PJ, the problem is that a casino being licensed doesnt mean much of anything. I think alot of licensing is just a small countrys government issuing paper for money and not much else. Dont expect these folks to intercede if you have a problem with a casino. Your best bet is to join the OPA.
As far as cheating the casinos, i am not aware of anyway to really do this, but believe me, lots of these online casinos will try to say that you cheated them to try to get out of paying you.
Again i say BE CAREFUL and good luck.

Thanks Mary for the big post with all the excellent advice. This is truly a buyer beware environment.
If the online casino is located someplace where a license is necessary than that obviously adds weight to the players side. Lets' face it- we log onto to the casino and gamble from our own computer. This begs the question. Not that I want to know any, but are there ways to "cheat" an online casino? Other than the casino cheating me, I don't see why the patron's claim isn't an open and shut case, given computor records and such.

Colly! Good to see you here.
Ponzi scheme is actually named after a Mr. Ponzi. Basically, it is an investment scam in which early investors are paid with later investors' money, but told it is from whatever the business story is: the ostrich farm, the gold mine, the online casino. The early investors then tell their friends about the great return they got, or, reinvest for more, and then the scamster leaves town.
For an online casino, it would be one that puts a thirty-day limit on players withdrawing their funds, such as www.casinoduck.com did. This allows the scammer to collect money for thirty days, and either take it or use it for a float for payouts instead of coming to the online casino business sufficiently banked.

If you want to find the best games, I suggest you go to www.gamemasteronline.com and www.thewizardofodds.com
Global Player recently had a bj tournament that was a lot of fun.

Is that UnifiedGaming.com?... OK, I just went there. How has good BJ rules? I've noticed a couple will let you double any pair, but others won't. Does any casino offer surrender?.. or am I just being foolish?

These are software providers. Each one has multiple casinos using their software. My favorite is Microgaming (I like their slots), but some folks dont care for their blackjack.
You will see their links on the casinos homepages.
