IMO, Playtech cheats. I cannot give you confidence in their games. IMO, all their card games are really slot type games, i.e. they are set up to pay out a certain %. IMO, Playtech's card games are not randomly dealt.

About streaks. Yesterday I experienced a ery long winning streak in BJ at a ery known casino. Actually I didnot count wins, but my balance went from $228 (the start - my first win) to $334 (my first lost) with two pushes in between. I was betting mostly $5 and $1 (roughly 50/50), only once I bet $25, won all splits and doubles. I guess there was about 20-30 streight wins between pushes. I have experienced this only once before. Actually, I am a slot player and used BJ this time to get more money for slots where I was gradually losing. BJ is not my game. After switching to slots afterwards my balance balance went from $334 to $140 in no time when I hit a $300 prize. I deposited $300.

Well the logic goes like this:
I win money at Playtech first, then lose it to Boss Media and MG.

How hard is it to understand ?

So on the one hand, you say "there is at least once a month when I chase losses and chop at least 50% (actually 150% just last month!) of my winnings for the entire month. I have just done it again for May. It really feels horrible. I'm done."

...and on the other, you say "I do have a trick to beat their (Playtech) BJ (sorry can't share)."

I think your trick works 49% of the time ("I know a trick!!!") and loses 51% of the time ("I just lost everything").

Not a trick I want to learn about.

Speaking of Playtech, has anyone heard of Carnival Casino? Do they pay? Got a 200% signup offer in my email so I'm interested if I should try them. Thanks!

Please don't.

Just saying there is one is plenty bad enough.

You mean consistenly? And how did you found this trick? Is it a bug or just some strategy?

If you can win consistenly then you are a rich man!

Up to this point I am still a winning with Playtech BJ. I do have a trick to beat their BJ (sorry can't share). But their slow pay/ not pay problems totally neutralize the joy of winning.

Doesn't that BS suggest to hit 2,2 & 3,3 s 2 & 3 along with 6,6 s 2? If you are hitting those hands, you should split them instead, although given the infrequency with which they occur, it probably would only gain you 25 cents for every $100 wagered. But I'm a big believer in "every little bit helps".

Also, if I remember right, the dealer does not check for BJ under the Ace so I think you would not split 8,8 s A or A,A, s A, two more exceptions to the KO BS.

So that's 7 plays that you would misplay using the KO BS. It just shows the importance of knowing the rules of the game you are playing and finding and using the correct BS that goes along with specific set of rules. There are alot of different rules on internet BJ that you just don't find in real casinos.

As Syd says, it's a great idea to keep track of BJ/W/L/T for all you...

Powderhorn,
You were right to be wary in your first post. I played five sessions of BJ at a Playtech earlier this week and was murdered. My advice would be steer well clear of these casinos. We may not yet have a Casino Bar case proved scenario yet, but why take the chance?

Good luck to anyone who persists in playing this software - I'll give you a dollar for food if I spot you homeless!

Seriously though, I've just played three sessions at Casino365's (Boss) Java casino.

And let me tell you it was an absolute joy not to be beaten every time holding a two-card 20 ersus a dealer's two-card 16, with the inevitable five following.

Oh yeah, I even got to win with 19 ersus a dealer's 10 up card, and even saw the dealer bust on stiff hands. Completely different story with Playtech though....

Agreed. A progression will not change the outcome, just creates greater ariance.

Why would you even think about using a negative progression if online seems so streaky?

You said you should take advantage of the streaks, which would be to employ a positive progression such as reverse D'Alembert.

Still, it won't change to outcome, no matter what you do.

If you want to make more money, you should think about stepping up another level (won't go into that here).

KX: That was the "coolest" flame I ever got....I agree with you completely....all the statistical analysis' I've ever seen supports your opinion, but I just cannot help myself when I start to go into a dive. I think the problem is that it has worked for me so many times....I just can't stop.

I wonder if there is a progressions anonymous group.....

Syd; Flame flame. Seriously, without card counting the size of ones bets doesn´t effect ones EV at all. It does effect the standard deviation though. But to use any type of progression is in my opinion truly pointless (but as I said, it doesn´t make a difference, so it won´t hurt you either =))

Powder Horn: One final note...did I mention the winning streaks? They do happen but usually it is only a streak of 3-4. If you are feeling lucky you might want to look at a positive progression like Walter Thomason's on bj21.com. I will probably get flamed for this but as it is irtually impossible to count cards on the internet I feel that one must have some sort of progression strategy. Vickinz has a secret "go for broke" strategy which I am getting more and more curious about....

