BJ Student,
You got it right. One point wasn't mentioned though. The reason WP used for the change in terms was being overrun by bonus hounds. Problem with that excuse is that most of those hounds received an email invitation
Anyone here with a complaint against WP should contact Real Time Gaming and PayPal (if used).

I've been following this thread with amazement and horror. Winner's Playground has always been one of my favorite online casinos, and one of only two RTG's that I trusted (Gambler's Lobby is the other). Let me see if I have the course of events in this comedy of errors correct:
1) WP advertised a "Summer Celebration" promotion in which players who deposited at least $25 per day Monday-Friday and wagered 2x their deposits would receive a 20% bonus (average of the daily deposits) on Saturday. The bonus would have to wagered 8x to be cashed-out. (I received the email, too, but didn't participate in the promotion.)
2) Midway through the promotion, WP changed the terms of the promotion. Players would now have to wager 5x their deposits to get the bonus. What's worse, they didn't bother to tell anyone!
3) When players complained, WP told irrate players to shove it. They could play by the new terms (which, presumably, many players were still unaware of!) or they could close... | | Read Entire Entry |

I know for a fact that Winners Playground has read this thread and probably checks it often.
With all the problems RTG had in the last year, I would really like to see how they handle this latest fiasco. They had the courage to step up to bat over issues like Merlin, Magic Oasis and others.
RTG, if you're reading this, would you please respond.

The rules now state: We will automatically pay back your average deposit on Saturday, if you have made deposits everyday, from Monday to Friday.
Dave - I think JOB misworded his post; clearly there was no intention to refund lost money on the deposits, since they were offering up to a 2k promo. Wager; win/lose; get up to 2K.
The wording is odd here: All deposits have to be played through at least five times before any withdrawals will be authorized.
They don't seem to state that a 5 times playthrough is required to qualify for the promo - only to qualify for a withdrawal.
The general T & C include: By default, a playthrough of eight (8) times the deposit and/or eight (8) times the bonus is required. Play through requirements may differ for each promotion
...which seems to license them to require up to an EIGHT times playthrough of deposits, as the mood takes them. This wouldn't be the first time WP have been a little hazy on the T & C.

JOB said:
On Saturday, they promised, all deposits would be returned automatically and a bonus of 20% (the average of all deposits) would be in the players' accounts. [Endquote]
JOB is wrong. I read the original offer on
Winners Playground's website, and it simply offers players' a bonus of 20% for depositing all 5 days. The offer never stated that in addition to this bonus, the casino would also refund the customers' deposits. Anyone who read the promo could clearly see that 20% = the average deposit a player has made during all 5 days. So on that issue, I side with the casino.
HOWEVER -- I still maintain the casino had no right to change its rules from TWO TIMES to FIVE TIMES and apply the new rules retroactively. This amounts to outright fraud. Let me give everyone an example of this fraud, since the rules didn't change till late Tuesday, and many players weren't aware of it will late Wednesday:
Monday I buy in for $100
2 x deposit = 2 x 100 = 200
8 x bonus ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Every single RTG casino should be blacklisted. Isn't it just what some casinos are doing to the Danes?
The big difference between Danish players and the criminals and thieves from RTG is that the Danes have never done anything wrong.... except being clever!

Before they locked me out and stole my money they changed the AutoPayPal Deposit Limit to $2000 (from $1500) through the software.
They sent me a letter offering a full refund on Wednesday morning but decided not to honor their offer when I accepted. Looks like others got ripped off too.
I heard of some that cashed out more than their deposits without receiving a bonus and had their winnings stripped off.

RTG casinos have the capability of changing table ranges for individual players, which is why you'd see different table ranges for different players. High rollers should know this already. Palace of Chance is actually advertising 'higher limits available'.
A couple I play at, are at $500 max per hand.

Winners Playground also stole my money.
First they told me they'd refund my deposits after retroactively changing their terms, then after I accept their proposal they only returned my account balance.
They haven't even replied to my last email asking for an explanation.

Woody...thanks, 4 hours wouldn't be that bad I guess.....although I probably couldn't do it under 5. Has anybody gone in to see if they really did make the max bet $10.00? That just seems somewhat ludicrous.
It's felt like an eternity waiting for the Belmont to start today!

I just heard from another player that WP keeps changing the min/max bet on BJ. My friend claims the min is $5 and the max is $10.
When I played there a few days ago they changed it to $10 min / $50 max
Today's the day the bonus is added, so it looks like the casino wants players to almost flat-bet throught the WR. Those that received the maximum bonus of $2000 will have to struggle through $16,000 worth of $5/10 hands.

I'm not 100% sure what her name is. I think she said Marco but don't hold me to it. I scribbled down what she said but she had a slight accent so I may be wrong.
She was ery, ery, ery angry that I posted here and wrote to a few portals and to Real Time Gaming.
She said the publicity here is ery good for her casino and that many more are playing at her casino since it started.
They broke the rules, offered me a way out and then decided not to refund all my deposits as promised.
I haven't bothered the OPA with this yet, but Real Time Gaming and PayPal have been working on it. I will post any follow-ups.
Any help from this board would be appreciated too.

This is the sort of bravado that leads to a hard fall and to me it evidences a deep disrespect for the customer. What is this "manager's" name as I would like to know more about a casino executive with this sort of attitude, bluerib?

TedM you will have to forgive my sensitivity on this payment issue, but there are posters here who delight in seizing upon anything they can find to discredit the OPA or its olunteers and I therefore have a personal policy of challenging anything that might impact the Association or my own reputation.
Why do we do it? I'm damned if I know to be honest because we do get personally attacked for taking certain positions on issues, and the OPA has a number of enemies for obvious reasons.
The closest I can get to it without sounding faux or pompous is an over-developed sense of what is fair and right. It truly bugs me in a personal sense when I see someone getting jerked around or screwed over - and that applies equally to players and honest casinos.
I believe this industry has a great future if we can get the important US market regulated - and it's a lot of fun too!

Jetset relax.
I thought you would take the comment as I meant it: tongue in cheek. We all know OPA is an unpaid olunteer organization. I mean this with all seriousness and I would never even suggest that there is anything unseemly going on.
Why on earth you and many others like Mary oluntarily plunge into this incresingly slimy world with little to no compensation is beyond me.
Maybe you can speak for yourself Brian if not for the other board members of the OPA. Why do you do it? Why do you put up with the hassles and deceptions from both the casinos and the players?
I have enough troubles of my own with respect to online gambling without having to take on an additional caseload of hundreds if not thousands of files.
