Amateur Sleuth, It crossed my mind that this result might belong to a friend. You're correct I didn't know this was available in real mode only. I never thought this might be a fake and that is a mis-interpretation of what I said.
1.6K is good but the 75K is a real bummer.

Amateur Sleuth,
No it is not like playing three different slots, betting one or two coins feeds the progressive pot on the same % as a three coin bet. You hit top prize betting two congrats.
Question? Were you flat betting two or changing bets by pattern or "intuition"?
Your screen shot makes a great back ground.

I've got 3 jackpot simbols lined up twice within a month in RagstoRiches (Cryptologic) only to see how the jackpot pointer hand stops at $25 (one move from $411K) and $10.
I felt ery rich for a few moments once I saw three jackpots for the first time as I didnt know about additional requirements. lol

so they do line up after all!!! that's my favorite game of all the progressives and i've never seen three of those in the same line. yup, i believe you're out $75 big ones!!! i've hit progressive jackpots in land-based casinos but not yet online. oh, yeah my first non-progressive jackpot was the three lions' head lined up for $12,500 at a casino. i got hooked afterwards and lost them all plus a lot more after several months of playing. take it from me - ALWAYS PLAY MAX BETS!!!

Woody,
What do you mean? If indeed this is my result? Apparently you don't know that you can only play this game in "Real Mode". I'm not sure how I could fake this, nor would I try, what would be the point?
I really want to know whether machines pay separate schedules depending on whether 1,2 or 3 coins are played, on a given spin.
As I stated above, I already know that I could only get the JP with a $3 bet. It's true that I did not win $75k, but I did win $1600, which isn't bad.

Yup, always play max coins if there is a bonus payoff, in this case it is applied to the cash splash symbol only.
In real life the RNG is triggered by the timing of coin drop or hitting the spin button. If irtual machines are similar you can console yourself by saying that if you had switched to 3 coins the timing difference would have caused you to miss the Jackpot lineup if indeed this is your result.
Of course with a ariable internet delay factored in, who knows.
If you play slots don't do this again .

If you'd been playing 3 coins and lined this win up you would have won the progressive jackpot of $75,000+
However, the question is: would you have got this win if you were playing 3 coins.
Maybe you would have lost your bankroll before this happened if you were playing 3 coins.
Maybe you would have played slightly slower (or faster).
There are a 1000 things that could have made the game play different if you were playing 3 coins, and then you might not have hit this win when you did. Or maybe you would have hit 2 jackpots playing 3 coins - it's impossible to say.
I'm trying my best with probability, if's, and but's to soften the blow - but you would have won a LOT more with 3 coins if you had lined up this win

For the sake of my emotional stability, someone please answer this question: Is a three coin machine, like playing three separate machines, with three separate payout percentages?
The reason I ask is this: (see image below)
http://www.theapage.com/index.html
If I had played $3 instead, would the outcome have been different?
