4 months after my woes began I finally got my money (less $15 - I don't know how to account for that but "oh well").
It was a long, hard road but I finally got justice.
If it wasn't for sheer patience, perseverance and tireless hours of work by my champion - Julie of Gambling Grumbles - I fear I never would have received my winnings.
Unified Gaming and Gamblers Palace should be ashamed of how they treated me and the pure shenanigans they engaged in (including accusing me of foul play (multiple times), clearing me of wrongdoing (multiple times) and then still refusing pay me for a long time, etc.).
Suffice it to say that I would never recommend any Unfied Gaming site and I believe that anyone who continues to use a UG is a major sucker.
I am sure there a more respectable sites out there.
Thank you to all who helped me.
Lastly, if anyone ever has a problem with a site go to Gambling Grumbles. JULIE IS THE BEST!

Damn. Have you gone over to Gambling Grumbles and filed a complaint there?? It's over at www.gamblingcommunity.com
They have a real good record of making progress with casinos under circumstances such as this. Sounds like GP is giving you a load of BS. I'd still put my $$$ that you'll eventually get your $$$ if you keep the pressure up. I'd like to hear UG's or GP's side on this!!!! Keep us posted.

Here's an update of my woeful inauguration into online gaming:
Over two weeks ago, after I posted my messages on the boards, Gamblers Palace told me that the "audit" of my account was over and that I had been cleared of any wrongdoing. They assured me that my $10,000 withdrawal request will be processed immediately.
WRONG!!
Although my credit card was credited back with $500; I never received my $9,500 bank wire. Whenever I called GP asking about this they would tell me that I will be getting it any day.
This past weekend they told me that they cannot pay me and the decision to not pay me was made by UNIFIED GAMING. It appears that UG is now "auditing" my account. GP told me that since it was not their decision that I now have to contact UG. Well, my e-mails to UG have gone unanswered.
I am still out $9,500 and I don't know what to do.
I am upset that I am out my rightful money and that these unethical slimebags are still in busi... | | Read Entire Entry |

If I were you I'd call them 3 times every single day asking for your withdawal. Ask for a supervisor as much as possible. It would be cool if Steve could do this on the air; I'd like the whole world to know the way they treat customers, and CasinoGazette had a large group of dedicated listeners.

OK... here's an update.
They finished the audit of my account two weeks back and said that everything is kosher (however, they did not apologize for originally accusing me of foul play). So, they unfroze my account and told me that they would wire the money to me.
As a result,I sent them my bank information and they acknowledged that they "processed" my request. It is now 2 weeks later and I haven't received a dime. They don't return my e-mails and whenever I call them another person tells me that I should be wired the money in "just a few days" (silly me, I thought bank wires were speedy transactions). Also, depending on who I speak to over there my withdrawal request is either for $5,000 or $9,500 (I should be getting $9,500 by bank wire).
The current story as of March 20, 2001 is that I should be wired the money Thursday, March 22nd or Friday, March 23rd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I plan on a full update once I receive my withdrawal in fu... | | Read Entire Entry |

Newbie, for what it's worth, I think James gave you some ery sage advice about splitting up your winnings. There is more than one UG casino. In fact, I try to keep my winnings below $1k. Audits tend to kick in around that level.
As an advantage BJ player, I hope you see the fallacy in the argument about "letting the casino off the hook" when you're winning.
HitMob is so transparent, isn't he?

What kind of proof? Is there anyway you can send me the proof? I would like to see it.
As for the OPA: I contacted them when I originally posted on the message boards and joined that same day. I hope that their intervention will help.

Hitmob;
Thanks for the answer. Now I think I understand it. The casinos are afraid the players are using software to wipe them out, and the players are afraid of the casinos using an unfair program to wipe them out, or if that fails the casino locks-up the players account and does not pay. Sort of sounds like the "Mad Magazine" Cartoon--"Spy erses Spy". Nobody trusts anybody.

A robot player may do more than just play perfect strategy. If that's all it did, then I don't know how it can guarantee a win at Unified Gaming single deck. You need a lot of luck to win. I've never played at UG sites because they seem to require all european players to send faxed authorisations to deposit. I think it's because address erification on credit cards only works for US residents.

Ahhhh, thanks for the explanation babe.
So, I really don't see what's so great about the use of a robot anyway. I have single-deck basic strategy down pat and I have some charts (courtesy of the wizard of odds) that assist me when I draw a lot of cards on a hand. Since I play a lot of real (in-person) blackjack I guess that I can also play pretty quickly (as quickly as my crappy laptop permits). But I imagine that the robot doesn't get up for bathroom or food breaks.
In addition, I would like to make one thing perfectly clear. Gamblers Palace has not accused me of using a robot. ONLY HITMOB HAS MALICIOUSLY AND UNFOUNDEDLY SUGGESTED THIS. GP says that wanted to audit me due to an alleged 10-minute overlap between 2 of my sessions (as covered previously in this thread and of which I am not guilty). I also suspect that they want to audit me because I was quite successful. But I never even heard of this robot business until Hitmob started writing about it in this thread.

