I earlier emailed Paypal with all the casino's excuses and CC'd it to feedback@grandbankscasino.com and now I have my withdrawel. I won't play there again.

Can't say that I have checked them out... hold on...

Igamingnews says that St. Vincent is a licensing jurisdiction, but does not currently appear to be accepting applicants.

However, I cannot ouch for the accuracy of that information, as it also listed Hong Kong and Singapore, which are NOT online licensing jurisdictions. In fact, Singapore does not even allow gambling INFORMATION.

Does anyone know if Saint Vincent and Grenadines issue licenses or allow online casino servers to be based there?

I think a lot of people know Costa Rica don't issue casino licenses. A lot of casinos still say they are licensed in Costa Rica and it doesn't make much difference as long as they are legal.

I remember after Asian Gamble Casino stupidly rigged my roulette wheel, they were interviewed at Casino Gazette saying they were licensed in Costa Rica. I commented then on this board too that they don't actually issue casino licenses there.

Costa Rica does not issue gaming licenses - only occupational permits. Antoine is correct. There is no such thing as a license in Costa Rica.

The first customer rep at Grand Banks
that I spoke with told me that he did
not know where Grand Banks was licensed.
The last customer rep that I spoke with
told me that the casino was licensed
in Costa Rica. My impression was that
he did not really know. The reps for
Grand Banks handle a number of casinos
and they are not ery knowledgeable.
They try, but never seem to have an answer.
They almost always refer me to e-mail
support.The telephone support is definitely
located in Costa Rica.

I know i promised Mary i wouldn't post in the players board, but i feel that i have some unique input...

IF someone at Grand Banks claimed that they are licensed in Costa Rica, they are either confused or they outright lied. No internet casino is licensed in Costa Rica, since that country does not license casinos. That does not mean casinos do not operate there.

For example, Vegas USA is located in Costa Rica, and they are welcome there, as long as they follow local costa rican laws.

This does not make Grand Banks a bad operation, nor does it make Vegas USA a bad one. I find that the people at Vegas USA are some of the friendliest and most courteous in this industry. Another thing, does a license really mean that much?

Anyone can buy a license from Antigua & Barbuda for 100k, and that means absolutely nothing. I think that we should start looking at how a casino is handled ahead of if it's licensed. If the license is in Australia (i know not likely any more, bad...

I decided to not participate in the promo.

They have given me conflicting answers
on how to deposit money with them ia
PayPal. And I was beginning to see a
hassle developing.

I have requested an almost full refund
of all my deposits and winnings - part
will return to FirePay and the remainder
will be tranferred to PayPal. Or at least,
I hope it will!

I know from another board that some people deposited using Paypal for today's 30% promo (which I obviously didn't take part in) so I don't see why they can't pay me the same way from the same email address.

I think everyone should stop playing the promotions there for a while and see how long they take to get paid. The casino might find they are a bit short of cash.

If players keep reversing their withdrawels to play in the promotions (which require new deposits - a reversal is just necessary to be able to deposit) they are just letting the casino delay their payouts longer.

I deal with Grand Banks and have had minor
problems but, so far, no major ones.

I believe that the problem Sirius is
facing is probably originating from
Grand Banks. However, please keep in
mind that PayPal is not the best run
organization in the world. A few weeks
ago I read that a local California
Better Business Bureau said that PayPal
was THE most complained about business
in their area. The received between 30
and 40 complaints per month about PayPal.

Personally, I have had problems with
FirePay. FirePay has never responded to
ANY of my e-mails concerning why I am
not able to deposit with them with either
my Mastercard or Visa card.

These e-cash companies have their problems
also

When Grand Banks did not transfer money
into my PayPal account according to
schedule, I spoke to someone on the phone
and he said they were behind in their
processing and it would take a few more
days. I ev...

I'm totally fed up with this casino. I still have no Paypal withdrawel.

I joined them three months ago and they didn't reply to any emails until last month. They always say that withdrawels take 2-3 days to approve and up to 7 days to reach it's destination. I've withdrawn about four times and on all occasions it's taken much longer to approve (usually a few weeks). It may have been due to the fact that the cheques were usually quite big but that shouldn't matter.

Their website still says:

Quote:

29Incredible Games!
They're fun. They're challenging. They're interactive.
They offer some of the highest Jackpots ever - With EXPRESS PAYOUTS! Credit Cards - 48 hours and Checks sent within 7 business days!!!!
And more important, Grand Banks Casino offers you a commitment to security, second to none.

While it's true that Credit cards are refunded fast they seem to delay paying everything else if you've won more than a few hundred. They often ema...

