Dirk, just think of us slot players as your "casino angels", lol.
OK, but just don't get nutty like some of the retired folks I see playing in B&M casinos from time to time.
Those people have some ery wierd ideas when it comes to gambling: rubbing machines, yelling at machines, pounding on machines, talking to machines, praying to Jesus etc., etc.
Never seems to help much though.

Slotski--the anti-slot people do not understand what slot machines really do.
See, with the moving symbols, lights, and rhythms of play they induce a form of trance that is enlightenment consciousness attuning the player to the forces behind all materiality. Contemplating the sacred spin is a meditation upon orbital structures such as atoms and planetary systems.

i must say that i am deeply offended by the repeated references to slot lovers as basically being dumb (although i admit i am). For any other dummies out there who are interested in slots i have the following observations:
Best Graphics
1.Microgaming (by far)
2.Whatever Golden Palace and that group uses (but i only play there for fun for obvious reasons)
3.I-Crystal (see #2)
4.Boss Media (a distant 4th)
5.All others basically stink.
Best Payouts
1.No winner here, lol.
Best Progressive Slots:
Microgaming (by a mile again)Cash Splash, Lotsloot,Wowpot,Fiestafruit.
Disclaimer:*As mentioned above (repeatedly), dont expect to win over the long haul at slots, if you hit a good one, get the heck out of dodge.
Sincerely,
Slotdummy

1 ote for Boss Media... RTG bj is dealt IMO WAY TOO fast. I like adding up the card alues myself. RTG blackjack hands are played soo fast that they 'could' be cheating me when they have 22 and 'say' they have 21 or something like that. It's so fast I can't count them quick enough. Plus the fewer hands an hour, the better off you are. Boss is quick enough. Fast enough to get a lot of hands per hour, slow enough to actually see what cards you and the dealer get.

Hey, happy to see so many responses!
I agree with Dirk and Mary, in that your fave software depends on your fave game.
Personally, I am card lover, VP, BJ and all. That's why I like Bossmedia. Speed is not an issue for me, as I have a really fast connection at home and at office so gameplay is fast and hyped.
MG does not cut it for me PERSONALLY, I'm not giving a general iew of the industry here, maybe a biased one based on bad past experiences with them, but hey, I'm human!
PERSONALLY, I believe that Bossmedia has a fairer, more direct approach. I've never had much of a negative experience with them and many of you agree with me when I say I trust them more.
I stick to the well known names because I'm more convinced they won't go belly up either!

It's unfortunate that you're condemning all RTG casinos because of a few shady owners.
Well, I would argue that it’s more than a “few” shady owners.
But I do concede there are a few good RTG sites. However, out of all the popular gambling software packages on the market today, RTG Licensees seem to be the most problem plagued IMO. Check out the “OPA Statements” section at www.casinomeister.com; a large number of the listed problems concern RTG--Slow pay, no pay, blacklists, poor customer service. You name it and RTG sites have done it.
In addition read the threads here at winnersonline. A number of the posts concern problems with RTG sites.
If RTG wants to sell sites to everyone with a checkbook, that is their business; however, they need to realize the bad RTG sites will also tarnish the reputation of the good RTG sites.

Dirk...Slot idiots? hmmmm Well I think for graphics, Microgaming hands down for all games. Unfortunately, the VP there does not like me. I really start to cringe when I play it after a while because I keep losing. So I just dabble at the site, usually playing slots. RTG is my favorite for VP (although most of them don't have the full pay JorB. They now have the Bonus Deuces wild, Double Bonus Poker etc. Too bad their slots suck. I mean, c'mon, there site is really good but they are losing out on anyone who likes to break the action with slots. And even in "fun mode" I can hardly get more than a couple cherries.
Boss Media I don't even play at or Starnet due to the odds back on the VP. 7/5 for FH/FL. I don't think so. I think if they changed that, there would be a lot more people playing there. And they also only have a couple slots.(Boss) To be honest, I haven't found a casino that has it all yet, I am still searching. I know people don't like the ICRYSTAL casinos and personally, I delete... | | Read Entire Entry |

ALL Microgaming casinos do that, and always have. I enjoy it, tho!
I've never had a problem getting paid by the RTG casinos I play at, but I don't play at them all. It's unfortunate that you're condemning all RTG casinos because of a few shady owners.
Don't all the casino software programs have a few shady owners?