I lean more toward the negative side which is suicidal in the event of a 10-14 straight loss....but sometimes it works for me. Also, the W/L/P results above are from the frequent poster Caruso, which represents a generic average expectation of hands in BJ..but I'm thinking that ratio would apply to 1000+ hands.

Thankyou everyone!!! I truely believe that my problem was bad luck rather than rigged software.But I could not help feeling a little skeptical after losing at all 3 Playtech casinos using carefull play.I will however try Clubdice this week using Syd,s advice on record keeping.I will also keep track of how the baccarat game goes, and of course let everyone know results.Agian thanks alot Syd, your description of streaky play at the tables is exactly what I saw to.

Powder horn,

Since the Sunny group switched to Playtech I've put $12,000 into blackjack action, flat betting $5, and am ahead $10.

I like the software for speed, second only to RTG. I can get about 600 hands per hour using RTG and about 400-450 using Playtech. I dislike the Playtech no peek rule.

Sirius, Acropolis software and StanleyAcropolis Software are the same - in fact Stanley Leisure bought the whole Acropolis (and Avolon) establishment more than a year ago (for 8 million - what a waste :-) But i can assure you that they cannot rig the game - there are no such options as a lever or anything to control payouts - - i know this from personal experience

Powder Horn: Overall I'm down with Playtech - but I love the software (the quick pace at which I can play (lose), so I keep going back. The past couple of times I've been relatively lucky but in each of those times it was an extremely "wild, nailbiting ride" and when I finally do manage to get ahead - I run like hell. I personally think it is the "streakiest" out there. I've had 12-13 straight losses at times. If you can recognize that you're in that streak and try not to progression your way out - you'll be ok. I've analyzed the play of my sessions and it is right in line with "Caruso's Bar" (I nicknamed it that because that's where I got it),

Win = 43.2%
Lose = 47.9%
Push = 8.9%

Start recording your plays, do it yourself in Excel as the play transaction history on Playtech only goes back about 23 hands. It makes me feel better even if I've lost. I then can look at my betting strategy and see where I could have improved, etc.

Good Luck!<...

You can't predict when it will happen at all in any meaningful way. The only reason you won over 40k is because you were lucky. You had more chance of losing. The tie is the worst bet in baccarat by a long way, especially if it pays 8 to 1 (some places pay 9 to 1)! You will lose at a far greater rate in the long run betting tie. The long run isn't ery long in this case!

The certainty of losing kicks in only after several thousand tie bets even at 9 to 1. At 8 to 1 you will be almost certain to have lost overall in around 500 tie bets! At least with betting player or banker you can possibly be ahead after around 100,000 bets.

The first time I downloaded an online casino and before I knew anything about the games (early 1999) and didn't know what I was doing, I went from $1000 in fun money to well over $20,000 betting $100 tie *all* the time. Because my balance hardly went down, I thought I could go on forever winning and got bored and stopped. The fun money mode wasn't rigged and it was...

I turned my $75+$75 to $300 at Club Dice and the $75+$75 to $200 at Casino Tropez (was up to $400 at top). Lost at both Swiss and City Club.

i only bet on either bank or player when I play Baccarat

hehehe thats your problem! you're missing out on a fortune in Tie bets! I've made > 40k myself just by predicting when the tie will happen.

I just jioned Winner Online and I think this forum is great!!! However I need just a little bit of help from somebody out there to tell me that nothing is wrong and what i experienced is just negative ariation. I have played at ClubDice,Casino Tropez,and Swiss Casino. I like the software ery much and want to play agian.But after an ggregate of $7000 worth of 1-5 dollar bets I managed to lose $423 playing blackjack and baccarat at the above mentioned casinos.I use the generic basic strategy suggested in "KO Blackjack", and i only bet on either bank or player when I play Baccarat. Can some body tell me about there win at a Playtech casino or who does thier game auditing. I still believe it to be bad luck ,but never the less I am starting to get skeptical about Playtech software. Please tell me that I am full of it. THANK YOU !!!