A robot does not cheat. What is does is play ery fast and without mistakes. UG sites have a rule forbidding the use of robots. There was a case not to long ago about a casino refusing to play a player because he was suspect of using a robot at roulette. If I owned a casino, I would put out a welcome mat for robots. I don't understand why a casino would not want faster play at a game when they have an edge. I can understand not wanting a robot playing a game like the UG single deck bj where the player possibly can get an edge. I say possibly because I doubt if that game is random. Not allowing robot play just give the casino an excuse for not paying winners.

Thanks for explaining what a robot player is. Judging from your posts I knew it was a way of cheating but I had no idea what it actually was.
I assume then that a robot player would not have betting fluctuations or bathroom breaks - which would be readily evident on a log of my playing time.

Yes, there is a nifty bit of software which I have seen in action which basically wipes the floor with this casino powered software, you simply log onto the casino launch both the blackjack and software and bingo off it goes.
There is a website selling this software even a free dowbload which expires after a week (very generous of them) but everyone in the know knows where it is and has seen it in actuion so I wont bore you with details as Marlene and Evoid get bored with my ramblings.

I doubt that it was UG that said don't pay as Golden Wager themselves said on the air the the player passed the audit. There was another UG casino involved at the same time and they paid the player after the audit. Good luck getting a reponse from UG. They don't have a phone number listed on their site and they don't repsond to emails.

Contact Unified Gaming immeidtiately, and ask to speak to a supervisor in charge of auditing accounts. They have NO right to put you in a panic like this as to whether or not you'll get paid.
Golden Wager (another UG casino) refused to pay a player his $15,000 until the OPA became involved. Steve worked hard and got the player $10,000 (two checks of $5K). Then the casino REFUSED to pay the remaining 5,000 and accused the player of robot play.
I am unsure if the casino unilaterally made this decision of if UG told them not to pay the remainder.

Babe,
We are on the same wavelength; I've already written to the casino with that suggestion yesterday. They have yet to respond to me regarding that issue. I figure that they will see that one session was dormant while the other session would show my play.
Thanks for the support.

Here's an argument for you Angry Newbie that should settle the double log in one way or the other. They should be able to see that only one of the logins had play during the specified period of time.
Hitmob, why are you so different on the boards than you are on your radio show? Stop wasting everybodies time and bandwith with non essential posts.

DAMMIT... I played honestly.
Even the casino in their latest e-mail said that they are not accusing me of anything. Furthermore, the only thing the casino wants to look at is a ten-minute window of time where they claim I was logged on twice to the same account. I think Babe (above) gave an adequate explanation of that. By the time of that alleged ten-minute overlap I had already been up all of the money that is presently in my account.
I came here for help; not to be baselessly accused of wrongdoing.
I don't even understand a scenario where you can cheat.
The rules offered at Gamblers Palace actually favor the player. If you play perfect basic strategy, get lucky and play long enough you will win. I was lucky enough to win at first which gave me the luxury of playing $100 a hand instead of the $10, $15 and $25 a hand with which I began.
Sheesh - thanks for all of the help.

That's a great idea, Angry Newbie! A kill file on the message board! I would pay for that.
These days, the only way to get your info right is to filter the sh*t out. I do it with news and email but on the damn boards I have to suffer every idiot's "spam talk". That's why I don't post often : at least I don't feel like I could be triggering the attention seeking spammers myself.
How bored do you have to be to spend your time annoying people with erbal sh*t on a message board? It scares me to think of it.

Hitmob,
I was not aware of the scenario you described.
I will defer to your experience.
There was one thing I was curious about. Since I have actually played $500 into $10K at a casino which only offered $200 a hand limits, and I know how long I had to play and what kind of lucky streak I had to have to do it, I was amazed upon hearing a story where it was done with $100.00 limits.

Hitmob,
I have ignored your posts because at first I didn't quite understand them and then I found them silly. However, this last post is just downright defamation.
I played the game myself - fairly and squarely. I am new to online blackjack but I am quite experienced at playing blackjack in real casinos. When I played all throughout last week online, I used my knowledge of basic strategy and only made moves that were dictated by the odds (aside from one time when I mistakenly brushed my laptop's ersion of a left mouse button which caused me to hit on a hard 19 or 20 - I don't remember which - and bust on an otherise winning hand).
Just because you are posting anonymously on a message board, under a silly user name, does not bestow upon you the right to cavalierly make outrageous and libelous allegations. I came to this, and other, message boards to seek guidance on how to handle this situation, as well as to provide a caution to others similarly situated.
