As far as I know they haven't put my name in a negative database. My account is still closed. Vahe did say he would reopen my account if I chose to do so, but he noted that if I continued to only play promotions that it would likely be closed again.

I tend to agree with Caruso - two Security officials, a CSR and six emails constitutes more than a simple mistake and indicates to me that either the CON people are not checking a player's history thoroughly enough in these cases, or more alarmingly are applying a less than fair policy in trying to exclude players they believe to be bonus hunters.
I would hope that CON clarifies this in more detail, as other complaints are starting to emerge and that might start to impact on their otherwise reasonable reputation.

Yes i totally agree on this. Even if you only deposit during promotional periods, and only play for the bonuses using the terms and conditions the casino may decide to lock you out. BUT they CANT confiscate your deposit nor your winnings if you have played accordingly to their terms and conditions...

Received an email from Casino-On-Net Security stating that I will be paid the full balance left in my account. Vahe also wrote and apologized for the incident. Evidently the fault lies with the security department, when closing my account that they should have paid the balance to me. Vahe says he will talk to them to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks for taking care of this.

Jydeman...why take a shot at me? If you don't have something to add other than that then don't waste anyone's time.
I was commenting on caruso's question about what the error was...I was trying to make the point that these casino representatives probably thought they were doing the right thing but, after further review, it was decided to give the customer the benefit of the doubt.
No need to make sarcastic comments.

caruso...I would bet that this account was operating in a kinda' "grey" area. Sometimes it is impossible to make rules that are totally black and white.
Occassionally you have to use common sense when interpreting your position.
If this player has been a good customer for a while then the casino should alway rule on their side (except in severe cases).

as per my post with proccyber, people make mistakes. i think what could have happened here is an overzealous employee thought "hey, let's get rid of anyone who wins to much, and take their money" and proceeded to do so while Vahe is away. I'm sure those responsible for the subtitles involving the moose will be sacked.
yay for CON to quickly clear this up though!

Well, assuming that's the case, it must set a record for speed of complaint resolution. Nice one.
I wonder what the "error" was? Considering that at least three CSRs and six Emails were involved it was pretty deep-rooted.
Awaiting Aceshigh's concluding remarks with interest.

Vahe, Did you or did you not come on this board and basically say that CON and Reef Club were separate but then when it came time for OPA approval and membership slide Reef Club in with CON under the guise they were all owned by cassova? I don't think anyone is convinced that Reef Club and CON aren't anything but one and the same as far as management and ownership. With CONS recent behavior, it has even become more evident.
By the way, the 007 thing used to be a good selling point for CON, but with your recent behavior, its getting old and forgotten.

Just a short note (have to catch a plane). There was an error. It was corrected. Aceshigh's money is already on the way. He will probably confirm it himself.
Errors will happen. Nobody is foolproof. What's important is to own up to your mistakes and correct them.
I think after we paid out $4 Million in 007 there should be no doubt that it's not the amount of money, it the action of the player that we react to.
Wish you all good luck!
Respectfully,

Obviously, from the outside this looks like a bad situation. But we don't have enough information to make a clear decision of who is at fault here.
We are basing our assumptions on the fact that this player did nothing wrong and followed the terms and conditions that were set forward.
The player may or may not have.
What if Aceshigh did abuse the promotion in some way and the $61.00 in their account is actually left over promotional money not their deposit? The remaining balance would in fact be the casino's money not the player's money.
I don't know this as a fact but there is a good chance that even though the email correspondence attached may be factual it may not be the whole picture. There could ery easily be other correspondence that was not included that would shed more light on what the casino considered to be an infraction of their rules.
Sometimes people don't lie...they just don't tell the whole truth in these matters.

This needs to be resolved quickly. It is nearly identical to what Golden Palace and its related casinos did two years ago.
My own experience with CON has been nothing but good. They had always shown themselves to be not only honest, but smart and classy business people. This kind of action is really shocking.

wow... i'm not sure what to say, but this definately rocks my trust in CON, and messes up my persepective on all other casinos now too.. if CON can screw a player out of 60 bucks, then what's to stop Joe Shmoe Casino from screwing a player too? I think if this doesn't get resolved properly (CON paying the 60$) I will request that my CON account be closed.. aceshigh is right when he says that they can kick whoever they want, but to keep the money in his account? that's outright theft...

