Sirius......thank you for bringing this back up. It was swept under the rug and forgotten.....just like everything about crypto.
We all forget too quickly.
What about when someone hacked into their servers so that all 7's would show on slots or something like that.....didn't know this would be possible if using a true RNG.
Good thing was they payed out all the winnings....was this so that they would not bring too much attention to the situation?
Many questions remain about crypto and their operation.

Sirius...
If you are going to dig up 15 month old threads, why don't you at least acknowledge
this when you comment on them?
This way people can understand things better when going through all the previous posts.
Now go back down the mineshaft, and find some more relevent threads, and bring them up for some daylight & fresh air...

Vicki,
You are correct. Crypto does own WOL. However, I think the lesson here is that Crypto is the one who should be FRONT AND CENTER on this issue.
As I state before, 49er does not control the game server. If there were an error, it was with the Crypto Software.
Therefore, it is for Crypto to answer these questions, since 49er does not have access to the game server.
If the individual casinos have access to the game servers, its a wonder that anyone ever wins anything, since the casinos could set their own payout rates whenever they chose.
For software to be alid, the casinos cannot have access to the gaming software.

Good question kidcool. How bout an answer OPA?
How did you determine the pop up message was a legitimate technical error?
Or is that part of the agreement to not talk about this anymore?
I am glad you are satisfied Jan. And i understand you taking whatever they offered since the alternative was to be a total screw job.
Moral of story- Will stay away from 49er casino until i have more facts than have been presented.
Cant play at a place where if i hit big jackpot i wonder what % of it i will eventually get.

I got a gut feeling that I have won the break the bank at least once but due to the server's misfunction the "wrong combination" messages were displayed instead of the right ones.

Was it more than 60 bucks?
70...80...?
Hope that one of the conditions is not that you have to spend it all at 49er casino.
Good luck JanG

JanG here with the good news that 49-er casino has done the right and fair thing by making a confidential and completely satisfactory settlement offer that I am pleased to accept without reservation. I would like to thank the OPA for assisting me in reaching this pleasing conclusion to a difficult situation

Jetset - no flaming, and certainly no berrating the OPA; thanks for the clarification. Looking forward to what Jan has to say when he's able to put in an appearance. What a sickener for the player, though. Like winning the lottery, then realizing you forgot to do the numbers that particular week. I'd microwave my head for less.

Boy, you guys sure are quick to make assumptions and start berating your Association.
There is nothing sinister in the silence; the player is simply awaiting clearance on a payment to his bank account after which he will be making the post you are all clamouring for.
I would add that having carefully examined the evidence provided freely by both sides the OPA is satisfied that the pop-up error was genuine, that the player did not win the jackpot and that the agreed settlement is fair.
I cannot and will not disclose anything further than that in terms of the confidentiality agreement reached between the player and the casino in achieving a settlement.
Flame me if you will, but this sort of arrangement is customary in this type of settlement, the player has signed it, and I will not breach it.

How quaint..
Use the strength of the numbers backing an OPA to broker a deal..Get held over a barrel gagging the OPA from telling the OPA..
Jetset...You have now swapped the "New" OPA's transparency for a few quid in Jans pocket.
Why do such a thing?
What have the membership gained?

One way or another this thread needs putting to bed, which won't happen until one of the parties involved gives some indication that a resolution was achieved.
Jetset - a simple yes or no would be better than nothing. If there was a genuine software error, I see no reason for the fact not to be publicised. As it stands, this reflects TERRIBLY on Crypto. Is their ownership of the board at all to do with the silence?

My opinion is that JanG should have been paid either way. As several ppl have mentioned, if there is a software glitch in favor of the casino the player wonīt get paid. So, if thereīs a software glitch in favor of the player the player should ofcourse be paid.
Itīs the casinos responsibility that those things donīt happen. Iīm ery surprised by how Cryptologic has acted in this matter. When they were "hacked" they paid out all winnings despite the error in the software. This is the way a serious software provider should act, and this is the way Cryptologic should have acted to boost confidence in the companys rep. when trying to win landbased contracts.
In this case I donīt even think there was a software glitch...

Jetset said that OPA twechnicals did check Crypto's explanations why that "error" occurs.
Did the OPA get convinced that an error did actually occur?
That is the main point, from my point of iew

I've heard of no one else getting the winners message which lends a lot of credibility to this being a legitimate win. I doubt Crypto thought anyone would ever hit it with such long odds. Any on-line casino can come along and say "sorry, there was a malfunction" anytime anyone wins big. How is the player suppose to prove it wasn't a legitimate win? They can't. Everything is in the casino's control.
I feel for Jan. The casino has you over a barrel in this situation. You either take what they offer or nothing and they continue to say "opps sorry, malfunction."
I would be surprised if they even offered $1000. Another reason not to ever trust or play at at Cryptologic site.

Im kind of surprised about this cos the regulated arena is going to open up in the UK in the next couple of years.
Stuff like this makes the crypto management look poor, and a change of legal entity for the push into the UK regulated market will be hindered by a management that has acquired a bad reputation through poor software and a secret deal.
It could prove to be a seriously false economy.
'Proper fitness of the owner/manager' is a broad term and includes 'connected parties' like family and associates, business or personal, and the online community will be watching like hawks when those first licences are awarded.

I think logic would dictate that it is true...if 49er had paid him the whole amount or even close to that they would be posting it all over the place. The silent treatment IMHO is a strong indication that they screwed JanG. Sorry JanG...
Additionally, I think OPA should put them on the "Not recommended" list if JanG didn't get all of it. Just my 2 cents

Being danish I am able to follow the danish forums and I can tell you that I good reasons to believe that JanG was paid 1% or less. I have to stress though that JanG never revealed the ammount he was paid. Take it for what it's worth from a new poster

JanG, you need to bring closure to this thread by posting about the settlement and your feelings about it.
You may not be able to tell us the amount but you can give us a good idea. Say something like... " the settlement amount made me:
a. "happy"= 10% or less of the $100m.
b. "very happy"= 25%
c. "very,very happy"= 50%
d. "ecstatic"= 75%
e. "delirious"= 100% (and impossible, lol).
Maybe they paid him $99,940 and he offered to let them keep the $60 they wanted him to take originally, (blink).
Whatever, its been a week so let us hear the conclusion JanG.

So.......
Whaaaaaasssssssuuuuuuupppppp?!?!?!?!?
If that casino did not pay 100% of what they owed the player, they are crooked and nobody should be playing there! Did they pay?

Gamerz: What you say crystellizes my own observations. Dozens of times in the past 3 weeks, we have tried to cash out, only to have it say "connection lost" and can't get banking page for hours. I've lost my gains several times because of being stupid enough to play again; and it's always in takedown mode like they win 4-6 and I win just 1 hand over and over! Never had this cashout problem until recently.
Tonight, a casino came up as busy and to try again later. Ten minutes later got in, but lost 24 wins to casino against my l0, so whole stake gone. Actually flatbetted and adhered to BS rules for a change - just doesn't work well for me.
Yes, what you think happens, makes sense of what I experience.
