'gaijinsan'

I'm stealing this line and can't give attribution but, 'Amen to that!'

How about a casino posting this line in their T&C's:

'Bonus Hunters with conscience: Please do not play our casino with the intent of exploiting our bonus program alone! If you are a candidate for future play without benefit of bonus, please feel free to participate in our bonus offer. If not, please pass!'

A 'cautionary' disclaimer of this kind would not prevent the hardcore hustlers from taking advantage but this request would persuade a 'few' to be fair. Not asking for fairness is a certain path to not receiving same.

From what I have read, the profit margin is higher at online casinos because the overhead is lower. Consider the land casino competition. Free meals, free drinks, free hotel rooms, free matchplays, free show tickets, free plane tickets, free just about anything. Let's not forget that you get paid the same day. They don't even require that you lose to get this stuff.
How can an online casino compete with that, without free bonus money? What else is it that they have to offer that is superior to land casinos? What is it about an online casino that can draw customers other the convenience of livingroom playing?
It is like crossing from the Mer Griffin to tha Taj. The one that gives the best comps is the one I play at. After all, the games are the same. BJ is BJ. Why should it be any different online?

I gambled for years with British Bookies at minus 9% tax on top of the overround.I never got a sausage as a bonus

I never got a sausage either, but Intertops once sent me a certificate good for one free pizza It was the highlight of my day.

I gambled for years with British Bookies at minus 9% tax on top of the overround.I never got a sausage as a bonus and nor could i believe Casino's online were offering 100% matches.Sure, the bonuses attracted me,but no way will i stay without them.I'd rather go back to the horses for my gambling.Bonuses should'nt be needed to attract proper gamblers.Proper gamblers will find you if you have what they want.I do not consider myself a proper gambler, before someone kindly points that out to me.However can i be anyway?I am winning as it stands.

gaijinsan,

I agree 100% with you.

The statement you posted in your
last sentence; "If they don't want bonus hunters, then don't offer a damn bonus!"
is something I've been saying for at least
the past year.

Yes, there are players that take advantage
of bonuses. In spite of the many problems that these bonuses have caused, the casino's continue to "pump 'em out". It seems they all feel that without offering bonuses,
they will lose all their players.
Pretty poor logic, as these "bonus whores"
are exactly the type of players that they
are trying to exclude.

Why don't they "wise up", change the whole format of bonuses, and concentrate on offering good customer service, prompt payouts, and a selection of games that
are random and fair. The players would
stay loyal, and everyone would be happy.

Yeah, like that will ever happen!!

Still, it's a bull**** way of running a business!

Those bonuses are there to entice people to try their casinos. I'm sure that bonus hunters are in the minority and that there are plenty more that lose their own money than those who just cash out the bonus after playing through. But from everything I'm reading here and other places, it seems that the casinos aren't happy with that. They want EVERYBODY to lose more than the bonus.

That's not the way it works. Even in an honest game, casinos lose money to some players and make money on others. The bottom line is that they take more than they give out, and that's how they make their money.

I really can't figure out why someone who has gone through all the trouble of acquiring licenses, obtaining the software, etc., etc, etc... would rather do a hit-and-run on players than to just play a fair game. They will all make oodles of money over time!!! A legitimate business like that, man, I wish I had the investment capital. And I coul...

while he is not a bonus abuser, the fact remains that we HAVE to play by the casinos rules as long as this industry remains unregulated, so anyone who plays just at bonus time will, most of the time, be labeled a bonus abuser, i see the posts on boards every day. I try to play a little with my own money when bonuses are not offered just to counter this EXCUSE not to pay.

I read about a guy who had his account locked out. He was aqused to be a bonus abuser even that he had wagered according the requirment. Then he cashd out and waited until next time casino offered a bonus.

My opinion is that he is not a bonus abuser.
He follows the rules!!

I have desided that I will not play at casinos who do such things.I think it is the only way to help each other. We must let them know that they cant set rules how they want. I think in the long run these casinos will actually dissaper and only the honest stay if we help each other.
