Of late Slycin has attempted to call "bluff" in regard to Sci Fi disputes.
Too late as the OPA have already called the whole of RTG's bluff.
RTG will sit down with the OPA soon i gather and then we can all see the outcome.
I conclude that Slycins new found confidence relating to Sci Fi dispute resolution is borne out of the fact that RTG have decided to tow the line.Maybe RTG are trying to use Slycin,i don't know.
Licensees and RTG themselves have had thier chance to resolve disputes in the past and cannot afford to stick 2 fingers up to the OPA,therefore the player any longer.
The OPA have made the call.
Attempts by others to mediate are futile.
It has gone too far.
I am happy with the overall game plan of the OPA in regard to RTG in general.
I was mistaken all along in calling the GPWA to work more closely with the OPA.Maybe it could have happened once upon a time but too much water has passed under the bridge.A... | | Read Entire Entry |

That's right - assuming you can get a direct response from the accused in answer to a factual complaint made by a player.
In an overwhelming majority of cases handled by OPA such an honest dialogue leads to fair resolutions. Like over ninety percent.
In the (minority) other cases some operations well known to players decline this opportunity to present their side of the issue and live down to their reputations on previous occasions by screwing the complainants...and suffer the consequences.
I have yet to hear of a case where the OPA Complaints Section has not given an accused (player or casino) the chance to present their side of the story.
It is for this and other reasons that OPA has repeatedly advised players not to trash the accused on message boards for a particular transgression whilst a complaint on that issue is in progress.
But that does not mean that players should ignore the warning signs of previous bad conduct.

I bow to the gracious Suckmaster and MrR for their sense of fair play All of this started by one sentence that I stated on the THIRD page of a Sci-fi thread and it wasn't even nasty in the least towards anyone. Here is the one sentence: I have a problem right now with Sci-fi. That is what started this entire personal barrage. Not one time has anyone asked me the nature of the problem, etc. After consulting with the other party involved (which was why I did not feel I could talk about it as openly as I might have liked), I am now prepared to say this as I just got off the phone with my brother. I had played Sci-fi under my husband's account and he had no problem with getting paid because we lost it all . That in no way reflects on Sci-fi, although it may reflect on hubby's crappy blackjack skills. I was over at my brother's house and I mentioned that I enjoyed gambling online. 8/19, Sucks - SFeagle again stated she had a current problem with SciFi.
8/19, Sucks - I again offer to mediate for her.
8/21, WOL - I see that SFeagle has posted in another thread, so I post a notice to her (in this thread) that I'm still waiting for a response from her.
8/23, Sucks - I've been asked again if SFeagle has responded. Since I've asked SciFi if there are any outstanding complaints, and they've said no, I post that.
8/24, Sucks & WOL - all hell breaks loose, and SFeagle still refuses assistance, or even to come up with any facts for all of us to see.

joeyl, while I am thrilled that you consider the offer fair, I suggest that you look at it from the other side also. Not that I do not alue your opinion, but this matter is no longer about getting screwed by a casino. It is about personal information being passed and spreading lies about persons simply because they chose to ignore an offer that they would have never considered judging from the rhetoric on the other board. The offer from Slycin is there and seems fair.Judging by the confidence in her ability shown in another thread to get movement from Sci Fi i would like to see the OPA get them complaints settled and Sci Fi moved from the OPA blacklist one day although i realise that "approved" status may be pushing it a wee too far.
I assume the OPA complaints are welcome?
If they are then i hope something can be arranged.
Now no-one baffle me with the detail regarding.Not my thing.
My aim is dispute resolution for the player not the OPA GPWA bull****,regardless of accusations to the contrary.

Jondo - I can understand stopping playing at a casino when they drop their VP paytables (they did that only on J/B, by the way), but the rest of what you made your judgment on was hearsay. That's too bad, because until you 'heard' all this, you had enjoyed the casino. I have many players there that enjoy everything about SciFi.

I have played at sci-fi and had no problems.
I quit playing there because:
1- they downgraded their p schedules
2- they did screw over Don & co. They should
have paid the player and given them the
boot.
3- they represent RTG which represents some
of the biggest scum out there
Pyramid/TNT
4- Their dealings with Ted only shows me
they are okay with the nickel(5 cent)
players, but could have cash problems
with larger payouts

Sci Fi casino does release confidential and personal player information to Portal owners. They did it to me and the portal owner posted my name and details on a public board. They are lowlife scum.
