Whether intentional or not, what I think happened with Casino Bar's blackjack game last August: just remove a few tens from the shoe. I logged several hundred hands after I was convinced that dealer did not draw tens often enough. The numbers came in with almost exactly what you would expect in a four deck game with the tens from only three decks. Put another way for the card counters out there, the count was always at minus 4. That would give the dealer a significant advantage and is ery difficult to prove.

Small cards on double down hands. Not all the time, but code the software so the double down card is drawn from a pool of cards weighted down with small cards s. large cards.

In essence the player will be drawing from a deck of cards with too few high cards, 10's, 9's & 8's. Sometimes the player will get a high card, but most often a small card.

BTW, my opinion is that this is one of the things Microgaming does in their BJ game.

Keep track of the number of small cards you receive on your doubled hands when playing Microgaming's BJ and you will see what I mean.

I won't go into all of the "what if's" and similar questions, because there are just too many potential methods of cheating, even though nearly all of them will be most unlikely to ever occur.

Instead, I'll leave you with one brief thought on a method of accepting cheating that was popular in the opening days of ideo poker popularity. Quite simply, the casino would remove one of the 10 cards out of the deck. We all know how much the royal flush weights the payout percentage of the game. Well, imagine if the royal flush was suddenly 25% less likely to occur, to say nothing of all the other hand combinations this 10 would have contributed to. I doubt that anyone does this any more, as it is considered cheating and is fairly easy to get caught at, but it does give you something to think about.

In blackjack one way to cheat players would be to screw them on doubles and splits, the two things that work in the players' favor. You wouldn't need to have the dealer win in every single circumstances, just a little more frequently than random chance would dictate. It would be difficult to spot because it would only count as one loss but the amount of money lost would be double (assuming a flat bet system).

Jorge made a comment that most people don't know how casinos would cheat. How would you do it? There has been a lot of speculation that it is done, how is it done.

VP is my game, this is what I would do. One card combination, say the 7&8 of clubs would be impossible if the 5 or Jack of clubs were present. Reduced straights, flushes, and st. flushes in that one suit. Would anyone ever notice?
