Unfortunately,

Gambling Online Magazine will not be bought. Awards will be handed out to those sites that are most deserving. We will let our readers and site isitors control the outcome.

We believe this is the most ethical way to choose our winners.

Are you a casino in need of an award?

Is buying otes from your customers too expensive?

Just start your own gambling portal and give yourself the award.

I can't claim this is original. It's been done by your friends at Golden Palace. Of course they are one of the most honest online casinos.

I can sympathize with the trouble Casino.com has had regarding their poll. Currently Gambling Online Magazine is conducting a poll for arious catagories, which will be published in our annual November Yearbook.

Trying to publish fair results is a major concern of ours. We have been contacted by many sites asking to buy the top honors. We maintain that our readers and industry experts will be responsible for choosing our winners.

In order to make the oting fair, we will be deleeting otes that come from the same email address. If anyone can think of additional ways to make the oting fair, please contact me at editor@gamblingonlinemagazine.com. I would be ery interested in hearing any ideas or concerns.

The Top Sites awards were really popular a couple years back, and I think the casinos generally liked the idea of high positioning as a sort of "testimonial" marketing gimmick.

But my perception is that it is becoming a little passe these days and probably needs freshening up (and the rules perhaps tightening up) as it still has potential. The ote-buying stories don't add to it's cred.

Good post red. I actually haven't paid any attention to their top sites polls in over a year now because of the fact that so many casinos were buying otes (am not sure if this is still the case or not). If they can afford to pay players for oting for them then fine, who I am to say anything bad about it, but the end result is that the top casinos every month were those with the deepest pockets, which isn't necessarily something that makes them better.

Dave,

The beauty of forum boards is that if you don't KNOW the answer to a question, you are not obligated to offer an answer.

I realize when we were called on by the 9th grade algebra teacher and didn't know the answer, it was acceptable to enture a guess, new arena here.

Ted asked a real question "Can anyone explain why this oting was suspended?", one would assume he was looking for a real answer.

Right on the "Tops Sites" page, found it!
"NOTE: The Most Dishonest Casino Poll has been discontinued.
There were only a few otes difference between all top 20 casinos in this category.
It would be ery irresponsible for us to publish the results thus far as the differences are insignificant but the potential side-effects could be material.
Despite the small oting turnout there was significant cheating. For example, of the otes for the top Casino in this category 40% were multiple otes or from disqualified oters. After adjusting fo...

If you go to gonegambling you will see this on their main page "We were also oted number 3 in the "Best Online Casino" category and in the "Most Honest Online Casino" category - and we're not even a Casino! How about that? At Gonegambling you will get to play for Free to win real Cash and Casino accounts. Winning is easy. You only need to take a look at our Forum to see what our Members think of us." I think that about sums it up

Here we go again...

Nearly every casino advertises on Gambling.com - so that is a totally irrelevant factor.

The reason is simple because a certain casino (who I suspect to be GP) oted Most Dishonest, was also oted as one of the Most Honest. The poll simply did not reflect reality.

They removed that category because the site oted most dishonest was one of thier advertisers.

As you can see, almost everyone in this industry is bought and paid for.

Just follow the money trail.
And throw away morals and ethics.

I recall that about a year ago Gambling.Com had a category for Most Dishonest Casino. Can anyone explain why this oting was suspended? Personally, I would like to see it restored.
