the hundred-odd members with new ones being brought on all the time that it would be a full-time job just maintaining a casino list.
It would be good though to have each member listed with the casinos they own. Easier to ID the real culprits when something goes wrong. Or applaud them for superior performance!

You should also enter the web site name and address for each other site solely owned by you and on which you wish to be allowed to display the IGC logo. For Owner/Operator applicants these sites may be all casinos and/or sports books owned entirely by the applicant only. If the applicant is a partner with another individual or entity, or if the casino/sports book is owned by a subsidiary of the applicant, that partnership or subsidiary must also be a member before it may display the membership logo unless the
applicant has agreed in writing to be responsible for the obligations of the subsidiary/partnership and such agreement has been filed with the IGC.
Sounds to me like spearmaster has got it right.

I agree Allgam. I have no idea who is a IGC member and who is not by going to there site. If that even means anything. Spearman do you or Amatuer slueth know where on the site it says. I sure couldn't find it. You are coming across like you know so please inform us. It would be good to know all though I am still not about to use that for a criteria of where I will gamble. You heard my opinion on them I believe it to be correct.

Doing your homework on a casino makes good sense and Spear I agree that the Antigua Gaming and IGC sites are must isits to check sites claiming to be licensed and members.
I do have a problem with the IGC site however. I have difficult actually confirming which casinos are legitimate members from the list of members page. Sometimes only the holding company name is shown and this is not necessarily obvious from the casino site. If anyone agrees and has some influence with the IGC can they perhaps mention it to them.

I don't have an operation to be shut down. The online gaming industry to the best of my knowledge is 100% unregulated perhaps someone can comment on this. These sites are not governing bodies but just sites started up by a regular joe like you or I that lists sites that people have complained about. They then eventually do what they all do which is start charging for advertising like you can see is already begining to happen and before you know it they run a site like Spearmans. Some of you guys have a lot to learn now go to www.1sportsguy.com and enjoy your day.

Grantt -
If you don't know the rules, check them yourself. Rather than finding out the hard way later when your operation suddenly gets shut down.
Your comment on my site is not alid, except for the bright colors LOL. Multiple grumbles are usually enough to get my attention. But since you don't dare to name them there isn't much I can say.

Spear has a long record here of helpful and constructive posts, and I ery much doubt he would make all of this up just for the fun of it, Grantt. Or are you just trying to be noticed again?
From my knowledge, what Spearmaster says above is correct - sub-licencees are not supposed to be using the logo although I am sure many do to give potential clients a false sense of security.
There ARE large numbers of substandard and frequently Starnet sites coming on to the 'Net every week - we're currently logging an average of around 11 a week.
I would add to the above warning a suggestion that where gamblers do come across bogus use of logos they report it to the organizations concerned - it might be another of those small but important steps toward a better industry.
As to the site criticism I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Unless of course Grantt is trying to wind Spearmaster up a little...

I have seen several posts here from new people who are promoting a single site, which happen to be starnet, and happen to have these seals, neither of which is a link. If the seals are alid, they should have a link to the site they represent.
What he is saying is, "Let the buyer beware." Given the way things are, with so many casinos popping up with these seals, he is correct to warn people, whether they want to listen or not.
Grantt,
that little site you are promoting, www.halloffamecasino.com is a prime examble. I checked it myself when you first posted it. If anyone cares to look, the seals on this site are bogus.

I'm getting a bit worried by the sudden flood of Starnet casino/sportsbook operations that have been appearing out of the woodwork - ALL of them displaying the IGC and Antigua seals.
SO, for anyone that wants positive proof before playing - this is directly from the Antigua Gaming site:
Quote:
The fact that this Seal is displayed on this site means the company has its physical corporate headquarters and primary server in Antigua and Barbuda. The primary server in this case is that on which the transactions are conducted.
Any site displaying this logo should be checked against the licensee list on our government site http://www.antiguagaming.com or call toll free: 1-888-734-1990.
And here you can find the membership list of the IGC - http://igcouncil.org/members/ .
If the casino claims to be a member and you cannot find it on both sites, stay away.
Starnet licensees do NOT have permission to use the memberships of the parent company under any ... | | Read Entire Entry |
