Thrawn: Three of us have won more often than we've lost at CON; but I know that I would have lost most times if I'd bet 1-2 units only; it lets me win bigger bets when in nice mode, and makes me lose every one when otherwise LOL...probably it's my own luck at the time that's the key factor.
I might just give VCO another go! For the record, I have found Windows to be the fairest RTG for me overall cos I win a coupla times, then lose a coupla times etc etc. and not just lose lose lose ad nauseum after the first coupla times. I know they have their foes, but gee their 100% weekly bonuses are nice, cos I don't mind losing cos I know I stand a chance of winning later!
And they've always paid within 5 days.

This is my Main Street order:
VCO
TA
LVUSA
Always done great at VCO; pretty much break even at TA; got slaughtered at LVUSA last time out, thus unwilling to return. Am I superstitious?
Re. the question - got slaughtered royally at Golden Reef (BJ) and Mapau (MG days, BJ); of course, my personal cigar goes to Pharoahs' Casino - BJ single deck. Yuuuuuuuck.

Ted: I found the whole three pretty similar. Not total disaster; more that they were much much meaner than other RTGs on my first playthrough. I'm used to having reasonable start at RTGs, and I'm cross if I don't get what I'm used to LOL! Grudgingly admitting they were fair, but ery ery tight at all 3 during my sessions.
VCO: Lost dep, but retained bonus. Cashed out. Then reversed and doubled the bonus. So retained bonus and deposit, no gain above that.
VCUSA: Lost $45; on last $5 + $50 bonus, did reach $130, but lost it before wagering finished.
Twin Aces: Lost $100. Deposited $60 more to complete wagering to obtain bonus. Only ever had to do that twice at all RTGs. They won in long streaks. I did get back to $260 briefly, and could have cashed out something when wagering completed, but carried on and lost all.
I've never been at any other casino group where I have just broken even at one, and lost at two - however, own fault for losing so much as I did. My bet sizes... | | Read Entire Entry |

Thank you for sharing. I hope that things work out for you and I am happy for you that you were able to stop the slide.

Have you had better luck at one of its sister casinos (VCO or Vegas USA)?

Do you feel comfortable announcing which casino has apparently screwed you or do you want to give them more time?

I was able to complete the playthrough requirement for the bonus at CaptainCook's with a small additional profit. However, they gave me a hard time about cashing out (less than $250), demanding I send the copies of my picture ID, utility bills, and both sides of my credit card...even though I did not register or use a credit card to deposit.
When I subsequently tried playing at CasinoKingdom (their sister casino), I felt I had no chance. I steadily lost all the bonus money and all of my $200 deposit (betting $6 or less per hand on blackjack) before I could complete the playthrough requirement to make a withdrawal.

2_cents: Risktaking is in my genes, having my first business at 21 after hitchhiking alone around the UK! Blest that kids were adults before the casino came to town. Son introduced me to BJ/BS, because of interest in probability theory, not the other way around LOL!
Dallas: MB was my first big win (but reversed and lost!) on their $30 bonus. Thereafter never could win on the $20 deposits (then required for Gonegambling BoB game). But when it rose to $50, I won 6x in a row at the Sunnys; I thought maybe there was a kind of threshold to enable less winnings on $20 bonuses? I haven't bothered with them since the new software.

As a member of GG-I played the sunny group when it was MG-never won anything at all-I mean absolutely nothing at any of the 3 casinos-it was the only MG site I felt depositing was throwing my money into the wind-although I know they are solid and reliable and many members win there, that group has been ery unlucky for me!!

I have a degree in economics so I could bore you for some time about attitudes to risk, but I'll cut it down to the basic fact they we are, as are all gamblers, risk loving.
We just gotta accept that we're going to win some and lose a hell of a lot more, it's just part of gambling.
Anyhoo, I'm in the UK and it's getting late so I'm outta here.

2_cents: Thanks for being so open, and you're wise to know you've profited in the lesson learned - good attitude. I know many land BIG losers and count myself lucky that I always lost there as I probably would have lost a helluva lot more thinking it was easy.
I'm one of this board's dummies! Last week I was up $700, lost it all. This week up $500, but lost $800 yesterday; but am now $28 ahead after a better run this morning. However, I've resolved that if ever I get back to square one, my kids are gonna have to take back their computer LOL! Not gonna be an online, as well as a land, loser!
I often think I should give all this up and continue my self development, but truly, with all my options (travel, returning to university, yachting, tramping, you name it) gambling is the only thing that "grabs" me; it's either cos I miss the decisionmaking of business, or I must have been a gambler in another life. When I came upon it, it was if I was home LOL! My family and everyone who ... | | Read Entire Entry |

ickinz,
Thanks for the kind words, but in truth my actions weren't quite so commendable
I started gambling online at Casino On Net (I suppose most do!), I won $1600 playing BJ on my first $50 deposit. I then went on to William Hill where I took over $5000 from my first $150 playing BJ. By this time I was thinking I was some kind of a natural and whatsmore I stiffed Golden Palace for $400 off their $50 free no-deposit offer.
I wasn't even playing basic strategy back then, it was just good ol' beginners luck..but I didn't know it back then.
I then lost several thousand at CON and Will Hill and Ladbrokes was the first Microgaming I stumbled upon. The $1000 drop was made up of a $200 deposit and 2 $400s. It took under an hour and a half to lose it all.
I was already in deep deep trouble with the credit card companies due to CON and Will Hill. I was playing with maxed cards because I new they worked at online casinos for a good $400 over your limit! It was also a... | | Read Entire Entry |

2_cents: I commend you for stopping that long after a big loss; I know I should do that myself, but am too dim! It's so frustrating, cos after big losses, I seem to strike good runs only to be too scared to bet more than the minimum!
Did you lose it gradually or was it one big deposit - had you won earlier at Ladbrokes to risk that much?
Why I ask is that whenever I have done ery well at a casino, then I return, I can't seem to win ever again; even depositing up to about a dozen times!
In a way it's better to take your money and run rather than go back to support them!

Ladbrokes casino about 18 months ago, dropped £1000 on BJ.
Stopped me gambling for nearly a year!
Even now when I play BJ I am too worried about increasing my bets that I end up always losing. It basically ruined my game and took the fun out of gambling for me.
As you can tell it is a bit of a sore spot!!! I'm trying to get back into BJ but that ordeal is still haunting me.

Here's a few I've played 1-4 times, but felt doomed! Not necessarily saying not OK for others, just unlucky for me:
Royal Vegas
Captain Cooks
Ebet
Winit
Twin Aces
Abracadabra
Tahiti Club
Casino Kingdom
Slotland
Oriental
Jamaica
Victor
El Casino
Maybe I've forgotten some. All others weren't bad, even if I lost.
