I also carried this post on another forum which turned up an important fact not mentioned in the news broadcast. These two guys were actually the former owners of the book, so those of you who have accounts there: don't worry. lol. Thought I should come back and add that.

The fact that our government can be so good in some ways, and then turn around and be so wrong in others, truly hurts me.
As I've stated in other threads, a "free" American should have the right to do what he/she pleases with their own money. This SHOULD go without saying.
More exactly: A person should have the right to do what he/she wants, as long as what they choose to do does not directly iolate the rights of another.
We are living in the dark ages with regard to this. Just like with prohibition of alcohol, if they insist on legislating away the will of the American people we all will suffer the consequences.
Why will there be consequences?
(Like an increase in organized crime, inflated tax spending on pointless / ineffective enforcement, increased problem gambling, etc?)
Because the approach of “criminalizing” non-criminal behavior iolates a greater law (Human rights.) And there is no escaping the consequences of that infraction.

This was really more appropriate in the sportsbook forum, but I thought it might be of interest to some of you in here.