Last year I got into a dispute with Casino-On-Net over $4000 that I claimed they owed
me over a disputed promotion.
I presented my case on every major message
board that I knew of.
After over 30 days, Casino-On-Net relinquished and paid me every penny in
full.
To Casino-On-Net's credit they never locked
me out of my account or have they they
ever attempted to prevent me from playing
there.
They continue to send me their newletter
and I continue to play some of their
promotions though I have probably lost
a little more than I have won since the
above incident.
I would have to believe that this lockout
for promotion abuse is an isolated incident.
It seems to me to be an aberration from how
C-O-N normally conducts their business.
If they were to lock out people for promotion
abuse at C-O-N, I should be one of the first
to go. So far it has not happened.
One way to not invite promotion ... | | Read Entire Entry |

Hello,
First, I would like to request Aceshigh to send me his email address and I will investigate.
Second, Casino-on-Net never lied about its relationship with Reef Club Casino. Please check the facts before making allegations.
Aceshigh, please send your email address to ahe@casino-on-net.com. As I am on the road, please allow until the beginning of the next week for me to respond.
Sincerely,

Considering the millions thay paid out for 007, that they would risk such dreadful publicity for the sake of a couple of dollars is extraordinary. Makes no sense whatsoever.
Has the CON management changed? It doesn't seem like Vahe could be in charge of something like this, and it DOES sound like JUST the sort of thing our old friend Eric The Shark from Greef Club would pull.

I also think this is not good from any casino, if this really has happened.
The casino should allways abide by its bonus terms and conditions. Otherwise its no good to make terms and conditions, they just could say we have every right to steal your money and lock your account. I currently hope my last cashin at con will be processed. If this issue you are talking about will be solved, i think i will be stopping all my large deposits at con for atleast a while, to see what the results are. In my mind if you have wagered the wagering requirements you should be paid fully.

Now that the OPA has terminated Reef Club's membership, I am hoping the OPA will terminate CON's membership too.
If you check the new OPA's website, you'll see Cassava has iolated the casino
"code of ethics".
Ofcourse, the player must first file a complaint. Let's see if Cassava does the right thing, when faced with losing its approved status.

Assuming this is all true (and the Emails lead me to believe you are being ery open about this situation). This is ery unlike Casino-on-Net. In fact, it is the opposite of how they have always conducted business.
Apparently you are a long term winner at CON, but that doesn't give them the right to keep your remaining funds. As you've stated, and as any CON player knows, CON will send multiple Emails urging players to take advantage of their promotions.
Since CON is located in Antigua, you may want to try filing a complaint there. I doubt it will do much good, but it is worth a try.
Good luck and file an OPA complaint.
CON, you may want to reconsider your decision on this one (unless there is something we aren’t being told.)

WOW. I'm almost speechless. I used to be a big fan of CON, but unlike some people here, the whole Reef Club incident put a permanent bad taste in my mouth about CON as well... they are related and are now proving their dishonesty further. If those emails are real (and I do trust they are), this is an outrage. I will never give CON my business again. Stealing a player's money while locking the account IS theft. I feel for you, too. You should file a complaint with the OPA if you can't get it resolved directly through them. Or perhaps Gambling Grumbles. I hope their good name gets flushed after a stunt like this, if they refuse to resolve it.

This is as ridiculous as a supermarket banning a shopper because they only come to redeem the Sunday coupons.
Why do you produce the coupons?--to attract the buyer that is incremental and it adds to your normal customer base.
And suppose this particular supermarket has the ast percentage of the available shoppers to begin with?--What can drive them to such heights of stupidity, that they would shun the ery "extra" business they tried to attract in the first place.
It's because the Acme manager across the hall bitched that his income has grown of late, but that the new customers are too smart to be dealt with. They follow all the rules, and manage to save money on their overall food needs. They must be driven of an evil seed, and need to be exorcised!
And the empire begins to crumble.

Casino-On-Net, which used to be considered one of the classiest and most trusted casinos, has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I would warn everyone to be wary of playing there. They closed my account and refuse to return my balance to me. It could happen to you. Here is the situation:
The reason they give for closing my account is that I played too many promo's. These are promo's which they continued to invite me to take part in by email. Now it is true that lately I have mostly been playing promo's there, however, prior to that I made numerous non-promo deposts and frequently lost them while gambling. The issue is not that they closed my account. Any casino has a right to bar players and refuse their business. But Casino-On-Net has flat out told me they will not be giving me the money rightfully due me. It is pure theft, and it could happen to anyone that they deem to be undesirable. I know of others who have had their accounts closed as well. I have a balance of $61.50 in my casino accou... | | Read Entire Entry |
