Yep, all the manufacturers who supply slot machines in Nevada are not going to imperil their gaming licenses by supplying online slot machines/designs/themes.

I was surprised to see that some of the copyrighted table games have been licensed to online software firms; but not many; and the majority of Spanish 21, War, Caribbean Stud, and all the multiplay ideo pokers are in iolation of the intellectual property rights of their respective inventors.

IGT will defend their ip, I know, because I ratted out gamblingsoftware.com for offering infringing slot themes that also infringed upon licensed entertainment product that IGT was paying for--Wheel of Fortune and Addams Family. (insert appropriate service, marks, trademarks, reserved symbols here)

In my opinion, it's only a matter of time before IGT(as per contract with Action Gaming) goes after Microgaming for Power Poker; Masque Publishing goes after gss for Spanish 21; and so on. Wilful infringement can bring a treble judgement....

The reason those arent online is because the company that builds these machines (IGT- International Gaming Technologies) would have to give their blessing I believe. I think they may be waiting to see what happens with online gambling in the US legally.

If it is completely legalized, then the land based big boys will start online casinos and then is when i believe we will see Double and Triple Diamonds, Red, White and Blue, 5 Times Pay and others.

Regarding the paytables online, most of these slots have similar paytables to land casinos. For example, Double Diamonds has a top jackpot of 800 coins (playing one coin) and a second high payoff of 80coins for 3 red sevens.

The gap between top and second best is usually higher if the jackpot symbols are mulptipliers (2x,3x,5x,10x).

I have played online slots in a major number of casinos. My favorite for most realistic looking and playing are casinos using Microgaming software. These casinos are also more solid and reliab...

It would be nice, while were at it to see some Double and Triple Diamond, as well as some 5 and 10x pay too.

Thanks for your reply Spearmaster. I didn't really think about the copyright issue.

I'm guessing that Microgaming casinos normally offer the most slots?

I must not have been lucky enough yet to hit one of those places with a fairly decent payback. Most of the time I'm feel like I'm playing in Atlantic City with dreadful payback, if any.

Believe it or not, there are slot machines on the Net which have better payout schedules than those in Vegas. But remember of course that slots can be set to arious levels of "tightness" in Vegas - while online, some providers have control over all of the machines of their franchisees, so that the payout schedule should be the same throughout the system.

I wouldn't necessarily say that online casinos cater to the table game players more. Slots are the biggest money earner both online and in Vegas - and any casino that didn't try to attract slots play would be making a mistake.

RWB is not online because there's a copyright issue involved. No "real" copies of slots are available online for real play, though wagerworks.com has the Odyssey machines online for fun.

Sometimes when I don't want to think (ala Blackjack or even VP, I enjoy churning a few $ into slots.

However, I've noticed that there is a significant difference between the next to highest payout and the "big banana" in most of the places I've isit for real and in demo ersion.

Couple of examples (all on one coin played):
Second highest payout = 250 coins, Highest = 1000 coins
Another: Second highest: 80 coins. Highest: 1000.

I know online casinos are not Vegas, but I do wish that there were some more Vegas like payoff schedules out there. Red/White/Blue comes to mind as one of them I like to play.

For those of you more in the know than I, is this due to the fact that online casinos really cater to more of the table game player and not the slot players?
