Grantt get your facts straight!

At the time when the OPA decided to approve Jetset and Magic Carpet, Tropika had a good track record in the industry and never stiffed a player. Although there were some customer service issues with several players at the middle of '99, right after the hurricane, these issues were eventually resolved. During most of 2000, Tropika substantially improved its customer service,
and earned credibility among players and industry experts alike.

I will quote directly from Bill Haywood's book, "BeatWebCasinos.com", (C)2000 RGE publishing:

One thing in particular they do not want thier brand name associated with is money laundering. David Prue of Tropika says they particulary worry about Russian mobsters who like to set up an eCasino, then lose $100,000 a week to themselves. The dirty money bet by "players" then comes out as honest winnings by the casino. Major software companies [i.e. Microgaming] do not want thier brand besmirche...

My only point on this matter is that the OPA has endorsed fraudulent casinos in the past. That it's ery unproffesional in my opinion to get paid to endorse sites on a watchdog site. I persoanally don't use the OPA or trust any sites of this nature. End of story.

This is about a stupid subject, but when Grantt is involved what do we expect?

First of all JETSET Casino was not listed on the bonus page of OPA. it was however still listed in the search funtion.

Of course only a stupid s h i t would think that because it was in the search funtion that somehow Brian was doing someting wrong or that the OPA was still endorsing Jetset Casino. They have now been removed from the search feature. .

Grantt, I do hope you get a life.

This is who I use. They seem to be a reseller for another casino but I guess that doesn't matter as long as you receive your money on time and don't have a lot of issues. I have collected twice and received my money fast($3500 and $2000). They also send out gifts(shirts, hats,etc.).

Thank you.

I asked OPA to check and they could not find it either. I will search again and have it removed when found - can you send a link to the page?

This is what grantt claimed btw:

"Jetset Casino has a promotion listed on the OPA site under casino bonuses. Enough said." Typical false post.

And I am still awaiting the detail on his accusations against the OPA and its President.

Still nothing to say, grantt?

You are obviously only good for false accusations and generally ignorant BS - I have searched all over the OPA site for this red herring Jetset Casino item you talk about and I can find nothing.

Maybe you should post a link so that it can be taken down - assuming that it is there at all. This is just another in a series of false posts from you, and your cred. as far as I am concerned has reached a new low.

Never mind the red herring, grantt - you know as well as I do that if anything like that is up on the OPA site it is many months old and is there merely due to an oversight following Jetset Casino's fall from OPA grace long ago and consequent demise.

So, now that you're here sniping again why not answer the above questions? Probably won't, because yet again you are talking through your criminally uninformed hat.

Absolutely true providing the approach is fair and both sides have the opportunity to know they are being accused, who the accuser is, what they are being accused of and what their response is.

You will notice that grantt has again not substantiated the allegations he makes against Adkins and the OPA casinos. This is his s.o.p. unfounded sniping.

I ask again. Grantt - to which OPA recommended casinos are you referring in your diatribe above and provide the details of these "monthly payments" you accuse Steve of taking for placing casinos on the OPA recommended list?

It's time to put up or shut up.

And Grant, just what do you do for the benefit of the online gaming community?

Once you get a casino that is OPA approved we will talk banner prices, but to share them with you is a waste of my time.

The complaint about casino extreme has to do with the player receiving bonuses. It is the right of the casino to not accept any customer they choose not to accept. As long as the player gets paid there is no complaint. Maybe they could word their letters a little better as not to call someone a bonus abuser.
Show me where Casino Extreme has ripped off a player?
Bonuses, that is always the complaint. Casino extreme has normally resolved any complaint we have received about them.

Just because someone complains does not make it a alid complaint. By the way this player was paid in full and then the account was closed.

A typically uninformed and unpleasant comment yet again grantt - you are unreal. The first question is exactly what has Steve or for that matter the OPA done to "trying to make your supposedly old outfit reputable again after several complaints"?.

My ten percent interest in Jetset was surrendered some time ago as there was a conflict of interest because I was one of those most publicly critical of the actions of the management and spent a great deal of time often unpleasantly chasing them on behalf of aggrieved players. Yes Steve has gone to bat for players that felt they were unfairly treated and has been successful. Fair enough to judge/criticise his approach, reasoning, etc, but I agree with Jetset that he's one of the few decent selfless people in this whole online gambling scene. Ah, grantt always those poorly thought out and provocatively phrased posts...you are consistent if ill-informed.

Factor X to automatically assume, which seems to be what you are doing in your relentless criticism of the OPA, that an organization which accepts advertising by companies which are on the face of it fair and just implies dishonesty is plain silly.

What are you trying to say? That everyone connected with CasinoGazette and perhaps OPA oluntary committee members are corrupt and no longer have player interests as a priority because legitimate companies are advertising on OPA property?

The complainers regarding Casino Extreme are not in the majority from what I can see, and there does not appear to be any imputation of dishonesty in the complaints. Those who are upset seem to me to be distressed about being locked out on the bonus issue, and locked out in a brusque and unacceptable manner. That is something which the casino needs to take on board and sort out but it is ...

Sites may come along once in a while and pretend to be online casino regulators but they are not. The so-called watch dog sites always eventually show their true colors and I think the OPA's may have just been exposed. How can a self-proclaimed watch dog site advertise a casino with numerous player complaints. There has never been a single watchdog site that has not gone the route of the advertising dollar. They then get exposed and have to close down. I would say poke you with a fork I think you’re done. It's time to close the doors and pop up under a different name down the road.

