Here's an update on the Golden Comps situation.
They claim that I was playing at 2 casinos at the same time on 2 different computers and that both accounts were in my name. This is true as quite often both me and my wife play at the same time. It is a iolation of their rules for anybody but the account holder to play on an account, even with permission from the account holder. Since there was play at 2 sites at the same time, one of them couldn't be me.
The truth of the matter is no one but me has played on the Golden Comps account but that doesn't seem to matter, they're not paying. They cannot prove that anyone but me played on the account.
They said that they would abide by the ruling of the OPA. The OPA ruled in my favor. Steve talked to the manager, Paul Jergins and the indication was that they were going to pay. After a couple of weeks without seeing any money, Steve again contacted Jergins and was told that they are not going to pay.

grantt you are being an ass... Don has CLEARLY proven the alidity of his argument..
and it sounds like mary has only stated the truth...
I must say anyone who doesn't expect this kind of crap should quit bonus hunting.. When i wire 5000$ i expect to potentially lose it... that is.. have it stolen.. I don't play with money i can't afford to lose... Nearly All casinos are thieves... but there are a few good ones. None of them want us to win. I've recently been screwed on a couple promos... one causing me to lose about 400$ in bonus profits, another causing me to lose 500$ in my own deposit.. I'll chalk it up as a loss because the day before i made 1k on a deal.. Its the life of a speculator (or gambler when you lose)

Just wanted to clarify that you are not a player, but a casino industry marketer. It is on topic for the discussion as you are posting false information to justify an argument against a player getting paid winnings.

Grantt - I already pointed out the age of majority in California was 18 with a single exception.
http://www.calbar.org/2pub/3kids/4kids-01.htm - legal age of majority for MOST things is 18.

I did not have a problem here.. I am not out any money.. those were posts I copied from another board to show that this is not an isolated incident... But I wouldn't deposit a penny in this place no matter what kind of offer they sent me.. I might actually win and then Jergens will come up with another rule or two that he can impose to screw me, or anyone else who has the nerve to win at his casino..

grantt, you are wrong again.. it is 18 or 19 in many places.. and then why don't they say 21 in their rules and not of legal age in the jurisdiction you live in? Your wrong here grantt.. you give it a rest.. and what about the $8,000 complaint grantt??

SBGC, sounds like the "Main iolation" is that they owe you a bunch of money.
As far as this Paul guy, if he said the things that 19yr old states, who the heck would want to deal with someone like that.
I have no doubt that Dongambler fulfilled the requirements and was jerked around.
Moral of the story, I wouldnt touch this place with a 10ft pole.

I am an executive committee member of the OPA. I have had my own conversation with Paul. I have no complaint of my own to take anywhere.. I am just shedding light on this situation by showing it is not an isolated incident by any means. It seems that Paul Jergens is the latest thief to try to make up any excuse he can to steal winnings from players. And you can tell by the way he responds he is nothing but a jerk. Jergens also told the complaining person who started this thread he didn't care who he complained to or where he posted.

Thanks for the link. I read all the posts I could find relating to golden comps and there definitely appear to be mixed feelings towards this casino. This is by no means unusual. I remember the brouhaha that came of me posting a complimentary message about Casino Extreme.
I will say that I am a little troubled about the case of the 19-year old. I don't know what the legal age is, however, and I would guess - just a guess - that casinos would deny entry to anyone under 21 in the US (legal drinking age and all). In this case the casino would have to right not to pay the winnings as they no doubt have boilerplate language on their website which would provide fair warning.

"I started a new thread but I am so Pi.....!! A story from the real world:
I did the Golden Comps 100/100 (6d+6b)on BJ. When I was done, I had a profit of $ 186 and played a few rounds of roulette. Then I cashed in ....... or thought so.
They denied that I had wagered enough and that roulette was not part of the offer. However, one of their support people agreed with me, that it looked like I had wagered the required amount before playing the roulette.
In any case they stripped my account of the $ 86 and left the bonus for me to play (however this time 12 x over, bonus alone).
Again, I played BJ, 12 x over and was left with a profit of $ 92. In order not to make the same mistake again, I did send them a mail for erification that I had wagered enough to cash-in. And guess what the reply was:
Dear XXX,
Your account has been closed XXX for illegal wagering.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

I know about that 19-year-old case. I wonder if it has been resolved yet, but I pointed that guy to California statutes which clearly state that 18 is the age of majority in California except for specific instances such as alcohol consumption.
I wonder how Paul is going to deal with that one.

1. All GSS casinos of course.
2. Sci Fi casino..
3. Golden Comps.. I have been paid the two times I played there but I would NEVER trust this place again.
4. All G cash casinos..(Galaxy World, IVEGAS and Casinobeyond.
