Jondo,
Thanks for helping me out with the GameMasters site. I guess I didn't want to come on here looking like I was bashing every site I had isited and honestly thought I had overlooked something. I had been meaning to e-mail the GM and ask him to shed some light on his payouts of GP...just hadn't gotten around to doing so.
Caruso, I think being called a bastard was a compliment..thanks..The problem is once you see a couple of Royals it seems like forever before they make their appearance again.
Good luck to all and I really do enjoy this board.

DonGambler,
your comment:" You mean the "Informative Posts of Don the Gambler" don't you? And as far as credibility I have more you ever will have when it comes to on-line gambling. Your only credibility comes from looking at pay schedules at arious on-line casinos and then plugging them into Win Poker to determine the percentage of payout. Beyond that you have ery little to no knowledge of the on-line gambling industry."
Could you go into detail some? What areas of online gaming are you talking about, E-Cash, fraud control, basic strategies, kelly betting? I don't understand.

"The emotionally-charged posts of "Don the Gambler" had absolutely nothing to do with this decision, as I find him to be a person of little gumption and zero credibility.
I recognize this board has a long-running love affair with Don, but his bashing of
SciFi and other casinos has been, in my iew, a misrepresentation of the facts."

Mary,
I removed SciFi from our site on the basis that I had a confirmed report they were paying in installments; subsequently, a credible player confirmed this specifically to me.
This in no way changes my perspective that the people there are honest; it simply reflects the fact that I've confirmed they are having trouble making payments and thus may well be experiencing financial difficulties. It is important to point out that while I have now received this confirmation, I have received many more reports of timely payouts from SciFi than I have indications of problems.
While it isn't within our site's scope to evaluate the honesty of casinos, when there is credible evidence of payment problems we won't ignore it. I cannot begin to recount the hundreds of clients I have served over the years who were honest people who found themselves in difficult financial straits. I believe that a serious evaluation of the honesty of a casino requires a broad examination of both financial ac... | | Read Entire Entry |

You have been ery good in naming sites except this one reputable one. Why is that? What's your agenda? If you won't I will. lol Gamemaster has got to get off his butt and update that stuff. Let him know. He posted months ago he was going to get it done.

Not everyone assumes a new poster is a shill. But there are many “new” posters who do come here for the explicit reason of shilling/spamming a site. However, their efforts are usually embarrassingly transparent.
For what it’s worth, your post above seemed genuine, and I urge you to keep contributing.

DonG, I figured when you saw my post and registration date you would assume I was trying to plug VPR and Sci-Fi. I've been reading this board daily for a little over a month and it seems to me that almost anyone who is a "new poster" is considered suspect if they say something that conflicts with the general opinions of the regular posters....The biggest reason I had not registered or posted until yesterday. So, it took me by no surprise with your response to my post. Part of me understands this, as several boards are hounded by spammers.
All I was trying to do, was post my "honest" experiences with a few on-line casinos that utilize different software. I wasn't trying to dish microgaming as I have had good luck with one of the fortune casinos who have given me over $600 in casino cash over the last month. The deal with CCooks may have been a fluke, but it was ery frustrating to be told one thing by a CS rep...and then something else with another. We only had to wait a litt... | | Read Entire Entry |

I started playing the $ deuces like everyone else and continued in the slo-mo mode until it drove me crazy. Then I found that their Aces& Eights game was paying 9 for the fh. I played that hard until they caught on. I ended up playing pickem, bonus deuces, and royal court. I know, I know, but I was beating them on the ariance (for awhile).
My comp money was averaging over $300/month so I'm guessing at least 2-300,000 hands maybe a bit more. I had huge swings, also more than expected # of royals

Caruso,
Funny thing about experiences. I did rather well with the VP at Global Player. It is the only place ever I had back to back deuces. Many Royals even 2 in a day twice. I played there hard though and had some horrible swings, but did cash out well above expectation. I was sorry to see it go.

Hi Caruso,
The comment about Captain Cooks is news to me! We've always managed to get paid promptly by them.
I don't know if you still play there, but if you ever have any problems getting paid within a reasonable amount of time, please let us know.
Since we cannot have the experience of all players, information like that is ery helpful. (This stands for anyone having this type of problem.)

CJ56 - I'd concur with everything you say; Global Player used to offer Full Pay Deuces Wild (a game that absolutely clobbered me), but they subsequently removed it, and most of the pay tables are now rip-offs. From reports I've read about individuals' experiences at both the BJ table and the DW game, I have my doubts about this place. To the best of my knowledge, the only remaining positive EV VP games are to be found at Sci Fi, although at the $0.25 level they're hardly worth playing for the EV alone; if you won $500 bonus-less, that's some achievement. You're payment-speed experiences also reflect my own, although I haven't played there for a month or so now.
Yes, Capt. Cooks are just about the slowest paying MG out there.