I'd just like to say that I won a lot more for weeks at the beginning and didn't redeposit, and Extreme still treated me well, LOL! In fact with my first win, they were the FIRST RTG casino to let me withdraw without faxback/ID because of my previous experience of spending all-nighters trying to get through by fax with big bill. So I see them as being EXTREME(ly)customer friendly TO ME! I am not saying that all others have received the same treatment.

As said, I do empathise with those who have had hassles as I too get hopping mad when ignored or treated badly.

However, months ago when I seemed to be the only one waiting for weeks for faxback acknowledgements and delayed payments from Vegas Strip, I did NOT take issue with the huge majority who posted they had no trouble whatsoever at that time, as no casino ever has 100% satisfied customers because of the ariation in standard of staff.

Of course they hate winners. Hell, I hate losing. It works both ways. Gambling is a zero-sum game. Someone ends up happy and someone ends up pissed. Nature of the business.

That said.....

I am up nicely there and I have received almost all my winnings. One check was somehow lost but the problem appears to have been resolved and once a tracking number is given to me that will be the end of that glitch.

Any business has the right to refuse service and if they think you are a bonus abuser then I am sorry to tell you that you are SOL.

I don't know why they don't have phone service but their responsiveness to my questions and concerns has always been fast and better than most places WITH phone service.

The bottom line is that they have the right to shut you off at any time as long as they pay what you are owed.

Coming here to gripe about it is IMHO a waste of everyone's time.

I've been reading this thread with interest (and btw Colly I support your right to express a different and genuinely held iew)

Surely Zrapture and Trader have captured the essence of the thing when they say that the casino handled the matter badly? It seems to me that even those affected directly by the lock-out decision accept the casinos right of admission?

It could be (yes, I know it shouldn't be but it could be) inexperienced or barely multilingual Support operators and that's why it is always worth the trouble of escalating an issue as high as you can go in a casino dispute.

It's not smart to handle clients in this way and they will clearly pay the price for it. As Trader says:

"Good business sense would dictate offering fewer promotions to good players and more to bad players. Rudeness is always bad business because it rarely stays a secret. Now hundreds of gamblers and potential customers have another reason to play elsewhere."

This place didn't do anything nearly as bad as Golden Palace or Magic Oasis. They didn't steal anyones money, they were just extremely rude.
In my case they were one of my favorites, I played there four times, winning over $300 three times. The thing that bothered me was they didn't inform me I was locked out. For the first day or so I kept trying to log in thinking there was a server problem. Then I emailed them and the entire context of their response was " Your account has been locked due to bonus abuse." I had to email again for a further explanation.

IMO they aren't the worst casino around, but they are far, far from the best.

Dittos to everything Trader just said.

The Golden Palace situation was far worse, and if anyone here is interested, they can go into the ARTICLES section here at WinnerOnline, and read "Analysis of The Golden Palace Scandal" by Brian Cullingworth.
Brian did an outstanding job putting everything into perspective. Players were sent promos on a regular basis. These players followed ALL of Golden Palace's terms/conditions. Then they cashed out. And Golden Palace literally stole these players winnings. These players were labeled bonus abusers, even though they followed all the rules. Golden Palace cheated Trader and James out of a lot of $$$.

Casino Extreme is different. They paid every penny owed to the players PRIOR to the lockout. Casino Extreme has every right to lock these players out, just as any casino does. It does NOT make good business sense to do this, especially based on the detailed scenario DonGambler lists above. But it is thier right. They lived up to thier end...

Rudeness is always bad business because it rarely stays a secret. Now hundreds of gamblers and potential customers have another reason to play elsewhere.

Saying that this is worse than Golden Palace is an emotional overreaction. What Casino Extreme did to you was what Colosseum Casino did to me last year, but it is their right. Colosseum was one of the first online casinos I tried and I played there only three times, always with a small bonus. They locked my account, but paid every cent due me and paid promptly. My situation at Golden Palace was better then Extreme. Golden Palace told me I could not play anymore bonuses after winning there but I was welcome to play at any other time. Extreme just locked my account and when I inquired I was told "the account was closed because of bonus abuse." period. no further explaination. I played more at Extreme without collecting a bonus then I did at Golden Palace. Extreme's method of kicking people out is offensive. They are insinuating that I did something wrong when in fact I did not. I played by their rules and at their invitation. They sent me the bonus offers I did play and invited me to play them. We have discussed many times before about how casinos, instead of barring people should just direct their promotions to the individual players of whom the casino wishes to receive them. Sounds like that's what Extreme is doing here, allowing you to play without a bonus. Whether you're play is considered bonus abuse is subject to debate. One casino will consider it abuse while another won't. Whose opinion matters the most in this instance is Casino Extreme's.

Comparing Extreme to Golden Palace is unfair. At least Extreme is paying what you have in your account, unlike GP that just confiscated whatever was in your account.

Vick and Colly, You both have the right to post your own experiences here about this casino. I don't disagree with that at all. Your playing patterns and Vick's continuous redepositing of withdrawls are probably exactly what any casino looks for. What they don't like are disciplined players who win.

Here is my history at Extreme as best as I can remember it.

Played new player bonus, won and got a check for a $100 or so.

Was going to play a ideo poker bonus but after playing a while I was down over $200. I then had a good hit which brought me up a couple hundred and stopped and cashed out. Received check.

Sent a bonus offer and played it in blackjack. Had one of my best RTG Blackjack runs ever turning the bonus and play into a win of over $1,200 after exceeding the bonus requirements.

Went back and played even more on it to give them more play. Took the $1,200 up to $1,700 and then back to $1,200. Cashed out and received check.
