They will have some competition - there are at least two other retail casino packages out there, one from Microsoft. Having said that I think that Chris Stacey is right in his assertion that the Venetian branding will be a big advantage.

I think what they mean is casino software for home, fun use. They will sell the software and the customer can host his or her own casino for friends online.
Which raises some pretty weird possibilities, if you think about it.

In the news today - The Venetian has commissioned ISC to provide a retail online casino:
``ISC's complete collection of gaming software along with The Venetian's strong brand and its inherent ability to create a compelling gaming atmosphere will make this software product one of the best available on the market,'' stated Chris Stacey, Internet Marketing Manager of The Venetian.
The Venetian's Retail Product
The finished Venetian product will include over 35 casino games from table games such as Black Jack, Craps, and Roulette to Video Poker machines and Slot machines. Every player of The Venetian product will have the option of playing multiplayer online with several other people, or by his or herself offline.
On the table games, the player will have the option to customize the ``skins'' or looks of the table while they are playing their game. The player will be able to choose from 5 different skins The Venetian and ISC have created.