I suppose I shouldn't be suprised that they lied again. I don't expect to have the Paypal withdrawel today now with only a few hours to go in EST.

What does that say about the casino? First telling me the crap that it takes 3 business days and then telling me it will be sent Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Before anyone asks, I did fill in a complaint form to the OPA before I started this thread but didn't get any response despite reminding Steve and Larry about it (I don't think it was sent to Larry because OPA approved casino complaints aren't posted at Casinomeister).

We are all talking about the same RTG casino. The internetcommission.com say they are licensed in Saint Vincent and Grenadines (or something like that) but I think that's where they are based maybe. I don't know if they have casino licenses there.
http://www.internetcommission.com/c...=&game=&action=

It is usually a few weeks before I get a cheque. I had to complain to OPA about the last one after waiting 3 weeks (it was quite a large cheque). They took quite a while before too and never replied to emails although they do now. Their web page used to say they are processed daily and it takes a few days to approve but they seem to have taken that off their site now.

BTW, I still haven't had my Paypal withdrawel and today (at the latst) is the day they are meant to send it according to them.

Thank T.O.M - I am talking about the
Grand Banks that runs RTG. They seem
to be overly generous with their bonus
offers. They also have a unique approach
to marketing - get the player to the site
by running tournaments every day.

Their customer service rep told me today,
for what it is worth, that they are
licensed in Costa Rica. This rep handles
a number of casinos . He also said
that their banking system is located in
Canada.

I have been paid in a ery timely manner EVERYTIME I have cashed out from GB. Credit card refunds are always processed on the third day after the cashout and the check is approved after 5 days. So you must sit out all the tournaments and promos for 5 days each time you want a check. Since only the first check is free each month I only have to do that once a month.

I think the OPA at least should find out where they are licensed. They have constant promotions and remind me of Ascot Casino a bit (and they seemed to start when Ascot closed).

An example of their promotions is this Wednesday when they are giving away up to $300 bonus to anyone who deposits $1000 (30% bonus on up to $1000). The deposit has to be wagered 10 times but this is still well over $200 on average being given away after deducting the house edge. This is assuming most people play blackjack (and properly) and don't wager much more than the $10,000 necessary. You can tell how much you've wagered from the comp points in the banking screen and I don't think many people would wager more than necessary!

They won't make money on this even if they were optimistic (players would have to lose over 3% of the amount wagered). They don't even allow slots or ideo poker in the promo for some reason when they would make more money with these games! Does the casino mistakenly think that it's be...

I have found Grand Banks to be the
"strangest" of all the casinos I play.
They spend a lot on advertising and
they give away a lot of bonus money.
They offer a lot of tournaments and
give away more money that way.

They seem to be independent of any
other casino on the net. They are
a faceless casino and no names of any
kind are ever mentioned when they
reply by e-mail. I once asked them
where they were licensed and the rep
on the phone did not know.

So far, I have not been seriously burned
by them. If they handled their customer
service better and speeded up their payouts
they would be a big-time contender on the
net.

I requested a withdrawal from Grand Banks
back to my credit card. After between
10 and 14 days ,GB told me that my
Mastercard would not accept the return
of my deposit. GB arranged that I be
paid by PayPal. I received the money
in my PayPal account on the 6th day
after I placed my PayPal request.

There is something strange about this casino. I've won quite a lot of money from them, but they have always taken ages to pay. They also seem to have an unlimited amount of money to give away. Their almost daily promotions (which I hardly ever play) often make you reverse cashouts and this delays payouts even more.

I've been trying to get a paypal withdrawel processed since last month. I reversed it over a week ago to play in a promotion and withdrew again on the 8th July. I emailed them asking for it to be sent immediately because I was waiting over a week before I reversed it. They said :

Quote:

Thank you for your patience. Your Paypal withdrawal made on July 8th.
will require three business days to be processed. Once your deposit is
approved you should receive it the same day. Thank you and have a nice day.

After this time passed I emailed them again and they now say:

The best way to thank a great casino is by letting others know about them. I have played at hundreds of online casinos over the years and Grand Banks caino is in a class of its own.

I am a big fan of Baccarat and craps, but most online casinos prohibit these games if you are receiving a bonus, but Grand Banks Casino promos do not exclude ANY GAMES. I had a great time last night playing Craps for few hours while qualifying for my bonus and continued playing long after I had completed the wagering requirements.

I do most of my playing at RTG casinos like Grand Banks but the most entertaining Craps software belongs to Microgaming with its advanced Craps sounds. Sometimes I play at MG casinos just to listen to that guy say "ROLLING FOR THE ...."
