I second that assessment HGN is just looking for a windfall. They could have sued long ago, but obviously decided to wait for maximum effect.
Early prediction: HGN's patent will be challenged as unnecessarily wide-ranging, and the patent will be ruled either to cover only a specific method of delivering live ideo involving live dealers over the Net, or subseqeuently declared invalid.

Talk about a flea attacking an elephant! Dr H will be a tough nut to crack. Even if Molnick at i2corp/HGN subsequently withdraws he will have achieved major publicity taking on a gambling mogul like Dr Ho - and i2corp can never be accused of not grabbing every publicity opportunity that passes by.
This should be a major and weighty test of the i2corp patents.

I predicted this last year, and sadly it has come to pass.
Quote:
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2001--A lawsuit for Patent Infringement has been filed in United States Federal Court, District for Nevada against DrHo.com, its owners, management, officers, executives and related contributing infringing companies by Home Gambling Network (HGN), a wholly owned subsidiary of i2corp.com
In this regard, I am 110% supporting Dr. Ho - even if I still think their software is not of reasonable standard.