Figured this would work well in this thread too:
Jetset, CasinoNow, HK (and everybody else for that matter.)
Nobody in their right mind will pay any attention to what Play9 has to say.
By responding to him, you only give access to what he wants (the ability to respond with more ulgarity and Jr. High innuendo.)
Right now, he is probably sitting in front of his computer hitting the "refresh" button every 30 seconds or so, desperately waiting for somebody to acknowledge his existence.
Although it is not easy, the best medicine for somebody like this is to simply ignore him.
As the hours, days, and weeks pass; the truly pathetic nature of his life will reveal itself.
Ideally, Max (and all boards for that matter) should have some kind of "ignore" feature that allowed adults to "turn off" the emotionally challenged rantings of people like Play9.
In addition, whenever Play9 (or somebody of his caliber) post... | | Read Entire Entry |

I want to thank Mr. Staw for the OCMA site going blank.

Sensible posts, Jerry - particularly the overview of credit card progression and the points it makes regarding the OCMA.
I believe Vegas Lobby's abrasive advice to Michael Staw should be disregarded as yet another attempt to destroy a legitimate discussion on this board.
There may be pros and cons regarding the manner in which RTG has handled its licencees in the past, but Mr. Staw deserves credit for coming here at an explosive time and interacting with the players in a courteous manner.
The 64 thousand dollar question is what Mr. Staw and his company will come through with in the immediate future. That will be the final arbiter in this discussion.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this message, but because it deals with RTG I figured I would give it a try.
I am new to online gambling, just a couple of months. Like anything else I involve myself in, I want to learn as much I can. I enjoy playing BJ and VP and ended up here along with several other recommended sites...(sites who are sponsored by people that post here regularly).
I came across ideopokerreview and because I really enjoy VP signed up at Sci-Fi. They definitely have the best payouts on their machines. I won a little under $500 dollars and my cashin was approved and received in less than 1 week. After I had signed up and started playing, I came across this site and was ery apprehensive about getting paid at all. Maybe I was lucky, but I didn't have any problems. Granted it wasn't a large sum of money and I will continue to play there with caution, because of what I have read on this board. It is my favorite software for VP.

VL,
You are the only person I have heard crying about any bonus in these threads, with the exception of your alter-ego, which repeated crying about $5 bonuses. That has nothing to do with this subject, yet you attempt to make it so, and while all at the same time complaining that people are "changing the subject". Other than your posts, all I see is a group of rightfully concerned players asking questions of someone who has openly put himself in the position to answer them. I must also add that he is at least doing so in an appropriate manner, which is much more than you have, so don't be suprised if he gets different results. For someone who Knows so much about the industry, you seem to be seriously lacking in knowledge about players in general, particularly in player relations.

Another issue on the relation between RTG and the licensees. RTG, I am curious...who does the web development for your licensees? While I licensee can always do this themselves if they choose to do so, it is generally accepted that the software provider does this function, or in the absence of doing it themselves will at least review the content before it goes live.
A review of threads here from the time will show that from the first day Magic Oasis opened they were misleading players. You will find notes false player testimonials, one saying how quickly they had received the $25,000 they won, which was impossible on the first day of operations. Another misleading statement was a huge amount of wagers processed listed, which again, was rediculous for the first day of operations for this casino.
Now, whether it was you or them who constructed it, it was deceptive and misleading advertising. Even if you did not develop the html yourself, as someone who is applying your name and seal (not... | | Read Entire Entry |

This theology is a farse, and I'm suprised that someone in such a prominant position, with so much player data to draw conclusions on, would buy into it.
To begin with, the company you are using to process transactions controls an individual, more industry specific, negative card database of players who charge back. It is up to you to set the permissions for how these requests will be processed.
Similar to that, when it goes up the chain to the credit card gateway, there will be another negative database for all cards that go through that gateway. Again, it is up to your processing company to determine how these requests are handled. Most only block stolen cards, leaving the charge back issue to be a risk each of their clients faces individually.
Then, once it gets to the players bank, there is yet another negative card database. This one is mainly set up for blocking compromised card purchases, but also keeps charge back records as well.
Now, with this triple protect... | | Read Entire Entry |

Thanks for sharing that information Fairbet. It helps me confirm that my figures are still somewhat accurate. I think a charge back here and there is bound to happen just from the law of averages/statistics, but it should be a rare occurrance, especially with the sophisticated negative use databases implemented by the credit card gateways. If a group is experiencing more than a few here and there, it is most likely because of:
1. They are genuinely cheating players, or at least not given a quality level of entertainment for the costs, which results in disgruntled players charging back and using the funds elsewhere.
2. Someone in the chain is a liar and a theif, and is skimming off the top.

I am new to online gambling. I have a B.S. in General Business and will tell all the executives at RTG that this kind of "negative" publicity from REAL-LIVE actual players is costing your company new customers. I enjoy the game of bacarrat, but will not waste my time or money patronizing one of your casinos.
I say this to your executives, not to be malicious or anything, but you guys should realize that "word-of-mouth" advertising is the BEST kind of advertising in an industry as corrupt and potentially devastating as gambling. My money is important to me as should your reputation should be to you.