Weird thing about Orbital's VP. The payoff line would light up before you actually received your winning hand. For example, you hold 2 cards and draw 3 cards. But before your 3 new cards are drawn the pay line lights up and shows you've hit a "full-house". But this happens before receiving your 3K to go with your pair.
Kind of takes the suspense and fun out of the game.
THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THIS! I notice this at all microgaming casinos. This is the first time I ever saw somebody mention it, to my amazement.
I have cut a piece of construction paper to cover the payout table and tape it to the monitor when playing MG VP. I just keep it sitting there next to my computer until I play MG VP again. It used to drive me absolutely nuts when I was dealt a pat 3k then knew I had no shot at 4k before the cards were flipped.

I believe your right. I know that Cryptologic's VP is ery hard on the eyes--really almost unbearable, and I have good ision.
But with the new ersion of Microgaming, aren't there two screen modes? One for "full screen mode" and another for "Windows Mode"?
I use Windows mode, as I'm too cheap to buy a bigger monitor. If I remember correctly the VP at Orbital wasn't too bad (the cards were a bit small).

"Now when I say newest, I mean the ersion that Fortune Room and Orbital uses."
No, no , it is evil, eeeevillll!
It is part of the Master Plan to continue to shrink card faces for some unknown purpose (maybe to sell more laser eye surgery).
Yeah, that's it! Laser eye surgeons are investing in online casinos in droves!

I should mention that the newest ersions of Microgaming's software are almost everything I would want in an online casino.
Now when I say newest, I mean the ersion that Fortune Room and Orbital uses. The blackjack is much faster on this ersion than on the standard 32 bit ersion. You can also bet in $5 increments. On the old ersion you had to bet $2,$4 . . . or $10, $20 . . .
I didn't care for that much.
But . . . I don't trust their card games, and payment is somewhat of a problem. You have the Tropika and Golden Palace problem--could happen again, and probably will happen again.
And each site sends out their own checks, wires, Paypal blah, blah, blah. Some send Canadian checks in US dollars, and this causes problems. Other sites uses Proc Cyber. And still other sites are just plain befuddled and confused when it comes time to pay.
Really for ease of use and confidence of the games and payment, Boss Media is by far the best IMO(of course, you don't want to ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Actually, if you're just talking quality of software, user friendliness, ariety and quality of games, I would ote for Microgaming.
But if you factor in their funky card games, I can't give them the nod. For one, the BJ is painfully slow. For another, I doubt the card games are random.
Of all the software providers out there, I respect Boss Media the most. I think the card games are fair, and payment is ery, ery, ery rarely a problem. You play at a Boss site and win; you get paid--simple as that.
However, Boss's card games are a bit clunky and slow in my opinion. And they don't have a ery good slot selection--which is a big mistake. There are more slot idiots out there than other gamblers, and if you want to pick up the serious degenerate gamblers' money, you need to have lots and lots of slots.
BTW, I never touch the stuff myself.
Oh, and Boss has sh*tty ideo poker.
I also like Starnet. Great blackjack IMO, and again, payment isn't a problem. But the... | | Read Entire Entry |

I know people like T.O.Mary and Dirk-Dangerous have their own opinions on the Industry.
I was just curious to know, who really has the best software on the Market these days. I personally like Bossmedia cause MG frustrates me with some of their games.
Be it DLoad/ Flash, Java whatever. Say which you like and why you like it. Ought to make for an interesting thread...............
