Methinks HGN/i2corp bit off more than they could chew, and they probably realized it.
As far as I know, Dr. Ho's casino is still in operation. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

My question exactly, Jetset. Although the concept of their patent is rediculous, they have shown that they can enforce it internationally and get sites closed for good, so it's nothing to take lightly. And, of course, they rid us of First Live, so I will always be thankful for that.
However, I still have to question their patent. They basically came up with the idea of using the internet to wager on live events at remote locations, and then were able to get a patent on that intellectual property, effectively owning the ery idea/concept. HGN/i2Corp got ery lucky, as the internet was still new at the time and legislation had not yet began to change for it. Even a year after their patent was issued, they would not have been able to get it as Congress got wise to this scam and stopped issuing these types of patents, but because the one held by HGN was pre-existing, it is still alid.
