That's a useful "justification" letter for a forseen unpopular move IMO. But as with all good justifications there's a lot of truth in it. We all know this is a competitive business where established companies and the lower echelons alike need to keep a ery close eye on the numbers.
And many operators are waking up at last to the dangers inherent in the crazier bonus offerings and are looking at alternatives.
On the plus side the research shows increases in gamblers and revenues, and the (hopeful) advent of the big, well regulated Vegas names will surely have a positive impact.
There ARE a lot of sites out there, but many of them are so deficient in so many areas that they are unlikely to survive. The Great Casino Shakeout is in my iew gathering momentum.

I think rigging accusations existed as soon as the first casinos came online.
Being a big name just isn't enough anymore. The older you get, the harder it is to retain your clientele.
Sooner or later, though, there will be a point at which it is not worthwhile to put a casino online unless you have significant backing - and eventually the cream will rise to the top.
Especially when the Vegas casinos start coming online in a couple of years.

Are you talking about a group with multible casinos or one individual casino? The only one I can imagine out there doing the olume,{ on it's own}, to produce a net 100k in a month is Intercasino. This just came out from Sands, same people that have Intercasino.
Starting on July 1, 2001, The Sands of the Caribbean® Online Casino has
changed the $25 monthly bonus format. How? During any calendar month, if
you make a SINGLE deposit of $50 or more and we'll be happy to credit your
account with $25 in FREE casino chips. However, you must now wager $500
in total casino wagers (sports betting excluded) to be eligible to "cash-out"
your $25 bonus. Please note that this is the final increase.
We have received a few complaints from customers regarding this increase and
we feel that you deserve an explaination of why we have done this. Basically,
we have two current issues that we are facing:
1. The rising price of online advertising
2. Increased comp... | | Read Entire Entry |

I would back Got2Bet's assertions here - it's a tough business but the top casinos which have marketed well, kept pace with developments and maintained a high level of client service and loyalty programs are doing considerably better than 20G a month.
That's in the top quartile. Lower down, 38S is right - they're dropping like flies as under funding, tough competition and better player knowledge takes it's toll.
And I can confirm that Jim Redman's WAS up and running (past tense) - I checked it out earlier this year.

Luckystrike, I sure would like to know where you got your stats from, because that claim is definitely not true.
I know of at least one casino that cleared an easy 6 figures just a couple months after opening. Confidentiality precludes me from naming it however, or the actual figure.

Mary,
I noticed that the registrar listed is TUCOWS, INC. I'm slightly familiar with Tucows as a download update website, though they also have a casino section with reviews. I don't really know what the registrar means exactly, so i was just wondering if you could tell me what the relationship is if there is one between Tucows and "Online Casino Sales", or gss.
I'd also like to say that while i've stopped gambling online for arious reasons and so i don't read this board that much anymore, i've always really appreciated how clearly thought out, constructive, and even-tempered your posts are. You're quite an asset to the online gambling community, and so I just wanted to say thank you!

That wouldn't be Mark spreading the fertiliser again would it?
Are all of these benefits included in the purchase price or are they still not itemizing their "extras"?
Are they still re-packaging the Garrink software?
