Play these frequently. Must wager 4.5X(D+B). Usually play $1 VP - it goes fast. Deposits returned to PayPal within a week.

I used to play these guys on a regular basis last year, but despite having a net loss at their casino, GR stopped sending me promotions. I guess they don't like losing players Maybe the felt I had a gambling problem
I never had any problems with them myself, but I've seen enough credible reports to say they have a spotty record when it comes to payment, credits back and customer service. Bottom line, there are better places to play.

A friend has won 5 times on their regular bonuses, but he's having a helluva time getting paid. They sent him a Can. bank check despite asking them to send US bank check, and they haven't paid or answered six emails.
I also went up each time playing blackjack and could have always withdrawn winnings, but stupidly didn't!

I played at the Golden Riviera
back in June, got the bonuses
about 4 times. I did quite well there,
found the V.P. games ery loose.
I Had to wait 58 day's for a $400 check,
and 23 day's to have $90 put back on my
Visa card.
I have not played there since because of
the unreasonable delay in payment.

I have been playing the little bonuses that this casino is always offering. But of all the Microgaming places I play, this place is definitely my "nemesis", and I usually bust out before I make the 5x qualification.
I suppose there had to be one place where my luck would be awful. But just curious, has anyone done well with these little bonuses?

I have found out that it was the owner of the Golden Riviera himself, Manual Frank, who posted my personal information. There is a post on another board at bj21.com that they are not paying another player too. He has also been waiting since may for a payout.
If you took the time to look at my e-mail exchange I posted with Golden Riviera you will see that in the e-mail in earlyn to mid June, which I was not getting any responses from, I was already telling them I had at that point sent 3-4 previous e-mails with no response. This place had NO phone support and e-mail was the only means of contact. Only after making treats to post info and file OPA complaints did he respond.

I just checked the IGC (that is the "real" IGC site which GRC Support just gave us) and I don't see GRC listed as a member? Perhaps they are listed as another company? If they thought they were covered by Tropika/Online Commerce listings I don't see them either, and in any event Tropika's membership would not cover a casino not owned by them.
Next up, Mary raises a good point. If this Dominican licencing was ia Tropika/Online Commerce they don't have one. According to the OPA that licence expired and was not renewed a year ago.
And those servers? Where are they?

Not a ery wise move, Manuel. Not a wise move at all.
Keep us posted, Don.
Oops! I'm supposed to be a Microgaming shill! Oh well... perhaps that explains why my complaints seem to have done an injustice to Jim Redman's former casino.
Back to the matter at hand. This is totally inexcusable. As Mary correctly points out you had better be working ery hard on revamping your customer service instead of pointing out membership with an organization.
To the best of my knowledge GR does NOT have its own membership with IGC.
I suggest you get your brains in gear. You are lucky to have gotten away from Tropika, but that does not excuse you from having to deal with customers in a professional manner.

Hm. If I were working at Golden Riviera Casino right now, I'd be working on the Mother of all Apologies for the customer who now has to change his banking information and worry about fraudulent withdrawals from the entire planet, after sending me banking information I claim I didn't get so I could hang onto his money for an extra few weeks, and I posted it...
instead of defending my membership in the IGC and contravening their Code of Conduct.

Here is a letter I just got from the persons who "claims to represent the owners" of Golden Riviera.
"Dear Donald,
I refer to e-mail dated the 26th of June - we were still waiting for your
bank details which you failed to give us!!
Why put the blame on us, when you failed to supply us with your bank details
when you were contacted for them? I'm forwarding you the e-mail dated that
date - I don't think you're being fair here
Regards,
Manuel"
I failed to give them my bank details?? What the hell was that they posted here? What a group of idiots.. the full story to come.

Oh my god, I can't believe they did that.. posted my name, bank, ABA number and even the god damn account number on here... and then they apologize and say I am to blame??
They have owed me over $1,000 for nearly two months now. I will post details of this as soon as I have access to my records. The last straw came when they said they sent a wire on June 27 and I would receive it in 4-5 business days. I checked today, 7 BUSINESS DAYS LATER, and nothing. They are the ones lying and I will post all the details later. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

These people are nothing but liars. They told me 8-9 days ago that the wire for my winnings had been sent and I would receive it in 4-5 days. It has not been recieved. They returned funds to my account for no reason instead of sending the full payment, which I doubt they sent anyway. They are showing the signs of going broke. Watch out for this place.

The fact that GR is still operating efficiently by all accounts despite the Tropika operation being closed down by Microgaming for their sins I think indicates that GR is now totally independent of the Tropika taint.

yep, I just started playing there again recently. They seem fair and trustworthy. Haven't had great luck there though. Got paid when I won (all back to cc due to prior losses.) I wonder how the Tropika mess effected them. A lot of people might have stayed away because of it.

A sleuth, amateur or otherwise, should not have difficulty finding things!
BUT...I will give you a hint if you promise not to tell anyone else. Others reading this letter, remember that you are honor bound to stop reading NOW!
First off, there are two articles: You only have to find one of them.
Both of them are sandwiched in between the satires which feature Kathy, the customer support rep on the lookout for love and money (assuming it comes in a single package).

Can you tell me which article it is though?

I am a little embarrassed.
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote in saying that Golden Riviera has a good record at Gambling Grumbles. When I wrote that letter, I had no connection at all with GR (other than being a customer) and no plans of having any.
Since that time, Golden Riviera decided to have a "Wilde $1000 GiveAway" in which my Gambling.com satires play a big part.
I just want to set the record straight: I am NOT employed by Golden Riviera nor am I getting paid anything for this contest. Hence, my recommendation of them is still an unbiased one (although I readily agree that it might not appear as such).
You will just have to take my word for it that not only do I have good experiences at GR, but I would not have allowed them to use my name, picture, or satires if I wasn't completely satisfied with their fairness and service.

Golden Riviera is not listed on Gambling Grumbles, which means one of three things:
1. No complaints have ever been filed against it.
2. If a complaint did come in, it was an extremely routine matter that was quickly settled.
3. A complaint may have come in quite recently and is still being handled.

Well, I have played many, many times at Golden Riviera, and winning a lot (more than $5000). I have participated in their promos and in their auctions (the last time I played was with the StPatricksDay promo).
They have always paid me promptly, checks NEVER bounced and wire transfers were done correctly. Furthermore, the client service is excellent.
I can only say good thing about Golden Riviera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and I do not work there).

For the record I have always made a clear distinction between GR and the Tropika casinos.
As you say, they share the same ery good 24/7 Support and have a seperate ownership but my understanding (and I am open to correction)is that the marketing and money is also seperate.
I have not played there but it seems to be a sound operation.

I deposited $200 at GoldenRivieraCasino (GRC) in Late February this year. The next day heard Jetsets radio show mentioning Tropika and GRC in the same sentence. Worried me. Then found that moneytour listed them as Tropika. Very Worried.
But OPA Mary set me straight - they only share a customer service contractor. I cashed out over $400 recieved check for winnings ONE week later. Thumbs up for GRC.
